    Condiment bar
    Jared H.

I ordered the pork rib soup and the flavor was good but the meat could have been cooked better. The meat was very firm and not that tender, but it was still edible. The noodles were thick rice noodles which went well with the meat and broth. There is a self serve condiment bar to add cilantro, green onions, peanuts, bamboo shoots, chili oil, and various pickled vegetables. I really enjoyed selecting and adding my own condiments to my dish. Orders are placed at the counter. There is self serve water. The workers speak very little English so asking questions is very difficult. There are lots of different noddle and meat dishes that come with broth on the side which I would like to try in the future. It was moderately busy on a weekday during lunch time. Tables are arranged in rows so it seems like separate customers may sit at the same table.

It's delish, rice noodles silky texture, its almost as good as the noodles I had in Guilin. Adding all the condiments into noodle really made it better.

Food here is not your typical noodle soup but its very good. You order at the counter and then find seats. Don't be alarm if strangers sit near you. Once your order is ready, they have condiments to the side that you can add to your noodles, which is why the noodles do not look like the ones on the menu. I didn't care for the beef roll pancake but, everything else is pretty good.

Went on a Sunday night and there was a line! We waited for about 20 minute to be seated down. There's easy parking on the outside. You order at the counter, and then they call your number when your food is ready. There is a topping bar with green onions, bamboo shoots, peanuts, etc. Service is quick once you sit down. Very authentic Guilin Noodles that is generous with its portions. Be careful though, the braised pork is extremely fatty, so I would avoid ordering that. Shaved Ice was huge and delicious! We didn't expect that many toppings. It's a casual restaurant and can be very noisy during peak hours.

If you've never been to Gui Lin, this is your chance. The beef brisket was tender and flavorful. I tried both dry and soup noodles. It's pretty basic until you add the condiments, which consists of a variety of pickled vegetables. If you do it right, you'll get to experience spicy, salty, sour, sweet, and crunchy notes all in one bite. It's also communal seating. Be ready to sit with strangers. 8/10.

TL;DR: Order at the counter. Get a pager. Food comes out on the other side of the counter. TOPPINGS BAR! communal seating, if busy a worker might help you find a place to sit. First time trying Guilin rice noodles and it won't be the last because I need to try everything else on the menu. We ordered a cucumber salad and the original Old Guilin noodles. It's so warm and soothing. The cucumber salad was refreshing and just the right amount of spicy. Definitely coming back when the weather is colder!

My friend and I came here for lunch around 11:30am on a Sunday, and it was pretty busy. You order at the front and take a buzzer to any open seat you can find. It's a pretty typical asian food hall type set-up with multiple long, large tables that you might have to share with other parties. Our food was ready in about 5 minutes, and once you grab your noodles you can take the bowl to the self-serve topping and condiments bar to add different pickled veggies, cilantro, green onion, chili and other sauces. Both of us got a A1 guilin rice noodle, plus a preserved duck egg over tofu to share. The bowl of noodles is quite large, and I couldn't finish mine in one sitting, so it's definitely worth it! The rice noodles are thick and chewy so they can be quite filling, and it came with a generous portion of protein - the meat wasn't as tender as some other similar restaurants Ive been to, but the pork skin was super crispy. The noodles do come with a small bowl of broth as well. I really enjoyed being able to pick our own toppings and add more as needed :) The tofu and preserved egg was also a pretty generous portion and super refreshing! You bus your own tables at the end. Overall, definitely a great noodle spot, and I'd highly recommend checking it out! It's quite busy but service is super quick.

Great place for guilin noodles. I've already flown from San Jose for this 2ce, and will keep coming back. The noodles are tender and the meats are flavorful. The best part is you can add whatever sides you want to make it to your taste. I love the pickled beans and bamboo shoots with spicy oil. Also, no tipping, which is great.

Prices are as listed. You'll get a good amount of yummy food for $15. They have a self-serve toppings station with bamboo, pickles, sauces. Their cucumber salad for sub $8 is really good with enough cilantro, fresh smashed cucumber, good garlicky chili oil. Dry dishes come with a bowl of soup. Dont recommend noodles (maybe rice noodles good?) as they are just instant ramen noodles. Nice ambiance not dirty.

