We were thrilled to be able to book Storm-Tite Home Improvement to do the job. It was the best investment we ever made in our home, which we plan to stay in. The pandemic had set us back from our original plans to start the job in Spring of 2020. Lumber kept rising and building costs soared. Frustrated with waiting any longer and fearful that wood rot and bees would continue to plague us aging seniors (along with the Covid pandemic) we went in search of a quality reputable contractor. As seniors, we were fearful of being taken advantage of by con artists who prey on the elderly. We settled on Ed Ladouceur's Storm-Tite company, after many glowing word of mouth reviews, and after visiting a job site in progress nearby. From first contact it was a home run. Ed responds quickly to your calls. He will come to your home and assess your needs and work up an estimate in a timely manner. He's professional, friendly and not a high pressure salesman. He has a whole team of pros to attend to all the needs of your remodeling job. Storm-Tite also has a store front in Warwick where you can peruse different product lines in person, safely. He's got top-notch carpenters, siding installers, electricians, window installers, roofers---everything you need. Storm-Tite uses only the best products. We had a variety of siding styles and brands to choose from. Ed helped us save money and still achieve the curb appeal we desired by combining products when the cost of using the premium product for the entire job climbed out of reach. He shows up everyday on the job site to check in with the crew. I liked that we discussed underlying problems (rot) that were found and corrected them before the house wrap went on. You will not get a one man band. You are hiring an entire competent and friendly team to get the job done quickly. They supply port-a-John so workers are not traipsing through your house, and all debris is trucked away daily. The yard was left spotless. Every detail was worked out from what style window to the doorbells, lighting fixtures and hose bibs. The installation was done off season and workers showed up everyday rain or shine. To Charlie, Richard, Tawn, Steve and rest of the gang---thank you for your integrity, skill, and professionalism! We had complete vinyl (Norandek) siding in "Steel Blue" installed (with full Certenteed insulation wrap), matching blue steel awning over our air conditioner, 3 Harvey replacement windows, 2 custom built storm doors, all new rain gutters with leaf guards and downspouts, Invisiguard beaded soffits and all new vinyl-alloy trim in white. Our house is 34x26. The 10x10 shed was sided to match. Storm-Tite is not cheap, but remember: you get what you pay for. Do it right and you only have to do it ONCE! Worth every penny. Day of the work, the crew came out on exact time and finished the entire job in one day! The end result is outstanding, perfectly scraped and above and beyond expectations, they even did additional sealing that I didn't think of to ensure the perfect barrier. On returning home everything was immaculate, and did a quick temperature test downstairs and in the attic and both were identical (which says something about our old insulation but speaks volumes to the great work that Atlas did). I would NOT recommend this company. I hired them to insulate a former carriage house loft, built in…read more1900, that had original antique beams with that great, old patina. An insulation team was sent out, and they never wrapped the beams! They overblew the insulation all over the beams, therefore creating another job in the process. My contractor quoted $2700 to sand, stain, and fix their blunders. They skimped and gave me $2200. The $500 difference is more expensive for me, than for them. It was their men that messed up, and now I have to fix their error and hire the contractor again to restore their errors, on antique beams! I paid much more than $2200 for their insulation job. I never made them wait for my money. I will say that their salesman who I dealt with, was a good guy. Beyond that...they clearly do not believe in going the extra mile for customer happiness and satisfaction. Very disappointed. Over $500!! Their own guy who came to look at it after even said it was bad! He had to walk away because he couldn't fix the mess.
