Seems I had a very similar experience as some other reviewers.... I dropped my phone the other day, sending cracks across the screen. I brought my phone to DropSmashFix (Edward), and an hour later I had a phone that looked brand new. I was happy and ready to leave, but Edward made sure to walk me through key areas of my phone first to make sure everything was still working just right. Joe Your manager and I only spoke once. You are a terrible business and I will never recommend this place. First of all, 2 phones both had the same problem. Your lack of knowledge of how to properly replace glass screens caused the screens to both lift up and caused one to crack. I went to a better business who thankfully replaced the screen PERFECTLY and I quote "this isn't the first time they've heard about your business doing bad work" Joe I love your attempt to try and make yourselves sound like the good guys. These guys were great. They were able to fix my daughter's smashed screen of her Moto Z. Unfortunately they had to order the part in so it took the loooong eight days until it was done and then we had to take it back in to have the redo it when the screen started lifting a bit, BUT the all the people here are so, so friendly that they for sure deserve the four stars (and not having a part is of course not their fault....nobody had it). And now the phone is like a new again (and we have a better screen protector....Otterbox is the only way to go) read more

I brought my ipad in to get the screen fixed. The night we brought it home the home button broke and there was a line across the screen. Neither was an issue before I brought it in. They refused to fix it and said it would cost $250 to repair the issues that they caused. They should rename the place drop, smash, worse off than before. read more

Went in because part of my lightning cable broke off in the port of my iPad...just the super thin end of the cable. Impossible for me to try to take it out on my own. I stopped in and the woman behind the counter started working on it with no hesitation. She had it fixed in under 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything because there were no new parts used. I've been to the DSF Venice location twice and it is fantastic. They fixed my screen and to do a DFU Hard Reset on my iPhone 7. Plus. After a Motorcylce crash my screen was totally smashed and the pixels were rainbows and bars. Believe it or not with a reset your phone is probably fine. 3 hours after I arrived I had a 100% functioning IPhone and it was under $150. They are miracle workers. My phone was so bad that strangers would tell me to "be careful" before using it. They fixed it in less than an hour and it works perfectly. My camera was broken, but that was something I messed up before taking it there, and he even notified me before I left my phone that they would not be able to confirm all functionality worked until after the screen was fixed. Rafael was great! Initially my bf dropped off his badly cracked iPhone, that they fixed the same day, for a good price, and now it works perfectly. I then had a pressure spot on my iPhone, that caused the screen to make a massive black spot on the screen. They were able to fix and make my iPhone work better then the original. I then took a mac by, that had decided to stop working. They were able to get the computer on, and help me delete data to allow the computer to work. I have been to DropSmashFix several times for my kids' shattered iPhone screens. Each time, thankfully, they were able to replace the screen without much delay. It's not cheap, but it's less than the Apple store, and returning customers get a discount. What really sold me, though, was when I could not get the charger to attach to my iPhone 6 because apparently a tiny piece of metal was jamming the port. The folks at the AT&T store had no clue what was causing the problem and tried to sell me another phone. But Raphael at DropSmashFix immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it for no charge! I thought my phone had saltwater damage because it was turning off and on continuously after getting splashed by a wave. After I took it in, the technician took the phone apart, examined it and concluded nothing was wrong. When I picked the phone up the next day it was working fine again, and the technician didn't charge me for the service. As he was looking at it, he said "Wait a minute, your screen isn't cracked"... at which point we looked on with surprise, as he pulled off the protective screen... and underneath it was a perfect, pristine, and unscratched iPhone screen!!! We were amazed, and didn't even know protective covers did this. NEVER TAKE YOUR ELECTRONIC HERE!!! I took my samsung galaxy s10+ in to get it repaired. (The screens we both shattered front and back) I had to pay in advance $329.88. I took my phone in and left it there, was called to pick it up (as I was on my way to work). As i was walking up the walkway to my job i noticed some scratches, so i called them. They said bring it in we will have a look. I took it in they never took it out of the otter box to view the full amount of scratches, then after vigorous calling repeatedly they tell me they can order a replacement and it looked to be handling damage. So I take it in so they can "reevaluate " it, this time I take it out of the case myself and give it to them. This time I get told that I put those scratches on my just paid for phone, and called the same exact day to notify them about. Then the manager or I think decided to yell at me that those scratches must have been put there by you, those werent there last time. And I said it was in the case when I brought it how r u going to see them in the case. Which I then got told I would be blacklisted from this business... hahahahhaha I will never ever refer anyone to them. And I wrote a report on the bbb. I spent $329.88 on getting my phone "repaired" only to have to go somewhere and have it "repaired" again. I do not have money to waste. read more

TL;DR they took forever to do a terrible job, and refuse to claim responsibility for it. Don't get your phone repaired here. I dropped my iPhone 6s, totally my fault, and came to get the screen fixed. My receipt said it was $99 for the parts, and about $60 for labor. It also took them much longer than expected. When I told my friends how much I paid they were shocked and said they got repairs done for $80 in the valley. A few days later I pull my phone out of my pocket, while it was in a case, hadn't dropped it, etc. yet it had a few long cracks and the screen was peeling off. I brought it in, which they said I needed to pay for new repairs. It didn't matter how it broke. I contested it and they told me to email their support. I sent pictures of the receipt, the damage etc. and they tell me they can give me a discount of down to $90 even after I told them I could just take it somewhere else for $80. The least they should do now is apologize and repair my phone for free since they did a subpar repair, but apparently fixing phones and customer service are beyond their capacity. So now I'm out $160 and back to square 1. Save yourself the trouble. Update: apparently they weren't happy with this review and tried to remedy the situation by going through the exact same process with me again and stating that they can only give me a similar discount. Don't waste your time. Chances are they'll give you a poor repair job and when it can't stand up to normal use, they'll tell you that you "rebroke it" and it's not covered under warranty. read more

So like everyone here I broke my phone and needed a quick fix to repair it being a medic I needed the phone the next day and was desperate so I brought to the nearest guys to get a fix. I deal with rude people on a daily, but the guy behind the counter was ruder than any drunk at 3am. In the 8 years of living in LA I've never been treated so badly but I was desperate for a phone fix and paid my $100. The fix takes 30 sec I recommend getting in before 5pm the counter guy will remind that they close at 6 and will lock the doors if your late. Bottom line the service was horrible the fix was quick and when your desperate this place is worth just expect to be treated like garbage. read more
