Very nice rooftop bar in downtown! It's on the 10th floor of the Kimpton Santo which is also a fantastic hotel. Gorgeous views, nice seating areas, and beautiful drinks in a great setting. Their cocktails are all tropical themed, plus beer and wine. Good, friendly service. Of note kids are not allowed after 6 pm, but we stopped by at 3 pm and saw a couple of families and it seemed comfortable with open seating in their couches/ lounge area. This is a very delayed review. ^__^* Tenfold Rooftop is a beautiful lounge perched at the top of the Kimpton Santo, and it absolutely delivered. The service was wonderful from start to finish, and while rooftops always come with the gamble of wind or heat, the day we visited was truly perfect. Our server was incredibly kind and took the time to walk us through the vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. 2 of us did the Tenfold Tour (10x Tour), and everything we tried was delicious. The ceviche and the crispy rice were especially standout--fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Between the views, the thoughtful service, and the tasty food, this was a fantastic experience. I was here as a walk-in on a Thursday night and it was so alive. The lights, the drinks, the atmosphere! The DJ playing was doing catchy mixes, had me moving from side to side. Great city skyline views, appetizers and chic trendy decor. I stopped by around 4ish with no reservation but a curiosity of the city views from this semi-new rooftop bar (approx 1yr old). The views, the decor and design of the place did not dissapoint and the japanese/asian/spanish fusion appetizers/ tapas were actually very tasty. I sat at the gorgeous green-house-like feel bar and ordered from the small bites menu. I ordered the wagyu skewers which I def recommend and the tinga-stuffed peppers which were surprisingly good! I enjoyed the relaxed vibe with the view of the city skyline and the Tower of the Americas Structure. The table seating seemed comfy and inviting and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The rooftop bar is located on the 20th floor, next to the rooftop pool inside the Kimpton Santo Hotel, which itself is gorgeous and very trendy. The restrooms next to the elevator were nicely stocked and clean. There's a lot of construction in the surrounding area but don't let that discourage you from trying out this place. Go for the drinks and view; everything else will leave you disappointed. We decided to have an impromptu lunch/early dinner date at Tenfold Rooftop last week and, aside from the view, the drinks, and a LITTLE bit of the service, we were left disappointed. Before I delve too deep, the staff did comp the entire bill (minus cocktails), but we still paid the original bill, giving what was comped to the server as a tip (because it wasn't her fault the food was such a letdown). Tenfold is on the rooftop of the Kimpton Hotel near La Villita. We were able to find public parking, but I believe they offer valet service (and may even validate parking). You enter the building and head towards a bank of elevators where a downstairs host checks you in. Once on the tenth floor, you pass another host station where you're walked into the bar proper. At the time of our arrival, work was being done on a door, and there was no host. The bartender checked us in and seated us. The view is beautiful, overlooking Hemisfair and the Tower of the Americas. We went on a perfect day, though the breeze occasionally pick up our napkins. We were immediately given water and introduced to our server, whom I'll refer to as M. After M took our cocktail order, we decided on the 10x tour, which is a omakase-style flight of some of their menu items. That turned out to be a waste of money and calories. The drinks were superb. Dancing in the Rain and Lost in the Jungle are well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. Definitely order those. M overexplained every dish. We sat for minutes at a time listening to her tell us everything in a dish. The odd thing was that the final dish --a peanut butter dessert --wasn't described to us, even though there was a high risk of patrons having peanut allergies. She was an amazing server with a great personality, but I think she can scale back the explanation considerably. The 10X Tour highlights were the Grilled Octopus, Smoky Chorizo Oysters, and Korean BBQ Wagyu Skewers. The octopus was perfectly tender and grilled with just the right amount of char. The Beef Skewers were tender and had a well-balanced gochujang glaze. The oysters combined with the chorizo were on the verge of being too salty, but the dish as a whole worked together nicely. If you're keeping count, that's only 3/10 of the dishes that were enjoyable on this "tour." The Baja Bass ceviche is actually Basa, according to M. BIG difference in price and quality of fish. That aside, the leche de tigre it was cured in lacked flavor. Most of the dishes we tried lacked proper seasoning; at the very least, salt would've worked wonders. The Tiger Shrimp