I have used them in the past without any issues, so I decided to give them a try again when I recently moved. BAD DECISION. On the website it says "Our 3.0Mbps package is good for users who have multiple internet connected devices. There is enough download and upload speed for playing games, streaming movies, listening to online music and downloading. " I thought great that should work for me as that is what I previously had at my old home only 5 miles from my new home. We can't even use 2 computers with one trying to stream a tv show(no hd) and another surfing the web. That is ridiculous considering their website clearly states "Our 3.0Mbps package is good for users who have multiple internet connected devices. There is enough download and upload speed for playing games, streaming movies, listening to online music and downloading." which is exactly what we are doing. So I called to see if there was a technical issue with the connection. The tech said no but that it was likely due to the fact that we had 3.0 speed to which I replied DSL says on its website that this was enough speed for what I wanted. Then I called their sales department to see what my options were to upgrade to 6.0 or cancel my account. 1. upgrade to 6.0 for the double the cost $30/month instead of 14.95/month 2. cancel my account and pay $250 again ridiculous Luckily I was speaking with a very nice customer service rep who understood my frustration and worked with me to upgrade me at their promotional price of 19.95/month for the 6.0 So I am happy that I will only be paying 19.95/month for a year now but not sure if this will still be enough speed for what I need...it takes 3-5 business days for them to upgrade the service. I would recommend using a cable provider if you can such as comcast, att, verizon, which is what I will be doing once my contract runs out. read more

My most recent experience was with a client. Her service went out. It's always been slow, but that's been okay for her. Now it just wouldn't work. I do on-site tech support for a living, and I often make these kind of phone calls for clients. I just want the problem resolved. They used to be fantastic, but that was when their "level 1" support was in Chatsworth. Now it's in another country and while the people are trying hard, they have ZERO capabilities. They can't check ANYTHING. I spent THIRTY minutes talking to two different people who had me unplug & replug like a donkey AFTER I told them that I had already done that. They couldn't even SEE if the modem was in Sync. Two hours after my first call, some "engineer" called about the issue with the same sound in his voice. I asked him if he could tell if there were problems on the line, or a problem with the modem. He began bumbling and finally said, "well, no". I thanked him for his call and hung up. So I bought a new modem, and called to find out if we would need login info or not. The reps again were less than helpful, so I said "please elevate my call". They said they would put me into a queue and they would call back. I told the rep that since I bill clients by the hour, I didn't want to wait for the callback. I told her I would prefer to hold. So I did. For about 10 minutes. And then someone local (North America based) answered. The "level 2" rep was much more knowledgeable and better equipped than earlier reps. Despite all the drama, DSL Extreme DOESN'T HAVE ANY ACCESS TO THE LINES. So they have to deal with AT&T for the repair technician. Unreal. I'm very close to recommending my client switch providers. BOTTOM LINE - if you specifically need DSL, don't even consider these guys. They used to be a prom queen, but now it's just clown shoes. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED... EVEN REMOTELY. Similar problems to those listed below. I signed up to avoid the other mainstream services which are, obviously, expensive. The advertised rate for DSL Extreme's Fusion internet + voice is $34.95/mo with speeds up to 20mbps. 20MBPS!! It's still up on their site and you can check it out yourself. I would have been happy with 1/4 of this--maybe less--but all I was able to wring out of it in my area (Highland Park, Los Angeles) was **DRUMROLL** 900kbps, folks. My 4G iPhone is faster. So a specialist came out twice to look at the lines. Nothing to be done. Everything working perfectly. He said the most anyone in my neighborhood could hope for was 1.2mbps. So DSL Extreme advertises speeds up to 20mbps for $34.95 and delivers 900kbps to me with a max potential of 1.2. Great. The kicker: they say on their site that the package is "Satisfaction Guaranteed for 30 Days". I assumed this meant I could cancel with minimal cost. WRONG. Not only are you charged $60+ for startup, but this week I discovered a $200.18 charge on my checking account. Unnngh. They advise that a $100 fee will be placed until they receive their equipment (which I mailed back weeks ago), but I have no idea where this figure comes from. Have yet to sort it out with customer service but I'm pretty sure they're going to give me the run around and basically renege on that "satisfaction guaranteed" advertisement. I'm getting too worked up just thinking about this. They make AT&T look like goddamn Amazon Prime. I can't WAIT to hook up U-Verse and pay out the nose for internet that actually works. My Wi-Fi kept going out, as well as the main connection. My connection was slower than promised too. I tried to have this corrected multiple times and it still continued to happen. I understand they piggybacked on AT&T... so who knows where the problem was. The last bill had more than tripled... so I asked to cancel service and they told me I would have to cancel online. