Drinks are decent. Food is fair. Dominican bar with American and Hispanic meals. Nice place to hang and even dance to Spanish music.

The serves are so sweet to me, also the bartenders must be extra happy to work because the drinks hit every time. The food is always amazing and the DRINK'S never disappoint my friends and I!!! GET THE CANDY GUMMIES I PROMISE YOU'LL SMILE

Dubai Goblet!

WOW! What a find. F and I came to Dubai Restaurant and Lounge for TasteTrenton weekend. Dubai was one of 40 restaurants participating in the fantastic event. Dubai is a Dominican restaurant that has a full bar and kitchen as well as a back room lounge for dancing and private parties. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon so the place was relatively empty. By evening this place was jumping. We stuck with the special TasteTrenton menu which had drinks and food for $3-5. I highly recommend the Dubai Goblet (normally $15) is a performance in a glass. All the food options were delicious. And the service was stellar. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Bartender, Damian is a gem! We enjoyed our experience here so much we came back on Sunday! The place really started filling up with TasteTrenton participants...and TaDA! We had an inpromptu par-TAY! That's just how we roll here in TrentonNJ!

Had a great Friday night at Dubai. The space is a lot larger than it looks from the outside, and the tables were at a safe distance from each other. I would recommend making a reservation, especially with a larger party--I had a party of two and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We arrived a little before 9pm to get the happy hour deal of 2-for-1 drinks and $5 appetizers (weekdays between 5pm and 9pm). Service was fast and friendly. The bartender knew how to make a good mojito. We stayed for over 4 hours and didn't feel pressured to leave. Music was a major highlight--all of the latest reggaetón and Latin trap hits. The kitchen is open till midnight and the food menu was pretty extensive, mostly Puerto Rican and Dominican but with sushi and some Italian food on there as well. We ordered the maduros and tostones, and enjoyed both. Overall, I'd rank Dubai as one of the top places In Trenton to grab drinks and food and listen to some great music.

Dirty inside. Food is terrible. Owner is a CREEP. I feel bad for anyone that has ever been employed here.

GuateMex is a small Mexican/Guatemalan place that took over the spot Chencha y Chole once…read moreinhabited. The menu should still look pretty familiar, as it's got just about everything your standard Mexican place would have. The differences are subtle, as with the excellent tasting Chile Relleno--the Mexican version is chicken and cheese, while the Chapin version is filled with jalapeño and cheese. The fish tacos, as should be all fish tacos, use deep fried fish. Fish pieces were on the smaller size, but the taco was still sufficiently filled. Avocado, lettuce and chopped tomato round out the toppings, along with a choice of two tasty salsas. They were very similar to the fish tacos served by Chencha y Chole. Good as they were (I'd get them again in a heartbeat), La Casona still owns the top spot as having the best fish tacos in town. The Torta Milanese had all the usual ingredients, but the beans, avocado and even the chicken were layered much thinner than I've had elsewhere. The bread was better than most places, but overall the thinness of the ingredients reflected in the flavor. I'd pass on this one in the future. Words can't sufficiently describe how much I enjoyed GuateMex's Flautas. Mine were filled with carnitas, perfectly deep fried to a crunchy deliciousness, and the green sauce was the right call for the topping. Just killer good. Please, do not order these for home delivery if they're going to sit steaming in a box and lose the crunch--that would be criminal. Eat them there (they've tables!) or pick them up yourself. You'll thank me later. All in all, they're a welcome contributor to the Latin food scene in the area, and a place that I'll continue to return to in the future.

Small restaurant with few seating inside. Got the fish tacos(listed at $12.99 on the menu but was charged $14.99 before taxes). BEWARE OF THIS CHARGE INCREASE!!! Spoke with the lady owner about this and she tried explaining they haven't had time to update their menus and seemed annoyed when I asked for my $2 price difference. I understand things take time but no one likes to be blind sighted especially in this economy. Food quality- 8/10 for me. Very filling but the fish could have used some seasoning. Price- $15 for 3 tacos is expensive in my opinion. And with taxes ~$17. They have other menu items you can get maybe those come in bigger portions and worth the price. Not sure I'd be back tbh.

It had been more than a year since my last visit to Marty's Place. Time flies!…read more I was driving by this morning after court, having skipped breakfast at home in order to get a jump on traffic going into the city. I saw a new sign out front on a Bud Light white board that breakfast was now being served 7 days a week! Hot diggity! I parked out back and walked in to a mostly empty bar (2 customers who looked like they were regulars). The bartender approached and we engaged about their breakfast menu. It was pretty wide open if my desires had anything to do with eggs. They did. I opted for a sausage, egg and cheese on Kaiser roll, and mug of java. While it was being created in the kitchen I watched a show about exotic car auctions. A Borgati opening at a cool million bucks was an eye opener. Another black transport used by John Lennon around London was also put up and sold. Pretty cool entertainment. The sandwich was great! Double patty, fried egg, American cheese and a fresh, quality roll, made for a tasty and fun meal. The side of homefries was likewise excellent - hot, crisp and spicy with sautéed onions in the mix. Coffee, strong and kicking. The only shortcomings were the lack of a joe refill offering, and lack of utensils. Luckily, I had a spoon from the coffee, which was fine as a shovel. Afterall, Marty's is still a wonderful corner dive. It was made for comfort, not for speed, nor etiquette.

The omelette was delicious I just Didn't care for the tiny cubed potatoes bcz they were too well done like deep fried! Afterwards he bought us tiny little samples of homemade poundcake like pineapple upside down cake, caramel, and even a strawberry cheesecake flavor! We ordered a pierogi appetizer to share and some holiday cocktails to start. For entrees we had pork chops that were cooked to perfection and served over a sweet potato purée with a blackberry gastric. We also had the 7 fishes over linguine offered in red, white, hot or hot. I chose red hot. It was delicious with calamari, shrimp, lobster, mussels, clams, and fish. The penne vodka with sausage and peas was also delicious and a generous portion. The salmon dish was also excellent but had barely any risotto and 6 string beans. Overall, Blooming Grove is a favorite of our extended family and we visit fairly often. The only room for improvement is the portion size of some of the dishes in comparison to others.
