Stopped into North Koffee before heading home. I needed a little pick me up. The staff are so kind. Every time I am here I am just taken aback at how genuine the staff are. I had an iced coffee with non dairy milk and syrup. My kind of people... no up charge for non dairy milk. They have tons of dairy free food options too. I had the green monster bagel and they subbed the cashew spread for the cream cheese. So grateful for places that don't nickel and dime for allergies! Plus it's delicious! They are making chocolate chip cookies while I was eating and it smelled soooooo good. read more

There are lots of positive reviews and in our little outing today, we were looking for coffee on our drive south of Rhode Island~ First of all, small is already big, and a large is LARGE. Think, typical Rhode Island size coffee sizes~ there was plenty of customers waiting but the line went by quickly~ it's a small shop with limited seating, but most came, ordered, and left. They have some options for toasts but we were there for the coffee~ its main menu item and specialty is coffee. There were so many options, and it was hard to decide what I wanted. I ordered the Nutella latte and my partner got the mocha latte. He was shocked by the size but well worth it if you need the energy~ I tried both, and they were delicious. Not too sweet, a perfect balance, and has different milk options including oat, whole, almond, and others. I customized it with oat milk~ everything can be viewed behind the counter, and it appeared clean and the staff worked efficiently. This spot is very far from me, but I will definitely spot by when I drive by this far out again. Definitely need to try other options. read more

Rating: 4.5 Came to stop by for the coffee since i heard that they are well known in the area for their iced coffee. It's a local coffee shop specializing in multiple blends of different coffees. It's a small coffee shop with few seatings and a counter where you order. You can see the buckets of coffee beans in the back and they also offer some bags of roasted coffee for purchase. We got iced mocha and their special Nutella latte. They were both pretty good. I did get the large but their large is very large. I would stick to small next time. It was iced so the syrup/chocolate needed to be mixed but it was not that bad. Large was so large that mixing was a bit more work. Service was good and quick. We got our order with in few minutes. Overall it's a good coffee place and would return to try other options next time and order small. read more

NoKo is one of my absolute favorite spots. A friend introduced me about six months ago, and I've been hooked ever since. Every time we walk in, we're greeted by awesome seasonal decor and warmly welcomed by everyone who works here. We always leave with delicious coffee and treats. I love this coffee shop, it's one of my top 2 places to go in town! Their chai and dirty chai are good options. Really, anything you order from here is good. The first time I came here was with my friend. She was showing me around town and we have received amazing service. Alexa, May, and Sarah helped us today and they were all so lovely. They were friendly and helpful and made us a lovely drink. We got the shark bite monthly special and it was amazing. The shop is adorable inside but the outside shines. It's is so cozy and bright and adorable. Their employee of the month is a dog. He only works M-F because after winning this honor month after month, he deserves weekends off. They have a large menu and lots of monthly specials. It def has something for everyone. I love coming here. It's a wonderful coffee shop whether on the go or looking to hangout. read more

Got the half day sandwich- tasty but the chef definitely skimped on the spread and ingredients Barely tasted the prosciutto or avocado- seems like it's made differently every time. Make sure they toast the bread first for the extra crunch- it's served as an open face so you have to request it as a sandwich if you want it that way read more

I'm obsessed! I recently moved to the area and am basically trying out every coffee shop in the area. North Koffee is headed to the top of the list. I love that they roast their own coffee, I'm not a crazy coffee connoisseur, but I do know it tastes really good. The place isn't huge but they have a few tables inside and a lovely setup outside. I love all the flowers on their "lawn." Just a warning that the wifi does not work well out there, so if you are going there to work, you are better off inside. I think my favorite item so far was a cappuccino for here that they put in a great mug. I also love the Nutella toast. They use fresh sourdough, you can order a half which is one peice or a while is two slices of toast. The baristas are all super friendly and they definitely seem to know all the regulars. I also love their giant dog that wanders around and occasionally comes up to you to get pets. He's adorable! read more