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Then they told me they could cancel for me but I would have to pay the entire bill before they provided me with cancellation. I then asked to speak with escalations because I did not agree with the bill. They said they could reduce my bill if I signed up for another year. No way... I ended up paying for the month I used at their inflated rate so I could cancel and then told them I still wanted to speak with escalations. A supervisor did call me back. I asked why I had to pay for 6 more days of service when I already canceled. She said this was because AT&T could not disconnect for another 6 days... So they are now charging me at their inflated rate for a service I already canceled. I have had issues with my bill in the past with AT&T and the supervisor had always been helpful. Awful Awful Awful! When we first signed up with them, we thought we had a good deal, until we realized the deal was for slower than slow speeds (I'm talking worse than 56k here). Not only was it slow, but inconsistent too. Since we were stuck on a contract, we called in and found out we had to upgrade to get passable speeds, which basically was the same price as going through the better, more reputable DSL company anyway. I swore I would cancel at the one year mark! One year later, we canceled and switched to cable (so much more reliable!). I returned their modem, and thankfully kept the tracking number and got a delivery confirmation, because lo and behold, 6 months later, I get a threatening letter mailed to my parents home (not sure how they got that address since i never used that address for this account) saying they were sending me to collections for not returning the modem. Mind you, I never got any notice at all to my actual address. I called, and luckily had the UPS tracking number that they looked up which cleared my account. They told me however that if I didn't have that number, I would've basically been screwed. Just lovely. Good thing I didn't trust the company to begin with... because it's obviously my fault that their returns and billing department was useless. On the flip side, I liked that their customer service had a call back feature rather than making me sit on hold forever (I bet they're busy with a lot of complaint calls) and the guy I talked to was nice enough. He had a bit of fear in his voice, which made me feel like he'd gotten yelled at plenty already, and it was only 9am... so I took pity on the guy. The absolute WORST!!! Would give 0 stars if possible. My parents had internet for many years with this company and were pleased, so I decided to give them a try when looking for a new internet provider. I won't go into the whole saga, but long story short is the company is misleading (the modem provided is NOT a router contrary to what their reps on the phone say), the tech support is a joke (I literally had a rep laugh at me over the phone; another called me at 7 AM on a Sunday), and their billing department is reprehensible. I was literally a moment away from reporting to the BBB, but decided to just cough up the cash to cancel because I prefer not to be insulted by customer service. In short, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I wish there were zero stars because that is what they deserve. For the first two years there service was good. Last June the internet became slower and slower. Initially they said the problem was with my wiring. I have a CAT5e cable running from the exterior connection box to my phone jack, which is the top cable on the market, so I told them that cannot be the problem. Then their tech said it could be that my house was too far away from the ATT switching station which is over two miles away. I asked them why that should matter, since the distance from the station to my house had not changed for the last two years. The tech had no answer. He went on to say it could be phone filters, or my modem, or the phone line from the jack to the modem. I asked for them to send me a new modem, and changed the phone filters and bought a 4 foot phone cord like the tech suggested. That did nothing to help the situation. I called back after I had did everything the previous tech told me to do, install a new modem etc, and told him I still had a week connection. The new DSL tech continued to say that the problem was on my end, but said he would send out an ATT tech to check out the situation The ATT tech said there was nothing wrong with my wiring, but yes the signal from DSL Extreme was week. He recommended that I go to another carrier. This whole back and forth process was over two months. I finally canceled my account and asked for a refund for the time that I had no internet service and they refused, claiming that the problem was again with my wiring, which was a lie, as there own tech whom they sent to my house confirmed. I found most of the tech and billing department not very helpful and at times making me feel as if the problem had nothing to do with them. Yet they were happy to take my money and provide me with ZERO SERVICE. Unless you are within a mile of the ATT substation that DSL Extreme uses to generate the signal you will get horrible service. They will tell you the problem is with your wiring, that you don't change out the filters, or that the phone cord that goes between the modem and the phone jack and the modem is the problem. But they WILL NEVER TELL YOU that the real problem is that they piggyback on ATT copper wires and they don't have the technology to fix any connectivity problems on their end, They will blame YOU and anyone else but themselves. But they will be happy to take your money and provide you with NO SERVICE. I will be seeking other remedies, including the BBB. read more

