Double feature review for both the bar and coffeeshop ~ Bar: came on a Friday evening in August and it was veryyy quiet. Was told this is the norm in the summer and they were closing at 9pm (vs usual 11pm) because of it, which seemed fair. The bartender was very friendly and my hot n dirty vodka martini (olive and banana pepper juice) was delicious and well worth the $12 price tag. I cozied up on a leather chair with my book and enjoyed my time there. A few others trickled in but it stayed quiet. The bar stools were also extremely comfy. Coffeeshop: the next morning (Saturday around 10) I came in with my toddler for coffee and food. She was on a mission and there was lots for her to explore. Wish there was a gate or some sort of deterrant between the main area and the kitchen. I had a specialty coffee (chai, toffee syrup, espresso) and while yummy, a bit pricey. The same goes for my lox bagel (jalapeno). I also don't like that everything is served in disposable cups and plates. Go green! Service was okay - not very personable but I guess being busy can do that. If just reviewing the bar, I'd give full marks but the coffeeshop wasn't quite as a home run. This was my second visit to Drip Coffee House during RI Food Fights' Best Iced Coffee competition, and I enjoyed this year's experience much more than last year's. I stopped in later in the day, so it was nice and quiet. The barista was friendly, helpful and worked seamlessly with a coworker while answering my questions. I went with the banana hazelnut iced coffee with milk, which was good and easy to drink. While it wasn't my favorite coffee on the trail, I'd happily order it again. As someone who eats gluten free, I appreciated that they had a few prepackaged donut options available. They weren't homemade, but it's always nice to have something to pair with my coffee. The café itself is spacious with plenty of seating and ample parking, making it a great place to meet up with friends or get some work done. I also know someone who hosts a monthly coffee klatch here, so it's clearly a popular gathering spot. One of these days I'll have to come back and check out the bar, too! read more

Came in for RI Food fights best iced coffee. Admittedly the only times I ever come here are for this once a year since I don't live in the area. Every year I think "I really need to come back for cocktails!" It's super cute and clean inside. The food is reasonably priced. I've been to this spot twice now, very good both times. I tried their specialty matchas, one of them being some sort of strawberry matcha and the latest being the cupcake matcha. Both were really good and I would get again. My dad got a hot caramel latte both times, super yummy. My mom got one of their specialty lattes last time which was good and most recently got an iced caramel latte. The caramel was all stuck at the bottom and took a good amount of stirring before each sip to taste good. I've definitely had better, but this one wasn't bad. The service is fairly quick and they have a lot of seating. Half the place is a bar for the night which I'm interested in trying as well. I will definitely be back for more! read more

We stop in to Drip from time to time. Our last two visits have been a disappointment. Order and pay at the counter straight ahead from the entrance. Drinks and food are left on a counter to the right by a staff member who calls out the item description (iced latte w/blah blah, egg sando w/blah blah and so on). So keep an ear open and an eye on that counter. I ordered their feta & spinach croissant during our most recent visit. They heated it in a pannini press so it was served warm, but the dough wasn't fully cooked. It had a pasty texture. The filling was tasty. The dough was unappealing. I usually order a drip coffee or an Americano. Not sure what is happening here, but this coffee was also not as expected. Espresso is a bit bitter, but this was more burnt than bitter. I took it with me but ended up not drinking it. None of that 'mmm coffee' automatic grab and sip reflex, ya know? We came here on a Sunday afternoon and I'm not gonna lie, we were a bit bummed. I had been here once before and I loved that they had a bar inside this shop. However I was not aware that the bar has completely different hours. You can only get a cocktail on the evenings it is opened on the weekend. I feel like if this is the case, the space should be split into two. We planned our visit specifically on getting our RI food fights coffee and getting a drink too. This was clearly not a possible option. The coffee was good. And the space is very cute. This is a very cute coffee shop by day , that apparently turns into a martini bar by night (at least on the weekends)! We got here late on Sunday morning, and the shelves were slim pickins for muffins, donuts, pastries, bagels, etc, but we knew we were there late! My ice coffee and croissant were very good. My husband said his ice coffee and cinnamon bun was good, but would have been better if heated. He ate it all, so I guess it really didn't matter! We were served right away from the counter, but people were getting food from the back, and they would call out names. We will go back! read more

My first time here and I ordered a blueberry caramel latte. The syrup was very sweet, so next time I would probably try something different but the coffee had a great flavor. Drip offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was nice but there were a lot of fallen leaves from the tree right above the area, so it just needed some love and maintenance. Most customers sat indoors because of this. The indoor space is beautiful, contemporary, modern, and well maintained. It had soft seating with leather couches, wall art, and a fire place. It was very cozy - a good spot to work on your laptop, catch up with a friend, or read a book. The staff were quick and friendly. read more

