We enjoyed a late Sunday afternoon brunch, which goes until 3pm. They have an incentive brunch drink menu and a good selection of breakfast foods. The vegetarian selection is decent - not a ton of options on the main menu, but you have some choices. The staff was very nice and attentive and the place looks very hip. They have the "Cork Room" which you can reserve for parties, so great for large groups. read more

Today I went in to have lunch I wasn't really thirsty I wasn't really hungry but after looking at the menu saw what I wanted and it was a margarita pizza. Jake, a college educated bartender, got my drink, knew I don't use glasses with beers, and was a great conversationalist. Pizza came out it was a bar pie done perfectly ratio to sauce and cheese and mozzarella and you didn't have to share it with no one it was all yours! On TV was my favorite sport soccer Italian soccer I may not know the language but I know it a game and it's fun being at a place I love when no one bothers me after a stressful day I like it this way, beer and pizza together a perfect date for a hot Saturday afternoon!!!!! read more

The owner was horrible to his staff. The food was good (my meal at least) but I would never go back just based on that. This waitress had to serve an entire baseball team of 14 year old boys along with their families. She did it with such grace. Not to mention the kitchen forgot an order and the owner didn't even apologize for it. He was rude and cocky and just cared about his dollars that he was collecting. Total turn off. I'm slightly rounding up due to the great time a friend and I had here recently. We met for a drink to hopefully ease our Corona stress, and apparently many others were doing likewise this Thursday night. So much for social distancing. We grabbed the last 2 seats at the bar and were pleasantly surprised, a live band was playing tonight. Full disclosure, it was an oldies band, clarinet and upright bass. But hearing these classics in old school format was actually soothing. My friend had a cocktail made with ginger beer, she liked it and was happy with the size/ strength. I started with their tap hard cider, tasty but a bit sweet. I transitioned to a cherry wine sour, and thoroughly enjoyed. It appears that you can get tastes of a few things before choosing the size you'd like, good to know. As for the tap list, the 20 options were largely from local-ish breweries, most of which I haven't been too. This local focus impressed me and helped get that fourth star. We shared a pepperoni bar pie and it was good. I was informed by one of the very good bartenders that this business is owned by Brothers pizza which is just next door. The space itself is modern and casual, with a second room for private dining. I'd possibly try a happy hour special, but see this more as a place that a novice beer fan like myself can try a few things from breweries I might like to visit. I can't believe I haven't written a review for Blend yet! This is always a go to when meeting up with friends in the area. I prefer sitting outside when it is nice out, but our last time here we had to sit inside since it rains. Before our group met up, my friend said, I love Blend, but HATE the acoustics...and you know what??? She is absolutely right. I never really noticed because most of the time I try to sit outside...lol. But inside, when it is busy, which is almost all of the time, it is SO hard to hear each other. So I took one point off for that. But other than that, the service is always great. They have a GREAT tap list, including having Prosecco on tap. They have a little bit of everything, including regular pub food, and some interesting entrees and salads. They do have some vegan options as well. I shared nachos with my friend and they are always so good and plentiful. I usually sub the chicken for ground beef, but both ways are good. One of my friends got the boneless wings....they smelled so good. I had one and it was one of the best boneless wings I have had. Full of meat and juicy with great flavor. This is a solid choice if you are looking for a place that has good drinks and food. read more

Great experience for our work happy hour. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with frequent, terrific service. The beer selection is varied for flight samplers and the mixed drinks were well poured. The spinach artichoke dip appetizer was filling within the warm bread bowl and the empanadas were good. I can attest that the crab cake sandwich was also tasty. read more

I've been here many times over the years. The food and beer list are very good, deserving of 4 stars to me. The last star though I've added for the customer service/management. I recently found a gift card to here that had been misplaced. It was *very* old, and I really didn't expect them to still honor it. But I stopped in the other night figuring it was worth a shot, and the bartender didn't mind looking into it or calling her manager (who wasn't there at the time) to look it up and provide me the credit. I know the whole ordeal was a pain for them to process it, but she was very gracious about it. Used it to get a takeout order for me and my wife. I had the crab cakes, and she had the tuna bowl. We both enjoyed our meals. Definitely recommend. read more

