Visiting family near Mt. Shasta and staying in a cottage a short walk away decided grab alittle something on my my way out of town, Ordered the Vegan Thai. My only complaint is that I didn't notice much peanut Thai spread. The vegetables were fresh and tasty being more of a vegetarian option. Ordered a coffee as well and was strong and just what I needed to wake up and keep the car between the lines. The breakfast sandwiches here are truly inspired. I could not stop raving about the Awakening sandwich as I was eating it. I especially had low expectations for the bacon crumbles, as I thought it would be a stingy sprinkling of bacon bits, but they were so delicious and definitely tied together the breakfast sandwich along with the homemade chipotle sauce. I added avocado and veggies to balance it all out, and everything was spilling out of the bagel (which looked more like an English muffin or something). I forgot to take a picture of the menu, but the prices on Yelp menu pictures are outdated. The sandwich is $7.70, plus $2.50 for all the works (spinach, tomato, onion) and I forgot how much for the avocado, as of October 2022. This place is the real deal. You need to try it out for yourself! Stopped by on my way down to Los Angeles. I was assisted by a really nice lady at the register and ordered the "BBQ Barbelicious" burger and a side of garlic fries. The inside is clean and they have a very large patio area for customers to sit and enjoy their meal. Coolers with refreshments drape the back wall and they carry niche drinks, like Lemmy Lemonade and Yerbamates. Personally, this was one of the best flavor combinations I've ever had on a burger, I didn't know they could taste like that. The patty was cooked to perfection, their sauces packed the right amount of punch, and you can tell their ingredients are very fresh. I might not make it to the peak of Shasta this time, but at least I got to experience the Yak Shack! Cheers read more

It was our first time at the Yaks Shack location, but have been to their spot off of I-5 many times, and they never fail to impress. The fam and I went to have lunch and Yaks Shack was the place in mind. While we've visited Yacks on the 5, we've never had tried yaks shacks and wanted to take a short drive and I'm sure we did! The food was fantastic as well as the atmosphere. It was a brisk 41 degrees and cloudy. Unfortunately we had no view of Mt Shasta but it was a great vibe nonetheless. If you're planning on driving through I-5 and do yourself a favor and plan on visiting and grabbing yourself a bite. You won't be disappointed, I know we weren't! My daughter and I ordered the Bacon Asiago chicken sandwich, my wife ordered the Cilantro Bomb burger and my son ordered the Make me wanna cry garlic obsession burger with garlic fries. This hamburger joint was highly recommended from California I-5 to Oregon we had arrived and there is no table service it's pretty much walk up place order pick up and surprisingly clean your own table the burgers were pricey $24.95 for just about everything on the menu the fries were over salted and extra crispy over done to my liking.
