This is a small ice cream and coffee shop that you don't wanna miss that is tucked away at the end of the Saint Petersburg pier! We had grabbed a drink and an appetizer at the restaurant three stories up, but we we had a plan to stop here on our way out for some delicious and creamy ice cream. It was later at night and not busy, but we were greeted by really friendly staff. My daughter chose a waffle cone with butter pecan, and I chose a small dish of coffee ice cream with chocolate chips on top. The cone was generous and packed carefully, as were the toppings in my dish, and the staff were great. After dinner at Doc Ford's, we decided to take a stroll to the end of the pier. At the end of the rainbow is this cafe, where we decided to get some of their homemade ice cream, even though it was a freezing 40 degree January evening. One scoop was $5, but that was plenty. Don't remember the flavor as it was several months ago, but was worth the purchase. It was a cold afternoon at the pier and I desperately needed something to warm me up. I also wanted an excuse to try their coffee. The space is tiny. Can fit less than 5 people if you want to properly social distance. Outdoor seating available. The cafe serves coffee, beer, wine, ice cream, sandwiches, pastries, pizza and more. My family and I ordered a caramel oat milk latte for, decaf caramel latte and hot chocolate. If I wasn't freezing, I would have also ordered ice cream. Their selection looked tempting. My latte was good, plenty sweet. Not sure if they forgot the flavor on the decaf caramel latte, but my son complained that it wasn't sweet. I took a sip, and can confirm that I didn't taste any caramel flavor. I still thought it was enjoyable though. Prices were comparable to other cafes in the area. The staff was pleasant. A nice, modern cafe at the end of St. Pete pier with good drinks/food and awesome views! I visited with my family on a Sunday morning around 10am, and we had a great time. The service was quick and everyone was friendly and helpful - they even gave us tips on where to visit in Tampa. There's plenty of menu options here. They have a cute seasonal menu with fun lattes too, I wish I'd seen that before we ordered. We tried their regular drip coffee, london fog, matcha latte, and strawberry loaf. Everything was really good with the exception of the london fog, which tasted very diluted - however, that didn't bother us. This is the cafe at the end of the St Pete Pier. They actually have a surprisingly pretty substantial menu to include not only coffee, but also boozy or non-boozy shaved ice, sandwiches, pizza, "picnic baskets" (charcuterie board) and gelato. I went here in the morning so I just ended up getting my coffee fix. They had some cold brew coffee and I went with the Japanese style brew and was really pleased. It was a really bold yet slightly sweet brew that was really some of the better cold brews I've experienced. Overall, I'd recommend trekking up to this cafe if you go to the pier! read more

The drinks are good, although a bit on the pricey side for the different coffees and cold brews, and there's a good variety of your standard cafe items like sandwiches, ice cream, and desserts. The real outstanding thing about this place is the views. Located at the base of the Pier, you get amazing 360 degree views of Tampa Bay and the St. Pete downtown skyline. Paired with perfect weather, this should be the go to spot to enjoy the outdoors. The cold brew I got was a solid enough drink. Deep flavors and fruity notes like you would expect. This coffee shop has an amazing view off the pier and milk alternatives. They also do ice cream, alcohol, and a few other things. The cafe con leche was pretty decent. Not the best Cup I've ever had but I mean when you get it at a real Cuban place ya know you've ruined your life forever after that. But still pretty decent and they were open at like 730a on a Saturday at the end of the pier, which is a husky walk from beach to get to work. 4/5 would recommend to a friend! read more

The new Driftwood Cafe is located at the ground level of the new St Pete Pier, rising nine feet from the Pier Point deck and connecting to the tilted lawn with beautiful downtown St Pete Skyline and waterfront views. There's tons of boats coming in and out of the area and theres really a lot to see from the top of the hill. Ther entrance of the Driftwood Cafe is a covered patio with shaded seating and theres a live band at the bottom of the hill playing some nice chill tropical island style reggae music. The inside of the Driftwood Cafe occupies a very small space which provides patrons with access to choose from sandwiches, desserts, ice cream, or chips on display behind glass. There is a 4 party menu displayed on 2 TV'S which is a little less than ideal because the screens are constantly alternating between menus and it's difficult to read the menu you want to. I'd prefer if Driftwood management could have 4 seperate tvs to display each paet of the menu without switching or if management could just print out a simple paper menu to display a on the wall the old fashioned way. To eat, Driftwood Cafe serves pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, mergherita pizza with tomatoes Mozarella balsamic, breakfast pizza, Cobb salad, Caesar salad, spinach salad, roast beef sandwiches, double decker club sandwiches, Italian sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, pressed Cuban sandwiches, pressed Caprese panini sandwiches, a meat & Cheese charcuterie platter. For dessert, Driftwood Cafe serves apple strudels, chocolate chip cookies, black and white cookies, brownies, blueberry scones, sticky cinnamon buns, banana bread, chocolate hazelnut croissants, guava bear-claws, almond croissants, key lime pie, lemon poppyseed, biscotti, and several flavors of ice cream. For coffee, Driftwood Cafe serves 10 types of espresso, 4 types of coffee, with 8 types of flavors. For adult beverages, Driftwood Cafe serves 8 reasonably priced beers for $5 to $6.75 but their wines are priced well above average for $14 to $24. After taking a look at all the offerings, we ended up getting the Gold lager brewskie by Saint Archer Brewing Company from San Diego, California because I've never seen this offered before anywhere and the Chandon Brut Rose from Yountville, California. Both drinks were adequately chilled and pretty good! You have to walk inside to place an order and you can enjoy your beverages and food outside on the patio if you can find a table available. The Driftwood Cafe could definitely put out more tables on the grassy area because it can be tough to find an open table when it gets busy with only 5 tables out on the patio. While the Driftwood Cafe bills itself a casual Cafe with lower cost options than the other restaurants at the pier, it sadly does not offer enough tables to sit, does not offer any table service, and does not offer any menu items that really caught my eye aside from very basic sandwiches and pizza. I will have to come back to try some ice cream next time even though I might not be able to find a spot to sit. If desserts, coffee, pizza or sandwiches are not your thing, save yourself the hassle of trying to wait in line to order off a limited menu and fighting for a table and go upstairs for a much greater variety of menu options and ample seating at the other pier restaurants: Pier Teaki, Teak, and Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille. read more

Came in during our trip to Florida as we were exploring the Saint Petersburg pier. I love the location of this spot because it's close to the end of the pier. So there's definitely some great views around here if you want to come with family and friends for a nice afternoon. We got some of the gelato which was pretty good nothing spectacular. They don't seem to have a very large menu because it seems to be a spot for a snack and drinks. The only thing that I didn't like which is why I gave two stars is because I got the pineapple mint drink which was so horrible because it tasted like water. I thought I was going to get some fresh pineapple in the drink and some fresh mint leaves, but I saw as they were making it, it looked like they scooped in chunks of canned pineapple, and then they squirted mint syrup in there. It tasted literally like nothing, like a watered down pineapple juice. That's why I gave two stars because it was very disappointing, almost felt misled by the description of the drink. I don't think that I'll be back again, maybe for the gelato but that's about it. read more