Pre Covid I went to a beer festival sponsored by Blend Bar & Bistro (which I had never heard of) in Mercer County Park. We had a great time & I took note of the place because I wanted to check it out sometime. Well, Covid changed a lot of things, but I FINALLY got to take my daughters to Blend Bar & Bistro for dinner & craft drafts. The place is smaller than I expected & located on Route 33 in Hamilton. They have a tent outside which is not in use at the moment but it looked pretty inviting (except for all of the snow around; certainly no fault of theirs). Upon entering, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman (owner or manager I don't know but am sorry I didn't ask). Our temps were taken (simple way to unsure patrons aren't sick) & we were escorted to our table. Masks were worn by all & tables distanced. Our waitress, Beth, came over & greeted us taking our drink order. I inquired about a beer my daughter was having & she brought me a sample although I never asked for it. I like that. I ordered the Toscano Panini, which came with steak fries. I was tasty & hot. Several times, Beth came over to check on us as well as the gentlemen I mentioned earlier. The atmosphere here is fabulous & you feel like they are genuinely glad you're here. In fact, we drove quite a way just to check them out & I am glad we did. Synopsis: staff was awesome, beer was awesome, food was good. I would return in a heartbeat. And I hope Beth has a great time in 'my neck of the woods this weekend' as she indicated she was going there! read more

Sports bar vibe. Food and drink are good and staff are friendly. However, make sure you ask for prices on cocktails when you order a drink not on menu. Unjustifiably expensive. Surprised by $23 charge for a Manhattan where the same cocktail with same brand bourbon at any higher end restaurant would cost $15-16. I guess shame on me for not asking? . read more

I have to increase my rating for Blend to 4 stars because we've had some really good times here! First, the beer selection is pretty darn good, so that's always a plus. Service is usually on point and I really like the crab cakes, although I wish the portion size was a little larger (or that they included something more caloric on the side, haha). My wife really loves the decaf coffee and they always prepare it hot for her, which she appreciates. Overall, we will definitely be back at Blend! read more

Was an attendee at a large birthday party here over the weekend. Blend seems to have been making a concerted effort at advertising the new improvements occurring there, including their updated kitchen space and menu and new space that they've expanded into. The good news is that these are improvements, the new room dramatically increases the available space (although it was too small for our group), and the menu has improved from absolutely dreadful to mixed bag of mostly mediocre fare. Okay, they're not BIG improvements, but they are improvements. Dinner at the party was a fixed menu. The evening started with charcuterie plates, which were nicely presented, but were of questionable quality. This was followed by a mixed green salad that was literally just a giant bowl of mixed greens; no other vegetables, toppings or dressing. Small cups of dressing did come out about ten minutes later, but it did very little to improve the situation. Next came the beef empanada platter, which were surprisingly good and served with a side of queso. These were followed by a very underwhelming platter of rigatoni a la vodka: pasta overdone and sauce lacking much flavor. Finally, sausage with peppers and onions were served as the final entree. This can be an oily dish by nature, but this version was over the top oily, and the split sausages were gritty and lacking in flavor. Finally came birthday cake and a dessert plate of mini-cannoli and apple empanadas. All the desserts were excellent, but I'm not sure the cake came from Bistro. Where the food fell flat, the service was even worse. Inattentive and disinterested with numerous errors all about. When some table-mates had the audacity to ask for forks to eat the cake with, they were met with a side eye that would make a Jr. High Cheer Captain blush. They also managed to lose one of the party goers credit cards and proceeded to blame the guest for the oversight. Not good. So, would I ever go back to Blend for a meal? Almost certainly not. They do have a pretty decent selection of craft beer on hand, so under the right circumstances I might stop by for a drink or two. As it stands right now, Blend doesn't seem quite sure what it is, and the end result is indicative of that. read more

We've been going to Blend for a while and have always enjoyed it. We went for brunch today and I ordered the avocado stuffed with eggs. I have a dairy allergy so I've always just asked the cook to omit the cheese which they've always done. Today, the cook went to get vegan cheese from Brother's Pizza so that he could offer me a cheese like option. I was so excited. They added the cheese and it was delicious. The cook was so thoughtful and it was greatly appreciated. Jess was our waitress today and she went above and beyond as well. We will keep returning to Blend. read more

