We were warned that because they were so busy that the kitchen was backed up and we would have a longer than normal wait for our food, but that didn't bother us as we were enjoying an evening out and had had a pretty big lunch earlier in the day, so we weren't starving. It wasn't an exceptionally long time before our food was brought out. My husband had the bacon jam salmon over garlic mash and I had the bruschetta chicken with rosemary fingerlings. Both meals were incredible. It's hard to believe that this unassuming little restaurant in Warsaw had better food than most of the high-end places we've eaten at in Kansas City and other cities. The presentation was beautiful as well. Christian, our server, was polite and attentive. Two Michelin-star quality entrees w/sides, two glasses of wine, and incredibly all for well under $100 including a 25% tip. I highly recommend The Landing for anyone looking for great food in Warsaw. If/when we take another lake trip, we'll be back. We've even discussed that this might be worth a special trip from KC just for a meal alone! I asked for a cup of water and they told me they do not have cups of water, only bottles for $2 each. You are literally a restaurant. How do you not have cups of water? How are you cooking and washing dishes without clean water? On top of the very expensive (and quite frankly, unreasonable) prices, we were surprised with a 20% gratuity (for a party of 2) that they said was standard for everyone. They also added a separate card charge on top of this. This wasn't stated anywhere until we got the check. This should not be their choice. I believe they require this charge because they know they will not get that based on the service. Wish I would've gone to the gas station instead of paying $95 for a two person dinner. Seriously. Freezer meals would have been better tasting and more enjoyable and I wouldn't have had to feel as though I was bothering the staff with my presence. Also, the steps to get into the pool were extremely slick and unsafe. I will absolutely not be back.

Trash was piled up on most tables, left untouched long after guests had left. Meanwhile, a cluster of employees stood around doing absolutely nothing. I snapped a photo of the scene, and instead of acknowledging the issue, one of them smirked and sent security over to give me a hard time. When I brought it up to the manager, she claimed that phone use and vaping weren't allowed, but had no explanation for why it's clearly tolerated. The food? Cold, flavorless, and tossed together like it was an afterthought. And the "family-friendly" atmosphere? Not even close. There was loud, explicit music playing right next to the kids' area while intoxicated adults were grinding on each other in the pool. It felt more like a spring break free-for-all than a place you'd want to take your family. The only person who acted with any professionalism was the security guard checking IDs at the entrance, and that's saying something. This place is a mess. Dirty, reckless, and completely mismanaged. If you care about safety, service, or basic decency, look elsewhere.

I deducted a star because the salad was bagged shredded lettuce with a handful of shredded cheddar/jack cheese mounded on it. No tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, croutons, etc. Salad dressing was obviously bottled, but at least serving it on the side is standard. You get 2 packages of Club crackers. When that come to the table, I was thoroughly ready to be greatly disappointed. Lucky for Lucky's the meat and vegetables absolutely redeemed them!
