Both Dr Lau and Dr Wu are very gentle. They replaced a crown at the back of my mouth. It was very well done with almost no pain. They referred me to an endodontics office for the root canal part. Everyone at the office is very professional and friendly. They don't have the most up-to-date equipment though (such as x-ray machine in my previous dentist office where I stood up and the machine would go around me to take full mouth image). However, I prefer Radiant Family Dentistry than the old place. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Wu for over 7 years if I remembered correctly and if it's a little longer or shorter, it's because I've been her patient for so long that I don't recalled the exact date of my first visit. I've been to ALOT of dentists my entire life, probably more than 10 or 15, but she is definitely the best and the most talented, gentle and skillful dentist I've ever had. In fact, she is our family dentist as my parents also see her. Over the years, my office visits have always been on time. I rarely have to wait for more than 5 minutes. She does the teeth cleaning herself (unlike a lot of places who hires a dental hygienist to do it) and she excels at it. I have sensitive teeth so she uses the ultrasonic scaling equipment minimally and then finishes the job by hand scaling. She is very attention to detail and makes sure each tooth is cleaned properly without any discomfort. I've had multiple fillings done in the past and she's super gentle with novocaine injections. You can barely feel the needle. My fillings always come out perfect and the adjustment period is short. My parents rave about Dr. Wu and her amazing skills as well. They've had a lot of complicated dental work done with her and she has never disappointed them. They always leave completely satisfied and happy. Dr. Wu also has great bedside manners and she is fluent in multiple languages. Her explanations are thorough when further dental work is needed beyond the basic cleaning. Found them through my employer when my other dentist was dropped from my Insurance. We've been twice, so far they provide great and affordable service. It was little questionable today when we arrived early for our appointment, but still waited 10 & 20 minutes past our appointment times before being brought back, and then spent more time waiting in the chair for the dentist - but another family came in after us, and were each immediately brought back and left before we were done. Only other detractor - the lobby can get quite loud, it's a small space. Again, the space is clean, the staff is very kind and helpful. Could have been better. However, this Dentist is a 1/5 stars, because of their lack of expertise in root canal treatment, and in crowning or repairing a cracked tooth. Also, this dentist has no knowledge about Endodontics. This dentist was very quick to take in appointment for tooth evaluation and X-Ray. However, the fast speed for appointment was a hopeless experience. Because this dentist's evaluation and suggestion was only a specialist in teeth extraction and in pulling out tooth, leaving a ho in patient's mouth, and after extraction, their ideas was to re-pin teeth, re-planting teeth back into the hole after tooth extraction. That is stupid. This is all too painful, creates more damage, more bone losses, and this dentist has no intelligence to cap a crown or a designer's gemstone jewelry teeth. The consequences of this evaluation and this suggestion made by this dentist at this place is too awful, dirty, painful, and everything to "not" be agreed to go forward with any of this dentist's suggestions; only resulted in a 1 star. Because this dentist is not professional enough. Is not skillful enough. And this dentist has no referrals with an Endodontics, and especially, has no referrals with a general dentist that can make a crown. I would have to seek for other dentists and book an appointment with a different dentist who specializes in Endodontics. Especially, find some other dentist who has a 3D X-Ray CT scan. This dentist did not seem to be a top notch professional. It is not lucky to move forward with this dentist. No body is going to feel good for using this dentist. It's a very bad conceded dentist who doesn't understand that every body needs a happier happy smile. And get some established prettier feeling from a dentist's with legitimate skills. No body is going to look good from this conceded dentist who doesn't have the proper dentist intelligence to kap cap a designer's gemstone jewelry teeth. I don't feel lucky and beautiful with this kind of dentist. Therefore, this dentist and their office is only a 1 out of 5 stars. Because there are plenty of over qualified dentist out there who has the proper skills and who has the willpower to help out than this dentist. Especially, I know my situation would have been experienced by many small elementary children with toothache already. And disappointedly, a dentist scam for showing off an establishment's address to be nearby a 99 Ranch Supermarket and across from the Big Lots of the small Dollar Tree stores and what used to be "Toys R Us" and is located to the nearby cars, tire wheels, and the many different parts and services, and the nearby different car dealerships' lots with car rentals and the Goodwill and Daiso stores nearby the fitness center and nearby the Big Lots. From such a distractive shopping place, this dentist has shown bad concentration and no desire to be a professional dentist. Why bother being a dentist you claimed to be when you don't have it in you? You show off a very nice looking video about yourself on a website and a UC degree, with lots of 5/5 stars reviews by others who seem related to you. However, maybe no one had shown the truthful light on you to tell you that you are not the best dentist and there are some skills you don't have in you. After your interaction with me, you do know that you do lack some education and you do have some missing skills, especially, one of