It's not unlike watching a piece of leftover pie decay and rot in a brand-new refrigerator. There was a time, children, when DSLExtreme (I'll call it DSLX) was a pretty good choice for an ISP. Then I guess the MBAs moved in and they turned over all e-mail to Google rather than spending a few bucks upgrading their own mail servers. This was when the first spores of fungus began to invade the once-tasty pie. Everybody on the planet can get a free gmail account. Those of us with DSLX are privileged to PAY for the opportunity to waste 2 hours a day watching an endless series of idiotic error messages about how the message could not be loaded, or how my "chat" connection has been lost. But that's OK because every time a server error occurs the message is preceded by OOPS! How freakin' cute. That makes everything all right, I guess. DSLX used to have actual people in technical support. Humans. Who spoke English. Now it's just inept goofballs on the other side of the world charged with the responsibility of convincing you - the customer - that all problems are YOUR fault. DSLX tells me it's my responsibility to deal with Google mail, even though I don't have a Google account. Wanna see the DSLX chat telling me it's not THEIR responsibility to deal with THEIR webmail problems? Lots and lots of screen captures guaranteed to make you sick, not unlike a moldy piece of pie (except this mold contains no penicillin). I have a measured amd consistent 3Mbps download speed, and while Google mail is constantly screwing up I have secure and fast connections on other Firefox tabs. It's in eBay's interest to have good connections so they can make money. And they do. While Google mail is telling me to check my internet connection, I get 99% fault-free connections on eBay, MSN, or any other website....but not on my DSLX webmail, brought to you by Google. At my other location, I finally fired DSLX and AT&T at the same time (that felt sooo good) and switched to Sonic.net. There I have a 6Mbps connection and Google mail still doesn't work. Apparently the connection between DSLX servers and Google mail servers is .... what's the polite term? Oh yes - inadequate. And DSLExtreme simply doesn't care. I have sent them screen captures of all the BS error messages. They will insist until the last penny has been sucked out of the company and it collapses that all of this is MY fault. But why is DSLX webmail the ONLY thing that doesn't work? Except for a few days at a time, when it works as intended, just to make the experience even more infuriating. Oh - they do reliably deliver every spam, scam, malware, counterfeit Rolex watch, Viagra, and you-name-it unwanted e-mail. After I have marked a few hundred obvious phishing e-mails as phishing, they might start taking notice. Randomly. Rarely. DSLExtreme delivers a fairly good Internet connection with few problems, generally at the upload and download speeds I'm paying for. I have to reboot their modem and/or my router only once a month or so. Not so bad for 3Mbps over ancient AT&T copper wires. That's the good news. As far as DSLX webmail is concerned, they simply don't care how awful it is. At my age I simply don't have 2 hours a day to waste waiting for e-mail to load. And when you finally fire DSLX, be sure to return your DSL modem (it's not technically a modem, but never mind) with tracking or you'll end up paying $99 for something that might fetch as much as $5 at your neighborhood surplus store. The service especially during the day is so slow it's virtually unusable, and it just stops from time to time. One of my biggest mistakes of the last 12 months was signing up with DSL Extreme - they have charged me hundreds of dollars for no service. When I first got hooked up the maximum bandwidth I could get on my was unworkable - web pages were slow or timing out completly. I had an engineer come out a couple of times - they told me that I probably couldn't do any better in my area (SF!). I struggled along for a while, then I decided to try Comcast. The service I have had from them has been great - reliable, fast, no issues. Then the kicker ... I went to cancel my DSL Extreme connection and they said no - not without their seriously jacked-up cancellation fees - over $300. They said I had 10 months to run on my contract and that was that. I explained that the bandwidth I got was unworkable and that I was no longer using the service - they said "too bad - you have to pay - we're not letting you out of the contract". It was cheaper to pay for 10 months than to pay the cancellation fee! I paid for the ten months then cancelled the service - at which time they added another fee of $80 for the piece of junk modem (probably cost $25) that I thought came free with the service. If only I could give zero stars and go back in time to check Yelp before signing up for DSL Extreme. My modem constantly went down (several times a week) and needed to be reset. The download speed was slow (which I knew going in), but the price not enough of a savings to justify the compromise so I cancelled the service. The cherry on top was that they saidI never returned their modem and charged me $90. My bad for not paying extra postage to certify delivery, but it's an injustice. If it's reasonable for me to prove that I mailed them the modem, then I think it's reasonable for DSL to do an audit of their warehouse and prove to me it's not there. Late notices would often arrive before the original bill. I'd call and ask how a bill can be late when it hasn't been sent yet. I was told that I should have sen tpayment when it was due whether a bill came or not. Huh?!? This is a terrible company to do business with. Looking up consumer protection agencies to start complaining to. I'm not letting them rip me off without a fight. read more

