Brought the dress back and they told me just add some wax and try again. What kind of crazy is that. My daughter had to find something else to wear. Snappy Dry Cleaners just earned that designation from my family. We have used them in the past for our most valuable clothing, and this week we had probably the most personal request: Would they dry clean and alter a new suit, which would be used to bury my father in law in? In his "eternal clothes"? No problem, the owner said. And we will do it quickly as you need. Two days later, I arrived to pick up a perfectly hemmed and pressed suit, shirt, and handkerchief. When I reached for my wallet to pay, the owner held up his hand and said "No, you won't need to pay, this is from me. I feel wrong asking you to do so." I stood there for a moment, not fully understanding what he was offering. But the enormity of his service - his respectful offering to help in his small way a grieving family he didn't really know - had a tremendous impact on us. He didn't have to do that, it was his special choice to do so, and for that kind gesture has earned our business and gratitude forever. Patronize this business with me. Don't go here for alterations. Had them alter the sleeves of a sports coat recently that I was going to wear at a wedding. The gentlemen who I think runs the place was very nice. Unfortunately, they butchered the sleeves; it was so bad, I couldn't wear it to the wedding. Buttons looked terrible. Line wasn't straight on sleeve. Material was hanging out over alteration line. I had to take the sports coat to another alterations place to fix the problems caused by this place. The lady at the other alterations shop looked at the sleeves and immediately said, "Oh no, this makes me want to cry." Indeed. I needed some pants altered and was trying to find last minute alterations and they said they could do it. They did an amazing job on all the pants. On top of that, they are such a nice family and they make you feel so welcome. When picking up my pants they let me know there was a chemical smell in them. They had me smell pants they had cleaned compared to my pants and sure enough, my pants had a strong chemical smell that I had never noticed due to getting my clothes cleaned at the same place over and over. Snappy Dry Cleaners does not use any chemicals and only all natural cleaners. So happy I found this one stop shop for so many of my needs...and they are right around the corner.
