I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the food is great. Not the same ol' same ol'. Good variety on the menu for all palettes. Fun items as well as comfort foods.

My grandma is a local here and loves this place for the cottage pie. Naturally when I came down I had to try it. My meal was great it normally comes with green beans and bacon but they let me sub another side for freeeee. Love that since I have dietary restrictions. Although the chicken was perfectly fried and served extremely hot. My favorite thing was the serving size of mashed potatoes! You probably can't tell by the photo but I promise each scoop was a solid handful! They are really heavy handed on the gravy and it's a bit bland but nothing some extra pepper can't fix. Waitress was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and deals. Apparently she's the same waitress who often serves my grandma. So I thought that was really sweet. They have nice happy hour deals on appetizers and drinks. What is really entertaining about this place is they serve flights of whiskey shots! I can only imagine the type of shenanigans going on here after dark. Also it's kinda funny there's a bbq place next door and it was absolutely DEAD on a Friday night. Really goes to show you should always eat where the local do!

Went to this great place today with my family. Laid back atmosphere, great 90's music, and delicious food! We had the Mango Habanero Whiskeyriitas, Rueben egg rolls, and a delicious Fish and Chips platter that comes out with a fried pickle, fries, and two pieces of cod fish. So delicious.

Great place, lots of locals, good character. Lots of variety on the menu, huge portions, pretty good prices considering the portions and an attentive waitress. Everyone loved their food, especially the shrimp and fish. My buffalo wings were just ok, cooked great but the sauce was just ok. But everything else looked and tasted great. Highly recommend!

I had the shepherds pie that was sooooo full of potatoes. The little amount of meat was flavorful but the ratio of meat to potato was a 5 to one ratio. Wife had the chicken Rueben and it was delicious. Place was very busy. Staff was attentive. Family oriented and clean. Parking was tight but doable.

Best fish n chips I've had in over 35 years! These were melt in your mouth delicious. We actually should have shared because I only ate one piece but now we have leftovers so that's a win. Service was excellent and ambiance was good. Loved the Irish decor and good music playing. We'll definitely be back.

What a GREAT place at the lake! Food is AMAZING! I got the Highlander Pie and it tasted so good and the skillet was so big. It was super filling. Service was great, like I was down south in a small town. They take REALLY good care of you here. The place was packed on a Tuesday for lunch so you know that is a good sign. Lastly, they have a nice atmosphere and it feels really homey inside. There are a few TVs along with a full bar. Gotta go and try this gem!!

This is our absolute favorite place when we're at the lake. They have such delicious food. Our favorites are the burgers, salisbury steak, and blackened shrimp pasta. Their Happy Hour is top notch, specials on appetizers and drinks. The staff is so friendly and the bartenders are talented, so fun to just watch them make cocktails. Always a fun time talking to all the patrons at the bar. Such a friendly place.

Perfect steak! And so flavorful!

Everything was absolutely amazing including our waiter, Owen. Food was perfectly cooked and the onion rings were HUGE! Definitely worth it! The live music was great, not so loud you couldn't hear over it and not so quiet it got lost. Will be back!!

The Highlander Public House is the brunch you've been looking for The menu of cocktails to the brunch menu that's served 10am-2pm Saturdays & Sundays is just what you need! Plenty of seating inside, the vibe is a pub. Plenty of seating with a full bar. Great for a couple or large parties! Our Waitress was super nice & gave recommendations on her favorites! Make sure to check out this new joint in Camdenton!

This is an outstanding restaurant. The food is amazing with massive portions. Tiffany did an amazing job as our server!! The ambiance of the bar is Irish but very local friendly.