I came in just for an iced coffee and was pleasantly surprised at how good that coffee tasted! To be honest, based on the strip mall location I wasn't expecting much - but I was wrong. The staff were friendly, the coffee had a good rich flavor, there were grab and go breakfast items in a counter near the door (instant oatmeal, gluten-free granola bars, protein bars), delicious fresh cookies in apothecary jars at the order counter that I simply had to add to my coffee order since they looked so nice, and some kitchen space for sandwiches (I didn't look to closely at that menu though since this was kind of a quick pit stop). There's indoor seating as well as a spool table and rocking chairs for sitting outside. Those looked inviting! The restroom was clean and well-maintained too. I'll be back again when I have more time to linger over a refreshing cup of coffee. Four stars for now since I know I've check back to confirm the first impression. read more

Hidden gem. Extremely friendly service. I ordered the French toast latte and it was SO GOOD. Such a quality espresso pour with great flavor. They even shaved FRESH nutmeg into my latte. So good. This will be the new go to spot. They have a lot of flavor options including sugar free organic flavors. Grab and go food is also great (soft fresh bagels and pastries). read more

One of my all time, favorite spots for a delicious tasting brew. I wasn't ever a big coffee drinker, after only having places like Dunkin, but North Koffee made me realize I was missing out on great tasting, AMAZING coffee. Personally, I love buying their fresh medium blends to brew at home, but when I visit the store, I like to treat myself to a hot oatmilk latte with a little bit of caramel (also, I highly recommend the cold brew for those hot summer days). Love the outdoor seating in the summer, but the cozy corner surrounded by local art is my personal favorite spot to sit. It's also a plus that the staff are kind, adaptable, and welcoming. A lively and warm coffee shop to stop in, get your caffeine pick-me-up, and depending on the season, either warm your toes a bit or cool your heels a bit. You can get a variety of coffee drinks (we had Americanos) and roasted beans (either whole or ground on the spot). You can grab-and-go or you can linger upon the generous chairs and sip your brew in comfort. Whatever you do, you'll find the staff and proprietress polite and attentive and great fun to chat with. North Koffee took over the same space as the previous and sadly departed Updike's Newtowne Coffee (God rest his soul), but we are glad to see that the successors have continued the quality of the brews and beans, and made it into an even more welcoming cafe. read more

Came to this shop with high expectations given the artisanal roasting and great reviews. Unfortunately despite the wonderful, kind and friendly staff the coffee was not great. The black medium roast coffee tasted stale and chemical aftertaste. My wife decided to go for a latte drink which she elected for a small. The 16 oz cup was a shock but understandable once we tasted how sweet it was. The sub par coffee seemed to be masked by oversweetness and milk similar to dunkin donuts. Unfortunately this was a miss for us. Some folks who prefer more sweetened beverages and care less about the coffee quality and taste may enjoy this but for the coffee connoisseurs I would not recommend. read more

We had an unexpected stop In town and needed a caffeine fix. The coffee vibe was real. They have a delightfully curated coffee shop. A cute dog is the welcome committee. When we moved to North Kingstown I was looking for my "go to" spot and boy did we find it! The staff has been amazing! Always welcoming and prompt. They are always so kind to my daughter. Letting her sweep, clean up and treating her as a budding "barista in training." My daughter always says this will be her "first job"! The coffee is always fresh, hot with plenty of options. My favorite beverage is the "May Day". A delightful blend of delicious hot chocolate and a shot of espresso. Perfect for a chilly day. As for food, don't skip on that avocado toast! Local artisan bread toasted with freshly mashed avocados and everything seasoning! I think my daughter could eat that every day! North Koffee also runs some great local events. Art displays, candy sales, community outreach anti bullying programs etc. i appreciate the footprint they have made in our community and would recommend them to anyone. read more

The coffee here is great, but today I got a bagel with cream cheese. I guess they don't have a 'traditional' toaster of any kind, even industrial, I'm not sure what their oven-type situation is, but my bagel came out semi-warm, but not really toasted at all, making it kinda chewy and not very satisfying. I'm sure everything else is delicious, but if I want a bagel, I will go elsewhere. read more