DSL Extreme is a nightmare! I tried them because Leo Laporte, The Tech Guy on the radio endorses them. Leo, you've been punked, you need to drop them as an advertiser! It took weeks to get the DSL service working. The main problem is they lease the DSL line from the local phone company (was Verizon, Frontier bought them out). So when I call in a trouble ticket, they have to deal with Frontier. Had to wait on hold an average of 10 minutes every time I called. I signed up for 3 Mbps, but rarely got above 1.5 which means Netflix is unusable due to constant buffering. Tech support eventually concluded that I am too far from Frontier's central office, so ask billing to adjust plan to 1.5 Mbps since they can't deliver 3.0 Mbps. Billing says they don't offer 1.5 Mbps plan. Go back to Tech support to get "disqualified" so that I can get out of the contract. This took many calls between Tech support and billing to finally get "disqualified" so that I could be released from the one year contract. Next, I called Charter for cable internet; got right through, signed up for 60 Mbps for $39.99 for the first year (normally $59.99), no contract. They did not try to up sell other services. Service was connected in a few days, It's reliable and smoking fast; Speedtest shows 66 Mbps. Why didn't I go with Charter in the first place? Why didn't I check Yelp first? read more

A few years ago I would have given them 5 stars without a doubt, but now they have fallen all the way down to one star. This company is just awful now. I remember when I had connection issues when I was with them a few years ago I got tech support that OMG, actually spoke English as a first language and knew what they were talking about. Unfortunately, that is not so anymore. I've been having connection issues for the past week, and I've called a couple of times now. Instead of some techy English speaking rep, I get treated to the pleasure of talking to people in some far away land. Yep, the've outsourced. If the language barrier wasn't problem enough, they are obviously reading from a script and have no idea whatsoever what they're talking about. My internet connection has been sporadic at best, and I was trying to explain this to the rep. She had me do a power cycle (even though I'm not stupid, that was the first thing I did before I even called, but whatever). Then, when that didn't work, she told me to remove the filter from the phone line going into the modem. You DON'T filter that connection to begin with. When I pointed that out to her she insisted I remove the filter. Also, she said something about a splitter. The phone line isn't on a splitter either. So, yeah, my issue wasn't resolved, and here I am a week later and the internet still keeps going in and out. I'm about to call again, but I'm afraid that'll just be another exercise in frustration, and I really don't have the heart to rip into some poor person whose just trying to do their job (even though they suck at it). Final statement: avoid this company like the plague. All of the goodwill they'd built up by having local, knowledgable tech support was erased the second they decided outsourcing would be a good idea. I tried cancelling for over two months and they still kept billing me because I was an idiot and didn't read the whole paperwork how to cancel properly. With that said the customer service sucked here because they didn't at least help me cancel they just strung me a long. I got busy with life and the fees racked up. I take responsibility but wish a company cared about people and has common sense to know that I've been calling in and taking action but no support just want the money for service to an empty home that was vacant for three months. Save yourself money and aggravation and Do NOT sign up with this company!!! DSL Extreme was my ISP for over 7 years and I was a fully satisfied customer until recently. They used to be dependable and had 24/7/365 qualified live tech service from the U.S. That's all changed. Now that they sold the company and have gone public -- prices have gone up and service has gone down. Now their call centers are located in the Philippines filled with unqualified staff who don't even answer their phones on weekends. I'm paying top-dollar for supposed high-speed broadband service and all I'm getting is dropped connections and excuses. No one at the company is able to resolve the issue. You call the customer service number and are put on perpetual-hold. I regret renewing my contract and will go through my AmEx to cancel my subscription. We had AT&T's Uverse for a year or so and it turned out to be a horrible experience. We always had issues with our connection and their technicians NEVER fixed it, blaming old wires or a faulty modem. Unfortunately for us, there is an AT&T monopoly in our building and our landlord did not allow any other provider. So our choice is literally non-existent. I decided to give DSL Extreme a try. They provided us with a really good modem/router (much better than what AT&T was constantly replacing) and we got double the speed for the money we paid to AT&T. It's been 7 months since we switched - not a single issue. I don't even restart our modem! (With AT&T I had to do it at least once in two days!) Been getting slow speed internet since we've got DSL Extreme, tried to troubleshoot it over the phone and they even sent out tech guy from AT&T to check on everything because they said AT&T owns the line, the slow speed problem has never been solved. I guess we just have to suck it up and change another internet provider as soon as the contract ends. I was a fan of DSLExtreme - I was one of their first customers. So happy to deal with them when the big companies