Aguachile wasn't "cooked" long enough (or with enough acid), so we received it in an inedible state. When I asked the chef if it was made to order and served immediately, he said yes. When I told him it either lacked enough acid to properly cure it or that it needed to cure longer, he said it cures for almost 24 hours. That's not the right answer for seafood. Fish can only stand to cure in acids or marinades for 20 minutes before it becomes too rubbery to be enjoyable. I left it with him and asked for it to be replaced with something else. The Salmon Tataki was good, but it came without the shaved truffle you see in everyone else's pictures. The Mezze Platter was served with English muffins cut to look like pita or naan, but the red pepper hummus was average. The worst thing I've eaten this year was Tenfold's Chicken Tinga Rellenos. They need to remove it from the planet. The "tinga" filling tasted like what I imagine wood putty tastes like. Chalky, flavorless, an assault on the taste buds. Even the server agreed that it should be removed from the menu. We declined to eat the Asador du Chouriso because the "wow factor" flame setup they served it on was for show, not for safe food handling. The sausage's interior was raw. The dessert was just okay. It's not on the menu, but it had a peanut butter flavor. The chips should be replaced with a drizzle of peanut butter because they screwed up the textural experience. So, Tenfold is a bar with a pretty view and abysmal food. Go for pre- or after-dinner drinks. Just don't go to eat good food. read more

You can make reservations ahead of time to secure a table, but depending when you come, there are open table/high top seating as well as bar seating. I had toured this space when they first opened almost a year ago and glad I was able to come back to spend an evening on this rooftop bar. This place has great views, music and service! The lounge seating is intimate and cozy and the overall vibe was upscale. Drinks were good as well. We did have reservations, which is recommended because this place can get very busy! My coworker recommended this bar to me, and I decided to check it out with a friend. This is such a great place to grab a drink with an excellent view! I heard that it's best to make reservations, so we did book one online and requested a view if available. The staff seemed very organized and we were escorted upstairs from the hotel lobby and then checked in with the host upstairs. We were seated at a table with a great view near the heating lamps. The ambiance is great and the menu includes some unique drinks. I ordered "dancing in the rain" which was basically their take on a Moscow mule. I enjoyed the drink and found it was very balanced. The downside of this spot, like most downtown, would be the parking situation. There is a lot next door and I paid about $15 for 2 hours which isn't too bad. Gorgeous setting at the kimpton hotel. Have not heard of this brand but looks new and super modern. Stopped by after conference stuff was done and check in by the elevators where someone checks if you have a reservation. We didn't but he said it was quiet so let us go upstairs. The setting is gorgeous and open air but the heaters keep it nice at toasty. Had a lovely view of the city and enjoyed our drinks. Service was solicitous and lovely. Overall maybe my favorite dining or drinking out experience this trip. I might need to go back tomorrow night. Go here to grab drinks before dinner and get away from the tourist kitsch and enjoy a rooftop oasis. read more

I wanted to like this place enough to give it 5 stars. Went on a Friday night with a group of friends. The cocktails were just okay. They were a bit watered down. Tried one of their mezcal cocktails. The ingredients sounded interesting but whoever made it put too much ice and watered it down. The music is loud, think lounge music. My sister, mom, and I came for my sister's 31st birthday. We made a reservation for around 7pm. We opted to do the 10 course tasting menu for $65/person and each ordered a cocktail. The ambiance was nice and seemed like many people were there for the cocktails/rooftop ambiance. The cocktails were great, however the food didn't do much for us and nothing was really warm. My mom and I split the bill which was $261.97, our split checks were $130.47. We each paid and tipped $25 each. However, for some reason they charged my mom's card the correct amount. Yet they charged me $314.36. I called to speak with the manager Mercedes but she was in a meeting, so I left my information and they gave me her email. I emailed her and never heard back. I also tried calling a few times to get in contact with her and she was always busy. Then one day they called back to tell me she would call me back, but never did. I ended up having to dispute with my bank because I never heard back. Still haven't gotten a response. This was very odd and I've never had this happen, ever. Just be weary and check your statements to ensure you're being properly charged. Will not be coming back to this establishment. read more