A "regular" customer since they opened, (and a regular coffee shop go-er when I travel), I can honestly say this is world-class coffee. I love the variety, and can order a black coffee with rich flavor, or ask the baristas to fancy it up with so many options - truly something for everyone. Woman-owned, family run, community-minded - they are always keeping it fresh with beans from around the world, fresh-roasted in house, and a number of seasonal food options that compliment the coffee so deliciously. I love to visit NoKo where I am always greeted with a smile. I enjoy the seasonal specials and treats. They display local artwork and artisan treats. their pastry's are from South County Bakery- yummy! Last winter when I wasn't feeling so great- one of the baristas made a special hot tea drink for me. Loose tea leaves, honey and more.. not every coffee shop would do this! I would highly recommend North Koffee- NOKO! read more

What an amazing gem that you wouldn't think stopping off for. That is the last coffee to miss. The people, the atmosphere and the coffee is out of this world. The roasting machine has been taking care of for decades. The warmth that everyone gives the second you walk in to the time you sip your coffee is transcending. Definitely stop and say hi. I love North Koffee, everything from their friendly staff to delicious avocado toast! I go at least once a week and enjoy an iced tea or a chai tea. My husband loves their coffee and I often bring him beans home. I sometimes bring my laptop to work there, hang out in their nice garden area or just chat with the owners. I can't say enough good things! They catered my wedding as well and were so easy to work with. Everyone loved their coffee and it kept people dancing all night long! read more

Went for the 3rd annual Grand Opening. Sat in the rocking chairs out front with my daughter and people watched. Coffee was spot on as ordered and the croissant and scones we ordered were delicious. It is the perfect morning spot if you are looking for a relaxing vibe and light bites. read more

I work in the Warwick/South County area and I cannot believe I've never been here before! Visited for the first time because of RI Food Fights Summer Coffee Celebration and it was one of my favorite cups I tried. I am dairy-free, and their homemade Oat milk was a big hit in my book. I came here for the first time this July because of the RI Food Fights "ICED COFFEE Summer Celebration". My wife and I visited all 54 locations in the competition, and this was our favorite in South County. We visited them within an hour of them closing, and the coffee still tasted fresh! They earned those titles for good reason. Their food is locally sourced and so fresh! All of their sandwiches are phenomenal, especially their grinder! Our teapot kept spilling everywhere though. The way it was designed, the tea kept dripping down the side and got tea all on the table. It was good tea however! Then the snacks came out on 3 tiered pedestal. You're supposed to work your way up starting on the bottom with the mini sandwiches which included cucumber dill, strawberry cream, chicken salad, and pink peppercorn salami. I'm not a fan of cucumbers and dill but everything else was super yummy, I was pleasantly surprised! The next tier are scones which included cranberry orange and cheddar chive. They also have sweet cream and strawberry jam to pair with the scones if you'd like. Both were delicious again! Then the last tier is dessert and is supposed to be paired with the last tea. There were macarons, petit fours, and bonbons. All really yummy and pleasantly surprised again. My table had 2 people that were vegetarian and gluten free. You are supposed to specify when you reserve a spot of any dietary accommodations. The woman who made our reservation did not know this and asked while we were there. There wasn't a lot they could do on such short notice but they tried to accommodate and made some veggie and gluten free options. It wasn't necessary but very much appreciated! This place has made me want to try other tea places around RI. It was such a fun experience that I want to continue it!

They make their own syrups and truly keep things original. For food I'll go with a bagel or one of their toasts on high fiber bread. I like that both the bagels and bread are from other Rhode Island small businesses. While the space is small the vibes are strong. It really feels like a community there. I did a Google search and saw that The Coffee Guy was close to me and that they had a variety of beans that they roast in house. I stopped in to the shop and walked up to their display of bags of coffee beans. The owner introduced himself as well as the staff. They were all very friendly and knowlegable. I made my selection and brought it to the counter to purchase. They also serve coffee and pastry but this trip I just wanted the beans. They offered to grind them to whatever courseness I wanted, but I prefer to grind them at home. A pound of coffee averages $20 and they have a frequent buyer program (when you reach purchases of $100, you get a $5 credit. This is tracked so your purchases accumulate). They also deliver to the area on Wednesday's if you order online by their Tuesday Night deadline. I have tried this and my coffee was on my doorstep before 9 that Wednesday. Very convenient. Lastly, the store is not that big with not much room for sitting (I honestly can't remember if they had seating.) However, if you are looking to source your beans or grab a cup of coffee on the go, this is a great option.
