She lifted my hair, gave me beautiful blue purple highlights, and trimmed my hair. All I had intended to have done was a trim and a deep condition. I'm really glad she told me what she thought she could do with the color, I am not disappointed. She is also very skilled with cutting hair. Very precise scissoring, rather than chunky layering which most lazy hairdressers do IMO. The atmosphere was very chic, relaxing, boho modern trendy. Now, the thought of dying my hair freaks me out because I have super fine hair that grows very slowly and I love it's natural color. During Winter though, blondes I know you can relate, my hair goes a little on the darker side because I'm not getting enough sun. So I asked my stylist, Krystal, what she thought the best thing to do was and set me up with a non-bleach balayage style, lightening service. In non-fancy terms, it's a natural way of not killing your hair and lightening it in an evenly layered process. I love how far we've come with salon techniques in the world! Krystal was very gentle, a great conversationist. She listened to all my worries about my lack of trust for hair salons and made me overcome those fears by proving the right way to do it. I left with my naturally blonde hair, a little "more sun-kissed," softer, healthier and feeling like a rockstar. She gave me waters and tea, magazines and time alone to close my eyes and breathe. I loved it! I talked with the owner and a couple other stylists on my way out and all were very kind and genuinely helpful with tips. I would definitely recommend this salon on all levels! They have tons of parking and are located right next to a wide variety of restaurants, a movie theatre, and a Starbucks. Great one stop shop to prep with your girls for a date night and/or movie with friends!

DO NOT GET THE ULTA CREDIT CARD!!! The customer service is BEYOND TERRIBLE and the WORST experience…read moreyou will ever have. I have been shopping at Ulta and a rewards member since I was about 11 years old, and I have been using the credit card for the past 2 years. Earlier this year, Ulta Beauty had my address wrong so I wasn't receiving any paper statements and I wasn't able to check my balance online because my account would never let me log in or reset my password. I had an $8 purchase on my card that I had forgotten about, and I hadn't received any statements about in the mail. 4 months go by, that $8 turned into $200. When I called customer care to explain the situation, she was extremely rude, talked to me like I was stupid, and acted like it was MY fault they had my address wrong. Mind you up until that point I had made every payment on time for the 2 years I had this card because I would call to make the payment the next day. And since I had forgotten this ONE time, I now had to pay $200 for an $8 purchase. Customer service did NOTHING to assist me except update my address. After being talked to like I was an idiot for about an hour, I finally gave in and told them I would just pay the full balance. They processed the payment over the phone, but conveniently neglected to tell me ANOTHER fee was going to be applied to my account since it was after the 1st of the month. So I was under the impression that the FULL balance was paid because that's what we agreed on over the phone, when I secretly had ANOTHER fee applied to my account. I went two months thinking the entire balance was paid, only to get another statement a few days ago saying I had $87 worth of fees. I called customer care AGAIN, to explain the situation, and after talking to two different people the "best" they said could do was waive half of the balance. I was tired of arguing to people who clearly couldn't care less, so I agreed to it, paid the rest of the balance, and then told them to close my account. This has been by far the WORST experience I've had with any customer service. They were rude, unhelpful, and tried to place the blame on me for their own shortcomings. They did not acknowledge the frustration of my situation, or make even a SLIGHT effort to make my experience a little better. I had been a loyal customer/rewards member for 12 years, and a loyal credit card user for over 2 years, and they treated me like utter dog shit. I will now be going to Target or Sephora for all of my beauty needs. Ulta, you have a sad excuse for customer service and I hope karma comes back to bite all of the unpleasant individuals I had the unfortunate opportunity to talk to right in the a**