I'll start with this disclaimer: I review restaurants/bars as what they are NOT what I want them to be. Blend is a bar with a great beer selection on tap, sangria, hard alcohol and some pretty good food. They even have packaged goods for your convenience. It is a little loud. If you're looking for a quiet little spot to sip a drink and have a conversation, it might not be for you (and don't penalize them on Yelp because it's not what you were looking for... that's not fair). It's a classic bar atmosphere. There's music playing and people enjoying each other's company while talking over the music. Some reviewers call it "hipster" but the clientele is very diverse. Anyone would feel comfortable here. By chance, we sat down next to one of the owners, Antonio, last night. Struck up a great conversation and hung out for a few hours. We had some great beers and the nachos were on point. He even shared some of the Sticky Bacon with us which was CRAZY good. It turned out to be a great night because that was exactly the vibe and experience that we were looking for.... Blend seems to be growing and understanding what works for them. They have a niche. Really enjoyed this place. Was here with my friend who is a local. The bar staff were great and very attentive. They have an excellent selection of beer and wine. The owner was in house the day we were there and was kind enough to share his thoughts around good wine and spirits. We order lunch and it was good as well. Blend was my friend's choice for an after-dinner drink. He claimed they had one of the best craft beer lists in the area. I chose a Weyerbacher Canis Minor from their numbered list and was quite happy with my selection. I thought this was a fairly average place overall. It didn't really have any character to it. You pull into a strip mall (okay, okay, it's in Jersey -- I'll cut it a break there), walk in, and first see a fridge of beers for purchase. That's cool. Then you come to tables and the bar. TVs overhead. Nothing compelling. Plus, our server came to the table several times to ask if we needed anything... to the point that it was almost annoying. Just let me enjoy my beer! I suppose if I lived in the Trenton/Hamilton Square area, I'd have a different opinion. But for now, I'll pass on a return visit. read more

First time here and we came from Rat's so there is no comparison ... Not a bad spot to get a drink and a small bite to eat. Don't go for an impressive menu, but the beer selection is pretty good. The wives were not eating but we got a mushroom & pepperoni pizza as well as a Spicy Grilled Cheese - not bad at all. If you love your craft beers, Blend could warrant additional stars, as there is a huge selection on draft and in bottles. If beer is more of a background music for your meal or social life, three stars is about right. I stopped in this week for a light lunch and sat at the bar with a couple of other dudes. I went with their on tap Apple Cider and the Special Salad. At $6.50 for the large glass of cider I realized that I should stick to drinking water with lunch. It just adds to much expense to the meal at midday. It was fine, but in no way distinguished. My salad was pretty good, with a variety of greens and Grilled Chicken. There was plenty to eat and I was satisfied with both taste and quality. The $9. was probably a bit above the value quotient, but I have no real complaint about it. Service was friendly and timely. $5 Bar Pies @ Happy Hour might draw me back for a second look, but otherwise this is not a place I would frequent for lunch. read more

Overall a 3 for me. Based on beer selection alone, more like a 5. Their selection of craft beers is extensive and exciting!! When my local friend suggested we go for happy hour I was indifferent and rolled along. From the outside, I was definitely expecting more a divey vibe, but the place is really nice inside with a decent bar and high tops. The staff was very friendly and conversational. Their menu seemed alright, we only ordered a couple munchies. But the tomato and mozzarella was great with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and pita bread. Their drink menu had lots of specialty cocktails, martinis and beer cocktails too. Last night we went for some drinks and I was shocked to find out they charge a corkage fee when buying a bottle of wine. This is a bar, not a fancy upscale byob. I had my own wine opener from a previous visit to a byob and would have gladly opened the bottle myself, had I been made aware of the charge prior to them serving our table the bottle. Rude workers! I didn't even get a chance to try it because my friend and I were ignored. We walked in and sat at a table, 15 minutes later we had to go up and ask for menus, the woman Bartender was very rude, not even a hi from her, but then a guy walked in and she was super friendly to him. We sat back down at the table with the menus and 20 minutes later decided to just leave because nobody was coming over to us. Left Blend and had a wonderful meal at Jo-Jo's down the road. I don't understand how places like Blend can even stay open, not very crowded and still can't get service. I will never be back. read more

Before I asked, I had two samples in front of me that matched my flavor profile. Unfortunately, the food really was not very good as it tasted like heated up frozen food. I met a couple old friends for drinks here on Monday night and did not know much about this place other than the fact that they just opened up. They are located right next door to Brothers Pizza on Rt 33. The building has a nice modern stucco'd look to it. Walking in revealed a very open and airy feeling space, not cramped at all. There was no hostess to greet us upon walking in so we grabbed the closest table available. Within a minute we were greeted by our very friendly waitress. My friend and I decided to order drinks while we waited for our 3rd to get there. The beer menu was IMPRESSIVE, especially compared to other bars in the area. If you've read any of my other reviews you know that the way to my heart is a great draft beer selection and this place more than accommodated that. I decided to start off with the Victory Hop Devil and it tasted great! When our other friend arrived, we went ahead and ordered food. The food menu is limited which is what we expected since they clearly state that on their website. This wasn't a problem for us. I decided to go for the bar pie and my friends ordered the corn nuggets and boneless wings. Everything was very good. The bar pie tasted very much like Brothers Pizza's pie which I also like a lot, and I realized just before writing this review that it might be the same owner. Overall I am very happy with this place. It's the perfect place to go for drinks and apps, the atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly and the food is good.
