Food/Drinks: I'm a sucker for trying new coffee spots, and this location has been pretty popular on social media, so I decided to give it a go. I went with one of their most popular signature drinks, the tres leches iced latte. It was very sweet and tasty, but the sweetness was a bit overwhelming. My husband got the flan iced latte, and it was the same experience for him. The quality of the coffee itself seemed fairly good but just a bit sweet per personal preference. I didn't get the chance to try their food. That being said, if you have a sweet tooth, this is a perfect spot to try. I'm planning to come back to try their food and a regular latte to really get a taste of what they offer. Location: This location is on the main street and is pretty artsy. It's a perfect spot for a coffee run or to meet up with friends. They have a really cool painting and overall aesthetic, and even a swing, which adds to the interior design and makes it cozy and unique. There is also parking in the back of the building. If that is full, street parking is available and easy to access. Service: The service was quick and efficient. We spoke to the barista who was making our coffees, and they took our order and prepared our drinks in a timely manner. I will be coming back because I feel like I need to try the food and more latte options!

Good coffee spot in Cranston with a nice selection, including cafecito and cortadito. The menu also has some interesting food options. The cortadito was really good. I ordered Ava's arepa with chicken and avocado--it was tasty, though I was expecting a bit more spice. Overall, it was a very good experience and definitely worth a visit.

I have visited Cafe Ava several times - usually early in the morning because it gets super packed. Super packed for a good reason! Their lattes are really good. I really like their Coquito, Tres Leches, & Horchata lattes - and they also have seasonal lattes as well. I usually also grab a sandwich or bakery item when I'm here as well. I like the El Ranchero - scrambled egg, chorizo, diced tomatoes, green onions, mozzerella cheese for a savory bite or their carrot cake for a sweet treat. There is a good amount of seating - I like to sit by the windows with my friends. Staff is very friendly. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in RI!

I came back to Cafe Ava to try out their fall specials drinks. One item was the Pumpkin Pie Matcha Latte. I love pumpkin pie and is my favorite type of pie and I love matcha so I thought this drink would be perfect and I had to try it right away. On a Wednesday morning around 8am, I came in and it wasn't too busy. Unfortunately, the drink wasn't as good as I hoped for. It was definitely interesting, but I do not think this combination works. I preferred if it was just a pumpkin pie latte and a matcha latte separately. I'll definitely give them credit for trying new drinks. I'll come back for their regular drinks.

We randomly stumbled upon Cafe Ava while running errands in Cranston and we are so glad we did!! We've been here at least 5 times in the past two months and drinks are consistently top notch!! I go between the Cajeta Latte, Tres Leches Latte and the Pistachio Latte. I do have to mention that I have a sweet tooth and even then some of the drinks are a bit too sweet for me. The Pistachio Latte seems to be the most moderately sweet coffee beverage. It has a strong coffee flavor, mild pistachio undertone and real pistachios as a garnish. I did try something new which was the ham and cheese empanada, but wasn't a fan of it. My wife on the other hand thought it was delish. I just have to mention that I'm not really a big ham and cheese type of guy. The café is beautifully decorated and feels warm as well as inviting. This place can get really packed, so choose your time of arrival wisely. Saturday mornings seem to be some of the busiest time to show up. The staff were really nice and knowledgeable. I do enjoy working in coffee shops, but this spot seems a bit too distracting for me to work. Overall a great café and I'll be back for sure! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Super friendly barista. Awesome seasonal latte--I had the cookie butter tres leches. I had the OG breakfast sandwich & added pernil which was sooo tender and flavorful. Can't wait to come back.

I love this spot so much. It probably has to be the prettiest coffee shop in RI. I love the vibrant colors, the art and the overall ambiance. Their lattes are super unique and totally worth the drive. Any of the baked goods I've had have been next level as well. You must try them! The service here is always great. Everton is super personable and helpful. You might have to wait a few minutes, but it's because they put so much effort into all of their stuff. Their drinks have a lot of special thing involved. You will love this coffee shop!

