Hidden gem alert! I'd never heard of this vineyard but some friends brought me today. Beautiful views and superb wines with friendly owners who will walk you through your tasting. I fell in love with their chardonnay. Have you ever described as wine as "fluffy" before? Because I hadn't until today. Lemon meringue all the way in the best way possible. Their albarino was also fantastic.

My friends and I set out to visit this winery and two others on a cold winter day after seeing them as part of a list in The Washingtonian. It was not our first, or even second or third, trip to wineries in Virginia, but all three wineries were new to us. This was our third stop of the day, and the least ~aesthetic~ of them all. It wasn't as cozy and didn't have a lodge or renovated barn feel, and instead we were greeted by a sign warning us that the building didn't have the required exits... The chairs were somewhat uncomfortable, the sun was streaming in right in our eyes, and there was an extremely large, rambunctious party taking up most of the space. There were also little to no food options available, but we had known that in advance and eaten beforehand, so that wasn't a disappointment, but worth noting. On the positive side, I really loved that this winery had several mocktail options for dry January, which my friend who was driving was able to enjoy. I hope they have them year-round! I also, instead of getting a flight (because this was the third stop of the day, after all), ordered a white mulled wine. I had never heard of, let alone had, white mulled one before, so I was very excited to try it--especially as a fan of white wines over reds. It was really good, though with a very strong orange flavor, and perfect for the very chilly day. It also made the whole room smell amazing, instantly greeting us with a delicious scent when we walked in. I would like to go back and try one of their tasting flights, though.

What an exquisite afternoon that I had at the Good Spirit Farm in Loudon County, VA. It's a family owned winery in a beautiful space. Upon arrival I was stunned by the architect of the building and then once you walked in there was so much light entering the room that you immediately felt calm. One of the owners was there to greet us and then there was the option to sit inside or outside on their back patio. Because it was such a lovely day I opted to of course sit outside and immediately felt at peace. My all time favorite wine was their Albariño. I could drink this wine for the rest of my life and probably never get sick of it. It was refreshing and will be great to sip poolside over the summer. I also tried their pretzel bites and loved the sides that came with it ... a jam, a mustard and I forget the last option but I couldn't get enough. I look forward to coming back with family and friends. I wish I lived closer or else I would definitely want to join their wine club. Check it out and support this small family owned winery

This was my first visit to this Winery through a Yelp event. I loved the wine so much. I had to review them separately on their page. This is a family-owned business , where they do everything themselves in-house. They also have a I was able to try four of their wines and ultimately fell in love with the Good Spirit Farm Albariño. The taste itself is just so exquisite and luxurious. I regret not buying a couple bottles before leaving. But with that being said, I do plan on returning here so I can actually enjoy that wine and buy some bottles. They have a cute cottage that accommodates 4 adults and can be booked via Airbnb. Reservations are not required for visiting the winery, unless it is a large group. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed (always a plus for me!). They also have food to purchase. There's plenty of seating available in the rec room, tasting room, as well as outside on the patio. Would I return? Absolutely!

Good Spirit Farm lives up to its name! The spirit, the vibe, the mood was actually more than good, it was awesome! The winery was the venue for my son's reception last Saturday and everything went so well. The space was excellent, several different rooms allowed guests to wander between dancing, food, and mingling. It all flowed so well. The owners and the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating. We have the most beautiful sunset pictures from this picturesque setting! Such a wonderful experience!

Love this place! Appetizers are great to go with great wine. Mike and Luanne are lovely people who provide great service. The Farm has a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains with the wonderful vines in the forefront. They also have a beautiful Airbnb on property.

A fun new winery with beautiful views and a large space to relax and enjoy your time there. They haven't yet been able to put out wines from all the grapes they're growing, so have some selections that are the same grape but not made by them. I had the red flight and really enjoyed all of the options. I'm excited to return when they've been around a bit longer so I can try more!

This past weekend was my first time visiting Good Spirit Farm winery. It was a lovely place with great wine. Equally great was that they were able to accommodate our group of 9. The vineyard features Beautiful Mountain View's, rustic interior and great wine flights. I went with the white flight and really enjoyed them (the rosé was my least favorite). Luanne and her husband, Mike were so welcoming. Luanne told us about the wines and took her time to answer our questions. There is a spacious deck with seating (table umbrellas included) or indoor seating if the weather isn't in your favor. Overall, we had a wonderful time & look forward to returning. Thank you so much!

