When my Philly sandwich came out it didn't have meat on it

Very disappointed in dinner last night. Started with he wrong beer. Then waitress didn't refill our water so we had to get it ourselves. For the finally they forgot to put the meat on my Philly sandwich. The said they were remaking it but considering how burnt it was they just reheated it.

Awesome shaded lakeside porch for listening to music and grabbing a bite.

4 stars are entirely about the deck and the view. Nothing to do with the food. most recently we watch snow geese fly by. So cool! We still come here every year during our annual trip to MI. Just keep your food expectations low and enjoy the surroundings. We would not go, if we couldn't sit on the porch. Have been there when the porch is packed and it's always fun people watching. Most recently there were very few people and we also thoroughly enjoyed the quiet.

We had the best time here. The food was delicious and drink were great!

What a great afternoon with sunshine, friends, drinks and some delicious food. This is a hot spot for bikers. Over looks the Muskegon River up on Hardy Dam. During the summer they have a band almost every night.

Got here and there were only a few people here. Many people showed up while we waited. The service was SUPER slow. We ordered the loaded fries and when they finally came out they had clearly sat and cooled down. My chicken club salad had a very small dry chicken breast on it but it was okay, nothing special. My wife had ordered the vegetable soup and it came out looking more like chili and she only had a few bites, she said it was awful. The waitress was totally confused and unorganized. She didn't even know what the soup of the day was and never bothered to find out. We ended up asking another waitress. The burgers sounded good but I will never find out because I'll never eat here again. It's too bad because the view is excellent and it's a perfect halfway point for a nice motorcycle ride.

    Real A.

Lived in Newaygo growing up but never came here until coming back in to town to visit my parents. I went on a Friday afternoon and ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap with house chips...and I loved it! Real good food, friendly service, with my familiar small-town feel.

Big deck, outside bar & on the water! Gas pumps for boats even!

Great lunch spot! Haven't had a meal I didn't enjoy yet! Love the live local bands and the outside deck. Great with the locals too.

This is Crispy rangoon pockets filled with fried duck bacon blended with sweet corn and cream cheese inside a fried wonton. Served with spicy honey. This was one of the best thing's I've eaten in years. They are absolutely delicious. I also ordered their 3 Meat Smoker Bbq combination ($40). I got Ribs, Brisket, and Smoked Wings. Served with baked beans, potato salad, and corn bread. The Ribs werd delicious. Tender and very tasty. The brisket was very good. The wings were good, but small. I got the Bourbon sauce and their Bbq sauce. The Bourbon sauce was excellent and the bbq sauce was tasty, but I definitely preferred the bourbon sauce. The baked beans were excellent. I'm a little bit of a baked bean snob, and these pass my test. The potato salad was okay, but I didn't finish it. The Cornbread was also excellent! The service was were this place failed brilliantly. I walked in and was ignored by the older lady who was having a slow conversation with another customer and didn't even acknowledge me. I decided to use the restroom. When I came out there was a girl on the phone for 5 minutes for someone making a reservation. Again didn't even acknowledge me. Their was the older lady standing back by the bar, looked like either an owner or manager, just having a conversation with another employee the entire time. Just ignoring me. Finally a waitress walked up after waiting way too long and asked If I'd been helped. After being seated it took almost 10 minutes to get served. The place wasn't even 50% full, so there was no excuse. After finally ordering the service was hit or miss. Okay for a little bit then absent again. When I was actually served it was very friendly. I was considering ordering one of their new shakes, but with the absentee service a d her nit even asking if I wanted dessert, I decided against it. Overall the rating is difficult. The food and atmosphere definitely deserve a 5. The service was so bad the rating should be a 3 at best. However considering those Wontons I'll give the place an iffy 4 star review! Would I return? If only for the Wontons than an absolute yes.

The first choice was unavailable, then the second, then the third. After joking with our server that if the fourth beer wasn't available she should just bring us both Cokes, she returned to let us know that one was unavailable as well. To her credit, she did bring the Cokes!! After placing our order, there was a lengthy wait before any food arrived. We were at the restaurant far longer than expected for a meal consisting of soup, salad, and a steak dinner. Unfortunately, much of the food was barely warm, and some items that should have been served hot were cold. My husband ordered the porterhouse steak with French onion soup, waffle fries, and coleslaw. I ordered the fried goat cheese salad and onion petals. The waffle fries and onion petals were cold when served. When our server checked on us, we politely mentioned the issue. The waffle fries and onion petals were remade, but while the fries came back hot, the onion petals were still cold. Beyond that, there was little effort made to address the rest of the meal or improve the experience.

It t was perfect since we didn't have to wait at all for our table but the place was busy; lots of people were excited to be there. We ordered our drinks and the beet and goat salad to split as an appetizer. It was delicious and huge with loads of goat cheese and tasty pickled beets and zesty arugula. For our meal, I ordered the Pork Schnitzel with squash and zucchini and my wife got the whitefish that was one of the specials. The schnitzel had an incredible mushroom sauce and was cooked perfectly with the right balance of crispy and tender. We had a great time and plan to make the drive there regularly! It's great for a date night or a group or family meal!