Food: We stumbled upon this cafe randomly on a drive back home since I didn't have my coffee for the day yet. All I can say is wow!!!! This became my new fav coffee spot! We ordered the tres leches iced coffee and the cajeta iced coffee and BOTH were amazing! Idk if it was also bc we had great baristas but I'm sold! So glad we both ordered a large too because I was super sad when it ran low lol We will be returning! Service: The staff was so friendly and personable. Helped us decide on our drinks since we were so indecisive. Ambiance: Great natural lighting, there's seats and tables available and nice decor! Very Instagram-able. There's also decent street parking.

First time here with my friends - this place is phenomenal. From the atmosphere, to the service and food - 10 out of 10. I highly recommend Ava's Arepa, p.s. - get the extra sauce! We will be back for sure!

Ok, I've been dying to find a place just like this in Rhode Island. They have so many tasty options and I went with the flan matcha- it's a MUST try. Really friendly service as well!

This was my second time to Cafe Ava and the food did not disappoint. The place is small put quaint. Very inviting while a beautiful layout with lovely decor and Spanish music playing in the background. They have so many drink options making it hard to decide on just one. They make small sandwiches and deserts. I had a slice of banana bread that was so delicious and fluffy. The latte was so freaking good. I would definitely get these too options next time. The ordering was quick and my drink was made reasonably quick. They do offer gift cards and you can order ahead. I believe they also have a delivery option thru DoorDash. If I had to give a draw back is even though the workers were young and sweet, I could do without the little cussing they were having while talking to each other not in an arguing kind of way. Besides that great experience

Cafe Ava has found a special place in my heart!! Such a cute spot, staff were warm and welcoming and the decor is fun! I got the pumpkin tres leche latte and the OG sandwich both were superb, like I'll be dreaming about it good! Do yourself a favor and seek this spot out I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Great seasonal drinks! The staff although busy are always kind and patient when you order, definitely makes the whole vibe and experience here welcoming and to top it off their cubanos are amazing.

The inside is small with only a few tables and some counter seating, but I really like the design choices they made. The plants mounted to the wall and natural light are nice. The baristas are super friendly as well. For food and drinks, I ordered the iced black sesame hojicha latte and I added ube cold foam, and the sausage egg and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich. I really enjoy the drinks here. The hojicha latte was quite tasty, not too sweet, and the nuttiness of the sesame came through. I have also ordered a hot latte on my first visit, which enjoyed a lot. The milk was steamed nicely and the espresso was smooth. Something to note, is that there are no ceramic mugs here, which is a bummer. The big thing for me that was a disappointment was the breakfast sandwich. It really felt and tasted like a frozen sandwich that was popped in the microwave. The biscuit was soft and limp, the sausage was that processed patty, and the egg was a premade flat circle. Overall, I think the drinks and lattes are really good and I would totally stop in for a pick me up any time, but definitely skip the food.

It's a local cafe located in a plaza with office buildings. Parkings are available at the plaza. Inside is like a typical cafe with woodsy wall panels, decorations and a counter to place the order. They have baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, smoothies and acai bowls. I got the french connection sandwich, iced coffee with maple flavor and hazelnut shot, and chocolate chip banana bread. My partner got acai bowls, iced coffee and peach pop tart. The iced coffee was bit strong on flavorings so i mixed in some milk( which you have to ask the staff because they don't have it available self service) and it made it milder which helped. The french connection sandwich came with cheese, egg, ham and i think maple syrup with croissant buns. It was sweet savory and tasty. Chocolate chip banana bread was sweet and moist. My partner enjoyed the acai bowls and the coffee. The pop tart was ok. Its was interesting but bit dry. Service was good and fast but was a bit chaotic because it was busy. Overall the place was good. I liked their sandwich other stuff was ok. Price was reasonable. A solid place for a quick stop for sandwich and a coffee.

There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.

Even after she said 'OK' and went over to the register to ring it all in, we had to repeat the order, again. The Americano coffee was not made correctly. It literally tasted like dirty water. Definitely did not use the appropriate amount of espresso in this drink. The Mocha was not blended correctly and was grainy with a lot of sediment at the bottom of the cup. I was unable to finish drinking that. The friends we met up with mentioned they are surprised how many tables were open on a Saturday. In the past there was 'always a line' of people ordering and waiting for a table. During our visit there were several empty tables. The pastry were very tasty though, so that was nice.
