this was the 5th life guard to come up and be served even with a line of over 10-15 people waiting for their food.

we have been waiting in line for almost 30 minutes waiting for our food. not only that but all these lifeguard who did not wait in line have all walked up to the window and picked up their food and have all been served first. and they did not have any pizzas and did not post it outside. i just do not understand prioritizing people that they are paying and not the people that have literally paid and waited in the long lines. Also to add that after waiting in line for the 30 minutes and we walked up to ask what was going on we were greeted with being told they lost our order and that they would add it back into the queue but not prioritize it even though it was their fault that lost it. another thing is in their lazy river there are almost no floaties and when you grab a floaty life guard start yelling at you for any little thing you do. we came here expecting a nice day away from the sun and honestly it is just a poop show. it's like the entire park is being ran by 5 year olds.

My kids had a great time here! There is a Lazy River, 3 big water slides, a water park area, and kids pool and a big kid pool! My kids want to go back. They are ages 3 and 11. They do let some food in. The price is good for what they offer. I didn't try their food. The water didn't seem dirty to me and the entire area seemed clean! I will be going back :)

Hiya B.U.M.S.,…read more Another hot day in San Diego means time for the beach, the lake, or staying inside with the AC on full blast. Or, in our case, we chose to wrap up the summer fun with something simple, nice, and close to home--so we headed to The Wave Waterpark in Vista. This local staple has been around since before I can remember, and returning as an adult brings back a wave of nostalgia. We walked right in without any hassle, and the restrooms and showers near the entrance were fairly clean and convenient. We reserved a private cabana, which I highly recommend for a cool, hassle-free home base during a long day in the sun. There are four water slides and all of them are a blast, featuring clear intensity ratings on the signage so you know what you're getting into before heading up. My whole family loved every slide, though surprisingly, my son said his absolute favorite spot was simply splashing around in the main pool. While slide wait times were smooth and efficient, the line to snag a free single tube for the lazy river can get jammed. We rented a double tube and a single tube directly, which saved us a ton of extra waiting. Standard theme park fare like pizza and nachos are available, but the real winning treats to beat the heat were the Dippin' Dots and root beer floats. Overall, it's a fantastic, family-friendly spot to cool down and pack in some quick summer fun. Planning a trip to the wave? We were able to get a decent deal with a grand bear suite, water park passes, kid wolf pass, and breakfast Buffett. They put a bracelet on you and that's all you need to get in room, water park, pay for food, gifts, snacks, etc. Nice not having to carry stuff. Room was clean, bed bug free (I check thoroughly), and the AC works well. We had a toilet that wouldn't flush they sent someone immediately, he used the room ice bucket to pour tap water into the back of tank which was odd to us but whatever we didn't plan on using it (we had a mini cooler with us). The indoor water park is super fun, bring goggles and eye drops because the chlorine is strong. Really strong!!! Lazy creek is the only ride that wasn't the clearest. Especially by the end of the day. Outdoor pool is lovely. Really refreshing. We were there during the week and it wasn't crowded at all. They have fun little kid activities afternoons and evenings. Food was great in the restaurant, pizza place, Buffett, and ice cream place. Free cups of ice water everywhere I asked for one. Mini golf was geared towards young kids(7 and under), adults don't waste your money. The kids enjoyed jungle climbing thing, and the obstacle course in the sky! It's a cashless resort but staff will accept cash tips if your service is exceptional and you feel generous. I'm not sure but I think tips are included with package deal at least they were with ours. The Fireside restaurant was good, however if you have dietary restrictions I wouldn't trust them, the chef came out discussed restriction with us, and when food came out and after asking confirming 3 separate times yes it was gluten free only to have the waiter come back to the table and take it away because it was not gluten free. Lucky for us our friend had only a small bite and knew it wasn't gluten free. They brought out another they assured us was but by that point we didn't trust. The pizza place and breakfast buffet were fabulous and were able to accommodate restriction easily. Arcade super fun ask the workers about deals they were pretty generous and we won a couple of jackpots! Great ticket/prize set up not like chuckechese nightmare! Lazer tag kids had fun. Parking is ridiculously expensive $35 a day self park even if you are staying overnight. Still super good time was had by all, and no one got sick so that's great!