were so hard to deal with. I would get personal service, people who cared and they were very customer oriented. I was actually happy to call and start up service again. However that happiness ended quickly. I was misled to thinking I was signing up for their fastest service ... it's not. I asked if I needed a land line, they said no - so why did they have to install one? The speed was too slow so I called to find a solution and the tech guys were very helpful. However after buying an Extender (on Amazon) they finally told me that I was actually getting the speed I had paid for. Even the tech guys knew it was slow. When I called I asked for the fastest speed but they suggested I start with one less and upgrade to 45Mbps if that was too slow. Now they tell me they can't offer me 45 - they can only upgrade me to 24. That's BS. And of course they aren't letting me out of my new contract. Not a fan anymore. STAY AWAY!!! I didn't read reviews when I first signed up, but boy I wish I had. The service was so-so, slow, no service at times...all that. But really thats not why I'm here writing this review... I cancelled service during the summer (August) last year because I was moving and I just wasn't pleased with the speed. I sent my modem back via UPS in early October and promptly lost my tracking number. I didn't hear anything until DECEMBER, a FINAL NOTICE at that, stating they hadn't received my modem! I called and went around and around with the service reps, they all repeated that I would have to pay if I didn't have the tracking number. I went to UPS and the manager was so kind to spend two days looking through pages and pages of shipments going out from their location (its a huge shipping center) and finally got back to me on December 22 with a packet of printouts with all the information I needed, including a signature from the receiver! I called DSL extreme right away and gave them the tracking number and they said my account was clear. Fast forward to TODAY, February 16 2011... I get a call from a collection agency saying my account is past due!!! WHAT?! Now I have to search my house and car for the packet I got from UPS in DECEMBER to send with a letter to this agency so I can stop being HARASSED by DSL Extreme. I am really careful with turning things in on time, paying bills and such, so to be sent to collections after the huge ordeal right before Christmas is INEXCUSABLE. If you are locked in a contract or not, run for your life at the first chance possible, make sure you return your modem with a huge effing sign taped to it with your customer account info and tape your tracking number to your fridge. YOU WILL NEED IT! They really deserve NO STARS, even NEGATIVE STARS, every rep I spoke with was rude and their record keeping is absolute sh*t. One great big headache after another for several months! My service was erratic at best. Every time I talked to someone in Level 2 Support, they thought they had my problem "figured out." They sent AT&T technicians to my house multiple times and changed out my modem three times within a month. Even those technicians thought they had fixed my problem, but NOT SO. The last one who was here said that there was nothing else he knew to do and suggested I push for a release from my contract without penalty. I finally talked to the Customer Service Supervisor, and she did what was necessary to get me released from my contract without penalty. I asked for some credit on my account, but all they gave me was less than one month's bill. They should have PAID ME to use their service because it was that bad. I won't even try to say how much time I've spent on the phone and with technicians at my house. My son-in-law in Texas tried to do some trouble shooting by doing a screen share, but my internet was so slow that we could not. Instead, I used my phone as a personal hotspot and was charged $30 overage by Verizon ($15 of which they cheerfully refunded). DSL would not even refund that. I did not get what I paid for, so I don't know why they would not be fair with me. I am so tired of all of this, that I just want to forget it. I now have Comcast Cable, and it works like a charm. I've only had to restart my modem twice which is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT, especially when restarting my DSL modem did not fix my problems. Horrible customer service. My promotional year was up and my rate jumped from $20 to $40. I called and cancelled immediately. The charge was on the 6th, I saw it on the 7th and cancelled. They said I would get a pro-rated refund for that month (since they bill in advance). Never happened. I had to file a charge-back with my credit card company. Unfortunately, my credit card company just issued the credit for $40 instead of charging DSL Extreme back the amount (because it was a small amount), so DSL Extreme got away with charging $40 and never providing service. Also, when I first got their service, I had told them I would be moving soon, if that was OK. They told me it was no problem. After one month, I moved and I called to set up service at my new address, they told me there was a $60 transfer fee. I told them I would never have started service for one month if I knew there was a $60 transfer fee. They said the fee was listed in their terms of service. It was either that or a higher cancellation fee. I will say that their actual internet service is fine, once it's up and running (which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1). But if you have any billing issues, forget about it. This company is so shady and has so many "gotchas" that you will always lose your money. read more