Glad I got to visit this roof top lounge, although, It was pretty hot at 7pm! I was trying the escape the sunshine as it directly hit my back. It was loud so it's hard to hear my friends. Our waitress was pretty good at giving recommendations. Both my friends took the 10x tour but I ordered ala carte as I wouldn't want to eat raw seafood or red meat. I ordered the grilled octopus and lobster crispy rice and they both were good! I tried the chicken relleno from the 10x food menu and that was great too! Their avocado hummus was interesting. Come for the views and I guess a cocktail too. Came on a Saturday night before sunset. Valet was chaotic and backed up so I opted to park in a lot across the street, it was cheaper at least. Ordered a round of lemon drop martinis and one had to be remade due to them using an obviously dirty glass. Cocktails are $20 tapas are $20. Do not come here for the food. My suggestion is to eat before you come, maybe even next-door at Nonna or Silo. We did order food however it was not very good and the portions were very small. The view is fantastic. I can just imagine how good the New Year's Eve fireworks look from here and the sunset was lovely. I would definitely return for the views. I will eat elsewhere before I got here. This was a fun place. It's open on 3 sides allowing for views of the city in multiple directions. I was worried I'd get cold but it was quite pleasant that evening. Our waitress was on it. She knew everything on the menu extremely well, could answer all our questions and made great recommendations. The drinks were hand crafted but are also a bit pricy, about $16-20 per drink. We tried quite a few of the different tapas. They were all amazing, ingredients fresh. My one annoyance was that on the ceviche tapas, the chips are extra. Everything is already pretty pricey, it's seems very silly to charge extra for such a little thing. They do validate for parking so that was at least a nice surprise. As of this review, there was quite a bit of construction in the area so our GPS took us into an area that was closed, give yourself a little extra time when heading down there. Tenfold Rooftop is the newest rooftop bar in the downtown area. This restaurant bar is located at the top of the new Kimpton Santo Hotel (across from Hemisfair park). Before visiting please keep in mind that there is still a lot of construction going on in this area, so accessing the hotel can be a little tricky and ride share is probably the way to go. When you arrive to the hotel, there is a hostess outside of one of the elevators. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, since they can get pretty busy (specially around sunset time). Tenfold has some amazing views of the downtown area and is definitely a nice place to come for a date night or to bring people from out of town. Their food menu is more "tapas" style, so I don't recommend coming here hungry. They have a very unique food menu and everything we tried was delicious. Their cocktail menu was not my favorite, but keep in mind that they have a full bar and can make whatever you want. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back! read more

I came here for a fiends birthday with a group of 4, we had made the reservation same day and there was plenty of room.The rooftop had an amazing view and vibe. It was completely outside no indoor seating so it got a little warm. The drinks were crafted beautifully strong but flavorful. I ended up doing the 10x tour since other reviews said menu items were small portions for the price. Where the 10x tour was more of a sampler of 10 menu items selected by the chef which got you close to trying everything. In the photos it was portioned for 2 people because my friend and I each got the tour. My other 2 friends ordered dishes off the menu instead of doing the tour and I can confirm the portions are small so I'm thankful I did the tour you got more for your money. I took a star off for the service. I feel like our waiter wasn't very attentive. After our initial drink order it took her a very long time to come around to refill our waters and take another drink order. We were there for over 2 hrs and only got to order 2 drinks. What a great ambience!! Waitress were amazing. It's 12-26-2025!and 85 degrees...I walked up to the bartender (bun and glasses) and asked if he or someone could turn on the fans...he never looked up but said they're broke. Our wonderful waitress offered to turn on fans when she saw us fanning ourselves. I walked over to let him know the fans were actually working and he cursed me under his breath...I sat and watched him curse us. I took my wife here for a date night to try new things. We Valet parked as there is construction going on in front of the hotel. The valet was very quick and professional. We were escorted to the elevators to get to the top floor of the hotel where Tenfold is. They have you checkin for your reservation or as a walk-in on the first floor. And