Really, how can you not love a place that has such a long happy hour and considers you a regular (even if you are a tourist) after two nights stopping in? The bar manager Tommy is cool, as were all the staff we dealt with. It's a nice place to hang out, but kind of hard to spot physically. This place is laid back and perfect for a quiet drink with a friend or two. The staff is always friendly and ready to refill your drink before you even have a chance to ask for another! This was the perfect bar to kick off my night before attending the Maverick Music Festival! Their happy hour specials are really awesome and last til 9 pm. The well drinks were only $2.75 and all of the beers were cheap too. It's pretty cool that the music can be controlled through the app Rockbot to pick songs. I hadn't ever seen that before. This bar was very nice and clean and our bartender rocked it! Really strong drinks too. She was the only one serving the whole bar for the majority of the time I was there between 7-9ish and there were a good 25 people there. She kept everyone's drink filled with a smile on her face. I totally love Drink Bar. We started meeting their with quite a big group early this year, and each and every time I go I am pleasantly reminded of is greatness. The staff is super-friendly and they know their drinks. The owner now has them squeezing fresh juice so no corn syrup in your juice! Drink has a really comfortable, classy, and very clean lounge area on both sides of the bar. They also have big screen TV's in case there is a big game, but they don't overwhelm you with too much volume. Sweet little jukebox as well. I think this is an okay venue. It was small but nice and clean and had a lot of sitting areas. There was a DJ that was way too loud for the venue and acted like he was playing for 500 people. I couldn't talk to anyone without yelling at the top of my lungs and even then would have to yell 2-3 times to get heard. The DJ's music was okay though. They had some really decent beer choices; but honestly if they have a DJ like this every night - I won't be going back. Too small for my liking and too easy to overcrowd. read more

Walked in looking for a cold drink and could not get passed the smell of bathrooms permeating throughout the entire bar. Worse than a stairwell going to a NY subway because you expect to drink or consume food and beverage in a bar whereas in a stairway to a subway you expect the stench. Raise your standards Drink Texas or get an outsider to do a sniff test. You guys might be TOO USED to it. The smell is really unacceptable. read more

We were visiting San Antonio and we stumbled across this place. First when we walked in, it was empty but then again what can you expect for a Friday at 3pm. They were having a special on Jack Daniel's and we were all over it! (Honey jack and simply lemonade on the rocks, you'll thank me later). Stopped into this place before hitting up The Davenport for an Elite event, had a half hour to kill so decided to give this place a go. Nice call. They had surprisingly good beer on draft and I'm a craft beer fan, our bartender knew her beer too. I had a Dales Pales Ale and my lady had their signature cocktail called "The Drink." I had a sip and it was as good as any cocktail I've had in the city to be honest. We were there during happy hour, think two cocktails and my beer topped out around 20 bucks. This place had a neighborhood type feel, a pub like vibe. It was open and welcoming and our bartender was super friendly, very engaging and attentive and wanted us to have an enjoyable experience and wanted us to come back. Knowledge is the key! Educate your staff on local San Antonio brewed beer. Short Hispanic bartender gave my boyfriend and I an attitude. Told him this is a local bar, all beer on tap is local. She pointed out St Arnold and Karbach, said these are local beers. I responded to her, I'm from Houston.. You cannot tell me St Arnold and Karbach are brewed in San Antonio. Our group wandered into this bar in search of some air conditioning and a break from the Riverwalk. We were intrigued by the positive Yelp reviews, and the sign advertising happy hour from 2-8pm sounded promising. It was disappointing. It is a generic bar with generic drinks at so-so prices. Beers were $3, well drink $3.50 , and premium cocktails were $4.50. You can go down a couple blocks to other places like the Esquire and Soho that have similar happy hour prices, imaginative cocktails, and more interesting atmosphere. Drink did have some comfy looking sofas (that I didn't sit on because I was afraid I might fall asleep) that might be nice for watching a game and drinking a beer. read more
