Daniel came early to appointment time on holiday (fourth of July), and worked really quickly to get me into my apartment - overall a painless process Note that there is a $65 service call charge. I ended up paying $160 for two replacement keys (for which I had temporary originals). I needed three locks changed, 10 spare keys to be made, and I needed a deadbolt fixed. It was an urgent security situation that needed immediate handling, and it was almost midnight. I needed to find a locksmith who could show up nearly instantly and do the work quickly. Honestly, at first I was a bit skeptical of getting that from a 24 hour service. I must say, Daniel is one of the most punctual, hardworking, efficient-working, and polite people I have ever met. He was extremely professional at every moment, and he surprised me by giving off a very positive energy and cheerfulness. He was never presumptuous and quickly was able to understood my needs accurately. So he didn't any interaction with me while he was working. I really feel his motives are mainly to ensure that I would be satisfied with his work. There were a couple pleasant surprises in him generously doing a few extra things that I didn't know my lock needed to work more reliably. But he generously did the extra work at no charge, again I believe, because he wanted me to be more than very happy with his work. Once you meet Daniel you will quickly see where his heart is. Daniel picked and re-keyed two locks for us - a mailbox lock and (apparently) a sophisticated high-end door lock. On the plus side, he was very polite and energetic, he coached us on how to use some unusual doors, he got the job done even though he was dealing with an unfamiliar lock, and he made sure we got to test the doors ourselves to make sure everything worked. It was at this point that we found a concern, so I really appreciated his process. On the down side, he had to return to his office to get a tool that he lacked to pick our unusual lock, and he was expensive. I found $510 for two locks (and providing two keys for one of them) to be high, although it's totally possible that's the market rate and I'm just off. There was also a miscommunication about whether he was showing up at a particular time, or within a one-hour window, so we thought he was late. With better communication this would be 4* and with better/more transparent pricing, 5*. read more