Yummy! Large braised pork over rice 9/10 - very flavorful, juicy, soft - melts in your mouth! - wish there was more of the braised pork sauce in the rice - definitely a LARGE portion - get the condiments in the side (pickled veggies, cilantro, green onion) - comes with side of bone broth Guilin rice noodles 9/10 - unique flavor - reminds me of my parents home cooking - toppings make this meal so yummy - crunchy pork skin add such a great texture and flavor - comes with side of bone broth Pork ear 10/10 - flavored very well - not heavy on the vinegar - crunchy and refreshing Beef rolls 10/10 - very crispy - the pancake definitely tastes like it is made in house - beef was very good and braised until soft! Guilin milk tea with pearls 9/10 - boba was chewy and delicious - milk tea was creamy and tea flavor is still strong - definitely compares to China - normal sugar/ice is perfect for those with a sweet tooth - it's perfect for me but I can see people wanting 50-75% sweet. Service was 10/10 even though we order at the front, pick up our food, and buss our own tables. The owner (I think?) was the one who took our order. She was very friendly and explained all the popular orders and recommended great options. Overall, I'd come back if I lived in this area. I could see myself becoming a regular with these prices! Many of the customers who came in seemed to be regulars and the owner remembers them. A very nice community feeling. *Mandarin, Cantonese, and some English is okay for ordering.

First time trying this place & I was very pleased! My partner & I just tried their boba, but the food on the menu looked super tasty too! The coconut shake with strawberry boba was to die for!! The shake literally tasted like coconut ice cream!

Soup was very flavorful and the meat was not tough or dry. The Beef Roll was also tasty, but I would have liked it a little crispier. It's a very casual joint. You order at the counter (get a buzzer) and choose your seat at one of the communal tables. There is a self serve toppings area and you bust your table when you are done. Our food came out super quick!

I was pretty disappointed. The rice tasted strange and seemed off compared to other places I've been. The portions were okay, but the food didn't justify the price. In my opinion, it's overpriced and overrated. I wanted to like it, but I probably won't be coming back.

This had the perfect balance of sweetness. It was light and refreshing and balanced the rest of the flavors of the meal. I started with the seaweed salad. It was a solid seaweed salad. Good seasoning and texture. It was a good portion size as well. Melissa and Jonathan had the gyoza. They were stuffed full of meat, but I felt like the seasoning was a little less than and also they were unevenly cooked. I still tried one though because a gyoza is a gyoza. As my main, I had the karamiso ramen with a spicy miso based broth with seasoned ground chicken, veggies and chili threads for an extra kick. I enjoyed this bowl of ramen. It was the perfect level of spice. I am partial to ground meat in ramen, so I liked that this was an option. The veggies were cooked al dente which I appreciated, and the broth was filling and flavorful. The noodles were thin which is my favorite type. Attentive service here. OUr water cups were always filled no matter how hot the ramen was. Solid meal here.

I got the Karamiso ramen, the spice level was okay, but upon tasting the broth, you get a rich flavorful punch of pork flavor with sourness. I like the richness of the broth and sour flavors so I was drawn to it. My wife got the Aka Red Tonkotsu ramen, the broth was definitely lighter, and the spice level was abut the same as the one I got. The portions were generous, we were not able to finish our ramens unfortunately. But I must say, for the price, it's worth it. I would like to go back and try their tan tan men.

To all my canto peeps, this will be the place where you feel like home. However a tad variation of preferences to taste buds. My family is from a different area from the Mr. with a different flavor profile than his. So here is our take: braised beef noodle soup - we loved but the Mr. loved it more. Soup reminded me of shoyu ramen with garlic. Simple, soothing and flavorful. I loved it but it was missing a few spices I am personally used to such as more spice mix and pickled mustard greens. House Fried Rice (Thursday special) - this was simple yet satisfying. With shrimp and Chinese sausage in it. Carb overload but it was such a comfort food we cant help but finish it. House soup dumplings which we also liked but again he loved this one more also. Again, simple yet flavorful, clean comfort food while i felt the skin was a tad thicker than what I prefer. So this one depends on your preferences. Regardless, this was still good. Ambiance: clean and welcoming. They have a TV screen to highlight their food items with pictures which I always love to help me find what i want to eat. But wont lie, it makes me want to get every item on there. They all look yummy. Service: Its a family run restaurant and one person serving everyone plus seating and taking the bill. So during rush hour, do expect wait times but I completely understand and don't mind it. I can see they are busy and would rather than go to a place that is slow where the server walks like a sloth. That is always an eye sore to me. Cost: prices are reasonable and same to any other places similar. Parking is in a huge plaza and can be crowded during rush hour but still enough just may need to walk further a bit. If we ever travel this way again, will definitely be back!