It's the kind of joint where the atmosphere is thicker than a Sunday morning fog and the hospitality is warmer than a radiator in July. Since we're right there in the shadow of the fort, you'll find yourself rubbing elbows with all sorts of folks. They say you ought to eat where the locals eat, but in a military town, "local" is a relative term--most everybody there is from somewhere else, and they're all just passing through on Uncle Sam's dime. But at Hopper's, for an hour or two, everybody's treated like they grew up right down the street. If f you're looking for a cold beer, Hopper's has their own house brew on tap that's colder than a mother-in-law's stare. It's a sports bar in the truest sense--wall-to-wall TV screens making sure you don't miss a single down or a checkered flag. When there's a car show in town or a big game on, the place gets livelier than a porch dog with a new bone. Speaking of dogs there is a semi-permanent guest that stops by name of Norman. Pet him and you will have a friend for life. They aren't feeding birds here, friend. We're talking Burgers and fries of with tons of flavor. Sliders, cheesesteaks and wings, make sure you got extra napkins. I am not sure why but I think he also have vegetarian options. The staff is politer than a deacon on Sunday. They're attentive, friendly, and they treat travelers like they've lived in Waynesville their whole lives. Keep in mind they are pumping out a ton of adult beverages and food. A cold beer and a good burger are worth a five minute wait. Whether you're just passing through or you're a "local" who's only been in town since your last PCS, Hopper's is a solid bet for a good time and a full belly. It's family-friendly, high-energy, and highly recommended. And if you happen to be there when they break out the Bingo, hold onto your hat. They've got a unique set of calls and responses that'll frighten and amaze you the first time you hear 'em--it's somewhere between a drill sergeant's cadence and a tent revival, and it's worth the price of admission just to witness the spectacle.

If you have…read moreever been to Ireland you'll know that the sketchier a pub looks on the outside the better it is inside. This hold true here. Plain brick front, doors with multiple locks on them. But, inside you'll find a warm friendly bar, a basic restaurant area off to the side, very friendly staff and excellent food. You can sit and enjoy a fresh poured Irish beer out of a tap, excellent Irish pub food all while browsing through one of the Irish books on a shelf in the restaurant. Since we only live 90 minutes away from here we will definitely be back now we have found this place.

Parked on street saw they had a busy beer garden out back but only went to the bar. Got bangers and mash. It was awesome. Two big brats, kraut, onion gravy. Like 2 lbs of mashed potatoes and huge portion of mushy peas. All of it was awesome. Got a cup of chili it was very good as well. Paired with a black and tan and noticed they had a great selection of Irish beers. Bartenders were nice and personable. Service was good and quick and would highly reccomend it to anyone. We were warned that because they were so busy that the kitchen was backed up and we would have a longer than normal wait for our food, but that didn't bother us as we were enjoying an evening out and had had a pretty big lunch earlier in the day, so we weren't starving. It wasn't an exceptionally long time before our food was brought out. My husband had the bacon jam salmon over garlic mash and I had the bruschetta chicken with rosemary fingerlings. Both meals were incredible. It's hard to believe that this unassuming little restaurant in Warsaw had better food than most of the high-end places we've eaten at in Kansas City and other cities. The presentation was beautiful as well. Christian, our server, was polite and attentive. Two Michelin-star quality entrees w/sides, two glasses of wine, and incredibly all for well under $100 including a 25% tip. I highly recommend The Landing for anyone looking for great food in Warsaw. If/when we take another lake trip, we'll be back. We've even discussed that this might be worth a special trip from KC just for a meal alone! Yes, it's that good that we'd actually consider a nearly 4 hour round trip to come back!

I asked about the special and although…read moreit sounded delicious, it was way too much food and the price was $68 so I opted for the Ortega burger with a side of Mac & Cheese. 56 minutes later I was served my dinner. My server told me 3 different times that "yours is the next one up", the first time being 22 minutes prior to being served and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn't standing room only and by the time I was served it was more than half empty. The Mac & Cheese was extremely bland and I didn't eat very much at all. My server recognized my frustration and offered a voluntary discount on my dinner. She discounted 2 of my 3 beers that I had while waiting although I didn't drink my 3rd one. I've had much better experiences at this establishment but after tonight, it is no longer my favorite place to dine in Warsaw!!!!