they notify the hostess at the top of your arrival. I once you exit the elevator at the top you are greeted and seated. Upon entry into the main area the view is the first thing you see. The area is completely covered with a roof and open sides for the breeze to come through. There are table tops, the bar seating, and sitting areas all around the place. Good for a group or a date. We sat near the edge in a table top as we are only 2. We were promptly greeted by the waitress with menus and water. She took our drink order (2 woodford old fashioneds). We also ordered small bites (chille relleno, samosas, and gyoza. We received our drinks within 5-10 minutes and they started bringing our food out 1 item at a time. The drinks were very good and had perfect balance of ingredients ( I like mine stronger though). The food was also great. Very good flavor especially the gyoza. Only negative is the green sauce that accompanies the samosas really adds no taste or value. It actually takes away from the flavor of the samosas. PSA: this is not a restaurant so please eat first. The serving portions of food is very small but tasty. The drinks are great but not heavy pours by any means. Lots of construction downstairs, so valet or be prepared to walk at least a block or two . Wow, what a view! There are lots of options for seating ... high tops, bar stools, loungers, and more. Service was attentive and helpful. The drinks are themed with agave as the main alcohol in all. Very cute presentations. We had the blue crab and the waygu goyza "sharables." Both were tasty and loved the dippy sauce for the blue crab. I would say if you came for a happy hour hoping for appetizers, be prepped they are small. I went with a four just for logistics. Getting up the elevator requires staff to badge you into the elevator and press 10. I understand closing off guest floors to key card access, but a roof top bar open to the public was inconvenient. Also, you cannot pay for valet parking at the valet station or the bar. You pay at the hotel front desk, and there is no 2 hour free validation. Going through the many new bar/small eateries here in SA I've come across very few with a good vibe! This place exceeded our expectations with the view. It was absolutely beautiful. The service was a bit slow, but that's to be expected with a packed house. I will however say although the portions were good bite sized, they however did not taste seasoned enough. We ordered 3 dishes to give the menu a try: Lobster crispy rice 3/5 . Wagyu Gyoza 3/5. Chicken Tinga Rellenos 2/5. Also ordered 2 drinks: all in which had a sweet Smokey flavor: Beneath the cloud bank 4/5 , last known oasis 3/5. From the moment I walked in, the hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming--setting the tone for an exceptional evening. The interior is stunning, like a perfect blend of Long Beach cool and New York sophistication. Think modern elegance with a laid-back vibe. The decor is thoughtfully curated--sleek, stylish, and effortlessly inviting. The drinks? On another level. The mixologists here are clearly some of the best in town. I went for the Old Fashioned (a true test of any bar's skill), and it was nothing short of incredible--smooth, balanced, and crafted to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the service. It's everything you could want from a high-end lounge: attentive without being overbearing, polished yet friendly. I even had the pleasure of meeting Karen, the Director of Sales and Marketing, in the elevator. She was kind, welcoming, and radiated the same great energy that makes Tenfold feel special. Although I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, if it's anything like the drinks and service, I have no doubt it's top-notch. My three friends and I checked out Tenfold Rooftop on Saturday November 23,2024. I learned from the week before that I needed to make a reservation to get into the place. I made a reservation for four people for Saturday 11/23/2024 at 10:30 pm. We showed up a little before 10:30 pm and checked in. They made us wait for twenty plus minutes past the reservation time. We were promised that we would get in after the large group in front of us and that didn't happen. After we got to the rooftop it was just okay. The views were amazing ,but the place was smaller than expected. The service was not up to par in my opinion. The service was a little slow and my friend was told twice that the cocktails he wanted were unavailable. The drinks were not good at all. We all didn't like our drinks. I got the House of the Setting Sun cocktail. It was not a pleasant experience. It wasn't worth the money to me. We were one drink and outta there. We didn't try the food. I can't in good conscience recommend this place as a good rooftop bar. There are better rooftop bars I think are way better. Definitely check out 1 Watson and The Moon's Daughters. Both are excellent rooftop bars with amazing views. I hope that Tenfold gets better,but I will not be back to see for myself. read more
