I entrusted One Day cleaners with multiple high-quality garments after my wedding in the states,…read moreincluding three brand new dresses from Reformation (each only worn once) and a custom one-of-a-kind designer wedding dress (worn once). All items were returned to me extremely damaged after cleaning. Damage to the Reformation dresses included pleats being removed from multiple dresses, all the dresses shrinking, and dresses losing elasticity. The worst damage, by far, was to my one-of-a-kind wedding dress. The top is now a whole size smaller, the fabric from the inner lining has been frayed, and the structure of the bottom has been completely changed. This dress was not only sentimental and expensive, it was required for a second ceremony overseas. Because it was damaged and we needed to attend our second wedding overseas immediately, we were forced to scramble while traveling internationally to repair the dress and secure backup outfits immediately before the wedding. Despite extensive documentation, before-and-after photos and videos, and corroborating assessments from the dress designer, a seamstress, and dry-cleaning professionals, the business refused responsibility, blamed manufacturer defects, and offered no meaningful resolution. The most disappointing part of this ordeal is that they never apologized or even seemed to consider it could possibly be their fault, and have now stopped responding to our communications. We will be filing a claim in small claims court. Not only is the total value of these garments over $4,000, the distress and frustration this ordeal has caused us was immense as well. If you value designer, formal, or irreplaceable garments, proceed with extreme caution. Mistakes can happen, but accountability and customer care matter. Unfortunately, neither was shown here.