So many monthly special drink options to choose from, my favorite so far has been the iced banana bread matcha latte. The servers are friendly and work fast to get the orders out. Overall a really solid coffee shop with friendly staff. My only issue was the internet was really spotty, so if you are headed here to work it may not be the best spot. I tried their cookies and cream iced coffee along with their chicken salad sandwich. Both were tasty and I'd order them again. They also had plenty of seating and outlets to use. I come to drip weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. Their coffee is great, they have many flavor options as well as specials. They have a vast menu, both for drinks and food options- anyone can find something they like there! The staff is always so kind, I've never had any issues. it's a pet peeve of mine when independentcoffee places don't make their own syrups for their coffees. Kinda like when you go to an ice cream spot and they don't make their own ice cream. Because they use premade syrups I opted for a protein shake. She told me that the smoothies were made from a fruit concentrate, which I knew I didn't want so I opted for the way protein smoothie. It was extremely liquidy. Another pet peeve of mine. Use frozen bananas, so that your shakes aren't liquidy. They could've also used the second scoop of protein seeing a serving size of protein is two scoops. The employee was super nice and answered all my questions. Was super excited to try this place but I was very disappointed upon coming. Everything was extremely overpriced. The "ham and cheddar panini" was on sliced bread with mayo. Very cheap for an extreme price. The staff was not friendly, I supposed they expect you to tip them 25% when all they did was ring us up. I don't think someone deserves a 25% tip for pressing a button a screen. Then when our drinks were finally made they didn't even call out our names or the drinks. I simply saw a drink that appeared similar to mine and went up and got it. Again I don't think anyone is deserving of a 25% tip when my drink isn't being hand delivered nor was my name called out. The iced tea my boyfriend was filled to the absolute brim with ice. Maybe 3 sips of iced tea was in the cup and it was 6$. For 75% ice and 25% tea. Very disappointed in the place. Staff is unfriendly and petty. Everything is terribly overpriced. My latte was beyond sweet like sweet is an understatement it was pure sugar. Do not recommend this place one bit. I went into Drip Coffee House for the first time this morning with my girlfriend, and it was an incredible experience. There was really good coffee and incredible customer service. This was a unique coffee shop because of how it was a coffee shop/bar hybrid which is something that I am looking to include when I have my own coffee shop one day. The lady was very patient with me as I was deciding what size I wanted as the Medium was 24oz and the Large was 32oz. Because I was getting two different lattes, I decided on the medium. For the inside of the shop, there was a ton of seating room and a lot of space inside of the building. The coffee side of the building was on the left and the bar side which is opened all day long was on the right side of the building. I ordered the Caramel Coconut iced latte and the iced Cookie Dough Chai Latte. The caramel coconut latte with whole milk tasted just like the caramel delight Girl Scout cookie, and it was one of their April specials. The cookie dough iced chai latte was also on their specials list, and was incredibly tasty, and it made my tastebuds happy. The pricing was extremely affordable for the size as both coffees and a snack pack only cost me 16.75$ without the tip being included. I would definitely recommend going here if you are in the Warwick/East Greenwich area. We will definitely be coming back in the summer. read more

This is a newish spot in East Greenwich. I didn't try the food, but the cafe mocha was delicious. It is a cute spot to hang out, with a bar, lots of tables, and a center conversation area with arm chairs and a coffee table. The cute coffee house vibe is diminished by the large-screen TV above the bar. Is it a coffee house or a sports bar? Honestly this place could be great! The location and environment inside is great but every time I try to give it another chance I'm disappointed. Coffee is always good and food is mediocre but the main issue is service. Every single time I order a simple coffee and bagel order, it takes 20-25 mins for the food to come out even at non peak times. Went in recently to enjoy an espresso martini with my husband and was told the bar doesn't open until 4:30 which was fine. After waiting until 4:45 we asked where the bartender was and we were told they were still not in yet and they were underaged and couldn't serve us. Extremely disappointing so we left. Again, we would love for this to be a place we can come hang out and chill because the environment is great, but the service makes it unbearable. read more

I really like the inside of this place. The decor, bar, comfy brown leather chairs, leather couch, white cushioned metal chairs, and 3 TVs with the Olympics on right now. It's homey and makes you want to stay. They serve specialty coffee, shakes, breakfast, sandwiches, garden salads , soup and alcohol at the bar. I got a large ice churro latte which was delicious. The large is more like a medium but quite good. It's my second visit here. The service today was not quite as good. There were two girls working, one customer at the bar, and one checking out. So 2:45 is a nice quiet time. It was 3 minutes on my watch before the girl making a coffee came over to ask if I was being waited on. Not her fault because the other girl ignored me the whole time. (But ' other girl' did have time to sip her drink and check her phone.) I felt bad for the other hard working girl. Thus only 4 stars due to customer service. Excited to see a new coffee house open on route 2 in East Greenwich- Drip Coffee. As I learned in culinary school "Presentation is Everything!" The place looks fantastic from the outside and has a great setup on the inside with a small bar for eating along with tables. Opening Day (February 7th, 2022) the staff was friendly but seemed quiet and confused, that is expected. The displays of fresh baked muffins, cookies, bagels, donuts, etc... was very appealing. I ordered a hot latte and a bagel, I had high hopes for the latte but honestly it was not that good. The bagel was decent but slightly dry, understand it was Opening Day so it will take time to get everything running smooth. The coffee is really good. The blueberry scone I had, though, was dry and not very tasty. I wish they would have at least offered to heat it, as well. The main reason, though, that I do not think I will return, is the noise component. There were only maybe 8-10 people in the shop, but it was so noisy, I could not hear the people I was sitting with! Then, every time they ran some machine, it was so loud, the noise was actually penetrating! Not a pleasant experience, at all. They really need to do something about the loudness of machines and talking! read more