An Unforgettable 50th Birthday Celebration at Bluemont Winery!…read more I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Bluemont Winery! I recently celebrated my 50th birthday there, and Staci Collins and her incredible events team went above and beyond to make the occasion truly special. From beginning to end, Staci and her team were warm, kind, attentive, and incredibly professional. Their hospitality was exceptional. They didn't simply host an event--they made me and my guests feel genuinely welcomed, celebrated, and cared for. Every detail and thoughtful gesture helped make this milestone birthday one I will always remember. A very special thank you to the chef as well! The braised ribs were absolutely outstanding--so flavorful and incredibly tender that you could literally cut them with a fork. My guests and I are still talking about how delicious the food was! The beautiful setting, wonderful food, and exceptional service were all impressive, but it was the people who truly made the experience memorable. Staci, her events team, the chef, and the entire crew helped turn my 50th birthday into such a beautiful celebration. Thank you, Staci Collins and the entire Bluemont Winery team, for your kindness, professionalism, hospitality, and for going out of your way to make both me and my guests feel so special. You helped create memories that I will treasure for years to come. Five stars simply aren't enough!

Northern Virginia has a lot of winery options, but Bluemont offers a few things that make it special. First of all, it's huge - tons of indoor and outdoor seating on two levels. They take reservations. We made for one for noon on Saturday. We were seated upstairs/indoors but eventually moved to their upstairs deck (we were there for hours and wanted a change of scenery). Their views are incredible. You can see the Blue Ridge Mountains from practically anywhere on the property! I hadn't seen my friends in months, so we stayed for almost five hours. We started with their white wine flight, and then we had a few bottles, too. We also ate (beef empanadas, a flatbread, and some black bean hummus). We enjoyed most of the wines (between the flights and bottles, I think we tried 6 whites and 1 rose), and the food was pretty good, too. The service was great - Lily and Rose were our servers (there was a shift switch, since we were there for almost 5 hours) and they were wonderful. They were a little busy downstairs when we arrived, but it's such a large space that there was plenty of seating for more. (It seems to be a spot on wine tours, because there were a few buses when we arrived.) I'm not sure if you really need a reservation, but I'm glad we had one since our plan was to eat lunch at the winery. We had a great time at the winery. But the highlight of Bluemont Vineyard is the property itself - the views, the space, and outdoor dining!

There is plenty of parking and many areas to sit down. Tip - call ahead and reserve an outdoor seat in the shade as it can get very hot up there and many of the tables do not have umbrellas. If a manager is a reason this - I think it would be very useful to add additional umbrellas to the lower decks so that patrons will stay longer. It just gets way too hot sitting by an uncovered table. It's "self service" and you order at the counter and pick up your food. They have many options for beers. I think the only non- alcoholic option was cokes. We ordered the cheese pizza which was fine. I mean you don't really come here for the food- it's more about the view , vibe and drinks. Although they did have a great food truck the day we went that sold smash burgers and fries which was really nice. The bathrooms are clean - although one of the soap dispensers and taps were not working. Also- they ran out of paper towels to dry your hands. I think it was just very busy when we went. I did appreciate that they had a stool in the bathrooms for younger kids - which is very helpful. I did see many patrons brought their dogs which is quite nice that you can enjoy some drinks and food with your furry friends. My kids just loved it there. They could run around on the grass and roll down the hills. Like I said - it's just such a great vibe. They also had a band playing which was really nice. I also noticed a little craft market / vintage market next to the restaurant as well. If you are in the area and want some grown up drinks and a vibe - go check this place out.

However the tasting room more than made up for it. Cozy, charming and good people watching. In the winter there appears to be cute little wood burning stove inside. I love a good camp fire! The wines were genuinely good, and the staff made the experience even better. Super helpful with recommendations and clearly know their stuff when it comes to guiding you through the selections. There is pizza. It's available, but it didn't really deliver on quality -- stick to what they do best, which is the wine. If you are not in the tasting room, you can bring your own food. We LOVED the cats that casually wandered (snuck) into the tasting room like they lived in the place. They were super friendly and would walk past. On a clear day I imagine the outdoor space with those views and a real wood fire is pretty unbeatable. We'll definitely be back when the weather cooperates.
