I always have looked past it because I like the quality of the clothes. Today however I had an incident that may make me not return to the store or even support Torrid further. I am in the store and purchase an item. Then I ask the girl checking me out if they price match the online prices. At this point the sale is complete. She says they can but I would have had to do it before checking out. So I ask about exchanging the item for the lesser price. The manager comes over and says something about no they can't do that because of how the receipt runs in the system. So I left the store, I then turned and when back in to just return the item...I was told no, I can't return the item because their system won't have it processed for 24 hours. I left very frustrated. Number 1 that is the worst possible policy. So you mean to tell me if they made an error and rang something up twice and I catch it after I check out, they can't correct it for 24 hours? I find that hard to believe. Number 2 I called another store and was told the information I was given by the always unpleasant manager in McHenry was a LIE!! So needless to say, trying to scam your customers doesn't gain you any.

Asked for recommendations for a walking shoe for me, able to give me several options based on my use. Watched me walk in the shoes and made further helpful recommendations. No high pressure, pushy sales pitch. Showed me additional possibilities that were "buy one pair, get second pair half off". Ended up buying 2 pairs, one for each of us! Both of us have been wearing our new shoes for a week now - very comfortable, good support. A bit more expensive than we've ever paid for shoes in the past but we are happy with our purchase. She could see I was rather upset that i had made this mistake. However, she set my mind at ease by telling me she would check if they had the stock in her store and simply fill it there. I had gone to the new location for the first time a couple of days ago and I was greeted and aided with pristine customer service by the employees. However, it was evident that the manager was quite overbearing and hard to deal with when she was communicating with her employees. Additionally, when I asked her for help, she was extremely passive aggressive and implied that her job was more important than my request. Well a couple of months ago the zipper on one of the boots started to give me trouble. I was very upset because they were expensive and I spent the extra money to buy boots that would last. I got the zipper to work again and then today it completely broke. Well, I thought since the quality was good I'd bring them to a cobbler. Well, the closest cobbler is now 30 minutes away. So I thought I'd see what Lake Geneva Overland would say. They had 100% guarantee and replaced the boots. The was a nominal price difference feom when I bought the original pair. But as Gerald explained to me, they make high quality products and they back them and that should not have happened. My visit today exceeded my expectations and I will definitely continue to be loyal customer. In a world of products with declining quality it's nice to know someone still has our backs! I did nothing different in the 10 years I have had IBE extensions but they began falling out and my wefts started to fall. I called twice within 3 days with NO RESPONSE. this is not what I expected from a professional extension salon. UPDATE.
