    Crispy Pad Thai

Came here with friends after snowboarding at Boreal Mountain Resort and it was exactly what we needed. The portions were generous and everything tasted delicious. I ordered the Vegan Pad Thai and it was especially good. One unique item here is the Crispy Pad Thai, which I had never heard of or tried before. I'll definitely order it again next time I'm in the area. The service was friendly, and the inside had a very chill, relaxed vibe. Definitely a great spot to stop by after a day on the slopes.

My daughter and I were looking for some Thai food downtown yesterday and we came across this cute little spot on J street. The place is very cozy and the staff were very welcoming. We decided to order family style and got 3 entrees-Drunken Noodle with Chicken-Thai Fried Rice with Chicken and Se Ew with Beef. All 3 dishes were excellent with just a plethora of traditional flavors from each dish, but my true favorite was the Drunken Noodles. The noodles were perfectly textured fully taking on the flavors from the spicy garlic sauce and basil-the veggies in the dish were cooked great and definitely something I will order again on a return visit.

8/3/25 While in Sac for convention party of 10 we came to Drunken Noodle after some yelp research woohoo. They were very accommodating for a large party. Not a very big restaurant. We were able to call ahead and let them know a large party was coming . They were ready for us . Service was exellent . Food was great. We ordered a little bit of everything as seen in pics. Our server Cookie was his name I believe what receipt said ,was awesome. Really took care of us. The food was authentic and had really great flavor. We all really enjoyed . Definitely would go back . If I'm the midtown sac try them out . Enjoy !!!!

Every time I am in Sacramento I have to stop at drunken noodles. It has been one of my favorite spots for a couple years. I have shared many meals with my friends and now they get to also enjoy the food with their family . The food is always delicious. Their service is wonderful and we can never go wrong with the dollar sake shots.

The Pad Thai here is a 10/10 seriously one of the best I've had in a while! Perfect flavor, great texture, and generous portions. My husband got the papaya salad, which leaned a bit sweet. We ordered it mild, but I think it could've used more spice. Luckily, they have chili sauce on the side so you can adjust it to your liking. Overall, still tasty. I'd give it a 7/10. The red curry was really good too and came with purple rice, which was a nice touch. Another solid 7/10. Service was fantastic! Our server was super friendly and seemed to recognize the regulars, which is always a good sign. I also loved that you can choose your spice level for every dish such a thoughtful detail. Only downside: the smell when you first walk in. It's kind of a mix between strong cleaning supplies (like Clorox) and a damp dirty towel. Honestly, that's what kept me from dining in sooner. But the food and service absolutely make up for it, and I'm glad I finally gave it a chance

This was good Thai food! I asked for my tofu to be cooked crispy and they did a good job, and there was an abundance of cashews in my order so I loved that. Our server didn't ask what level of spice we wanted, and I forgot to specify so there was NO spice, and that was disappointing. Also, none of the tables had any condiments and we had to flag the server down to request it. There was nothing special about the interior of the restaurant, but they did have some artwork on the wall that appeared to be for sale...love it when restaurants support local (I assume) artists! I don't eat meat so I didn't try my friend's Thai fried rice with beef, but she said it was good once she added some chili sauce.

    fried calamari $10.95

Service was friendly and quick. We got sat 40 min before closing so we were in and out. Brought us waters right away which is appreciated. Only ordered fried calamari to share. They don't have rings and legs here it's more large diced pieces that are breaded and fried. The sweet and sour sauce was good, not too sweet. I appreciated that the calamari was not too salty and that they were cooked perfectly, just lightly fried so there's a crispy element yo every bite. Ambiance is very casual here, bathrooms are towards the kitchen on the left:

You can literally get dropped off by the bus to this restaurant! Bus stop is right out front. Delicious food accompanied by friendly local business service. We enjoyed the calamari, chicken pad Thai and.... Medium spicy was a bit spicy for me. Thanks!