I was a DSLextreme customer for several years, and was really happy with the service. Prior to that I was an Earthlink customer. When Earthlink outsourced its tech support and customer service, I switched to DSLextreme because of their claim of local support and customer service and their lower prices. I was irritated when they switched to the gmail interface - I hate it! But it was a minor annoyance and the price was still better than everyone else. Then come to find out they've outsourced their tech support to "Asia", and its the same BS. People who barely speak English reading from a script....and if it requires anything besides a reboot, they haven't got a clue. I forgot to make a payment in December and got a notice saying I would be disconnected at Midnight if I didn't make a payment. I immediately made the payment, and when I got home that evening, I had no internet. Since I'd paid, I assumed it was a technical issue. Nope, they disconnected me even though I'd paid. It was "a glitch" according to the tech support person. But their Tech Support isn't able to turn service back on, one must call Customer Service during normal business hours to do that. Very, very inconvenient. What's the point of tech support if they can't actually do anything. And why should a customer have to call to get service turned back on if they've made the payment. You can't tell me that they can't program their systems to automatically turn service back on when a payment is received. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and was told none was available but they would have one call me back. Needless to say, I never received a callback. The next day I cancelled my service and went with a new provider. I was really happy to be dealing with a smaller, local business, but they had to go mess it up by outsourcing tech support. I have been a customer since about 2011. I have always canceled my service after the 1-year contract term in hopes of finding a better rate with a different provider. Trying to find a different provider, for the same speed tier and price was always a failure. I have always come back and signed up for another 1-year service term. This went on from 2011 to current. From 2011 to 2013, reliability was perfect. From 2013 to current, reliability, well, has gone to the shitter. Tons of service timeouts, no matter the device. Netflix streaming with DSL Extreme seems to have improved since the beginning of this year (it use to be constantly re-buffering). They allegedly cannot give a recurring discount or any discount for that matter. And insist to call technical support to help resolve this. Seriously?! WTF for?! My home networking hardware and configuration have not changed since 2011! The only thing changing is the modem that they supply each and every time. The problem is on their end, not mine! I am seriously thinking about defecting over to Cable Internet because these guys cannot get their shit together! All they are probably doing is leasing bandwidth from AT&T and Verizon and they cannot buy enough of it for everyones Internet experience to be a hiccup-free! read more

When trying to walk away from my large media conglomerate of an internet provider because a) they'd promised me a deal on 3 bundled services but then never bothered to activate the 3rd, thus charging me more and b) we realized just how freaking expensive they were, I had no idea on where to turn and asked everyone I knew for suggested provider. One person recommended DSL extreme after hearing a KFI DJ endorse them and another person I knew, who is a great deal shopper - but without compromising quality - said they were a great service with no hassles. I can vouch that in the 7 years that I had them a) the service was good and consistent, b) the only issue I had was with my lack of knowledge of installation but they were very capable of problem-solving and of advising how to fix things over the phone, c) not to mention how EASY it is to get a real person on the phone or via email without having to pull a fast one on an automated customer service program, d) and how human they are with every interaction. When I had to return my equipment at the end of my using their services and The Shipper lost the package, they had no problem waiting a few extra weeks and didn't charge my card for the lost goods til I confirmed it was really lost. My only complaint is that I moved 2 blocks down the street and was sad to learn that they didn't have coverage there at the levels I wanted (right now). I called and spoke to a Customer Service Rep with DSL Tech Support, whose name was Mike, at about 8:43pm on Tuesday 17th. After the previous rep "passed the buck" earlier that evening (the second of the three call I placed last night), and told me I had to call their billing department, Mike was AWESOME and, even though his shift was coming to an end, still stuck with the issue and got it resolved about 3 minute before his shift was over at 9:00pm. So happy to find someone who CARES about their job, as opposed to trying to pass you off to another department! So here's to you, Mike! Hope you get the recognition you richly deserve :) read more

Finally I switched my DSL ISP from ATT to to DSL Extreme. The reason why I switched? I received a letter from ATT that the company put me in 50GB per month data use. Although it took a week before my service was installed by DSL Extreme, I am now very satisfied with the fast connection with my 2 ROKU devices. My Sling TV works well and what an improvement! I can now tune in to CNN, TNT, AMC, etc with my Sling TV subscription. DSL Extreme uses the service of an ATT technician to switch over. The only negative is, I'm using ATT U-Verse modem to activate my DSL service. I have children who also enjoy Netflix and Amazon videos. The download of movies are very fast.