Got the drunken noodles and it was every bit of delicious as others said. The spring rolls were also very fresh. My favorite part was that they gave a great amount of peanut sauce. Normally the sauce is never enough but they got the portions right. The portions are very generous. A definite plus! The service was very friendly and sweet. I would be back to try some of the other dishes.

I LOVE this place. I brought brand new acquaintances here because I knew we would get nourishing meals with bright, flavorful produce. A couple years back I came here as one of my first meals out after a bad injury. I trust this place and will be back again and again. I love the eggplant stir fry with tofu!

Always our Thai Foodie GO TO comfort spot when it comes to wanting Thai food, especially getting Thai Tea after a good meal and walk out the door with happy tummies. We usually order Pad Thai noodles here from time to time, but the drunken noodles is flavorful to try, too. Of course we would get our appetizers to fill up our bellies before the main dish haha. Service here is always really good (to us whenever we come) and they make sure to check up on you if you need anything

Ground Chicken Basil W/ Fried Egg, Fried Egg Roll

I ordered delivery from Door Dash. The egg rolls were not soggy and quite crispy when I received my order. There was not much flavor to the egg rolls. I've had better at other similar locations. What I really enjoyed was the ground chicken with basil. I requested medium spice, which was as expected. I really liked the crispy edges on the fried egg. I will return as I would like to try their noodle dishes.

There are self-served condiments table on the right side of the pick up window. You can load as much condiments as you like. They have pickled mustard greens, pickled long beans, bamboo shoots, roasted soy bean, roasted peanuts, scallions, cilantro, and hot sauces. - A1 Guilin Rice Noodle: the noodle was very soft (but a bit too soft for me). The meat pieces were tender and good. The crackling pork pieces were super crispy and gave a nice texture to the dish. - A10 Braised Pork Dry Tossed Noodle: the curly noodle was firmer type than A1 and had a bit of chew (which was similar to instant noodle) and I prefer this. The braised pork was flavorful and delicious! - B11 Preserved Duck Egg with Tofu: the tofu was soft and was a good combo with the preserved duck egg. The egg itself didn't have very strong taste so it was very pleasant. The spicy sauce was mild for me but the overall dish was good. - C1 Old Gui Lin Boba Milk Tea (less sugar): good and milky. The less sugar version was the perfect sweetness for us. The boba pieces were chewy and good.

The drunken noodle plate was so BIG, then compared to the yum woonsen and khao soo those were soo small. I wanna say their stir fried dishes r big portions and everything else is small ig. Flavor of yum woonsen was pretty good, i usually like the sauce, two shrimps. Drunken noodle not bad, noodles r cut rly big lol and bit mushy decent flavor. Overall wouldnt come back, would rather go to saivaree (sister restaurant) which gives better portions and i believe their pricing is cheaper/same.

To all my canto peeps, this will be the place where you feel like home. However a tad variation of preferences to taste buds. My family is from a different area from the Mr. with a different flavor profile than his. So here is our take: braised beef noodle soup - we loved but the Mr. loved it more. Soup reminded me of shoyu ramen with garlic. Simple, soothing and flavorful. I loved it but it was missing a few spices I am personally used to such as more spice mix and pickled mustard greens. House Fried Rice (Thursday special) - this was simple yet satisfying. With shrimp and Chinese sausage in it. Carb overload but it was such a comfort food we cant help but finish it. House soup dumplings which we also liked but again he loved this one more also. Again, simple yet flavorful, clean comfort food while i felt the skin was a tad thicker than what I prefer. So this one depends on your preferences. Regardless, this was still good. Ambiance: clean and welcoming. They have a TV screen to highlight their food items with pictures which I always love to help me find what i want to eat. But wont lie, it makes me want to get every item on there. So during rush hour, do expect wait times but I completely understand and don't mind it. I can see they are busy and would rather than go to a place that is slow where the server walks like a sloth. That is always an eye sore to me. Cost: prices are reasonable and same to any other places similar.