your dental assistant was asking me and talking to me to help her make a personal teeth guard for her own personal situation. From a patient to a dentist practitioner, when a dentist practitioner asked a patient to help do that for a dentist, on the day of an appointment when that appointment is for helping the patient, you have considered to be "not" qualified enough to be a dentist for the patient. Just wanted to tell you that the field of dentistry is not about collecting 5/5 stars, however, you should know that a 1/5 stars could only help guide you to become a better dentist professional. Sorry, you failed to be a good dentist to me. You have only strived successfully to look perfect, from your website, and from countless reviews. When it came to trying out your services for real, you're not professional enough. I am not lucky to be have been seen by you. I am not special enough to help you, because you got a lot to catch up on. What I love about radiant dentistry is the thoroughness with which the doctors clean your teeth. They SPEND TIME cleaning your teeth like they actually care rather than my previous place where it felt perfunctory. I feel so happy sitting in that chair as they carefully yet throughly scrap at each tooth. I wish I could go once a month!! But don't get me wrong - they are very efficient! I'm usually seen immediately and I'm out of there in 35 min!! They just spend like 20 min of that time actually INTENTIONALLY cleaning. That's the ideal case from a regular cleaning imo. At my previous dentist, I had to budget an hour and a half just for a regular cleaning because I always had to wait to be seen, wait in between the X ray, the cleaning, and the flossing/polishing. Radiant Family Dentistry is one of the best dental office that we have went to. Our experiences are with Dr. Wu and staff. Dr. Wu is extremely diligent, detailed, caring, and gentle when doing our check up and cleaning. This is especially important for us since we have two daughters and from a very young age they have already feared going to the dentist. One of our daughter has abnormally soft teeth and every time Dr. Wu would rather spend the extra time to lessen the discomfort for her fillings rather than just rushing to get the job done. Radiant uses text and email reminder system for appointments. The front desk staff and dental hygienists are extremely nice and always on top of things. The office is kept clean and organized. For the pandemic they have multiple air filtration machines in each area of the office. Before Dr. Wu we went to a pediatric dentistry in Livermore but it seems as though the doctors and staff only want to get us in and out asap so they can bill our insurance/us. They would often double book their appointments and things were never on time, but they expect you to be there waiting or they will cancel your appointment right away. Staff are polite and nice when checking in. They are willing to answer questions when I am not too sure on the medical questionnaire. And it's really convenient to have it done on a tablet! Dr. Lau was my long time dentist before I recently moved to Southern California. When it came time for my kid to have her first dental appointment and I wasn't sure where to go, I reached out to Dr. Lau and learned that she also took young children as patients. She was able to fit us into her schedule even though we were just in town for the holidays. When we arrived my 2 year old was super apprehensive about going to the dentist, but Dr. Lau was patient and kind. She turned on my kids favorite TV show on the screen above and told my daughter to relax. My kid was focused on the show and didn't even pay attention to what the dentist was doing and that Dr Lau was trying to teach her how to brush her teeth. I had to extract a protruding wisdom tooth and they were able to take me in immediately and operate efficiently. My elderly mother needed her false tooth replaced (it's screwed in and broke off). The dentist who examined my mom was so nice and understanding, explaining everything to her in Mandarin and to me in Cantonese. She recommended dental implants instead but this is a service they do not provide so gave us referrals. It is a multi-stage process and Radiant can perform some of it but not all. We ultimately ended up somewhere else (due to insurance eligibility) but the staff here gave me their time over many phone calls explaining everything and were always patient and nice about the details. Even though we ultimately didn't even give them any business! I can't say enough about how sweet, caring and wonderful they were to my mom and to me. If my current dentist steps out of line, I will totally switch and bring my business here! read more

Hands down, DR. LAU IS THE BEST DENTIST EVER. I'll be honest, like most people, I have dentist anxiety. I always feel exhausted after going to a dentist because I'm so tensed up and nervous about just having drills in my mouth and getting my mouth numbed up. But I can honestly say that Dr. Lau is gentler and it feels like she's less invasive than any other dentist I've ever gone to. She also offers to turn on any netflix show I want to watch, which definitely helps with my anxiety because I'm able to fixate on a show rather than what's going on during my procedure. Dr. Lau found that my previous root canal was done improperly. There was literally a metal screw in there that was loose and causing my crown to fall off. She was so responsive and managed to get it fixed with in 2 weeks (it took longer because of the porcelain crown that had to be made). My root canal doesn't even hurt anymore. I didn't even need ibuprofen after the procedure she completed. I've referred everyone I know to Dr. Lau and I'll probably continue to do so. She's amazing~~~! read more

I went in for both teeth cleaning and whitening due to their latest promotion for new clients. Making an appointment on their website was easy and very straight forward. I made a request after business hours so I got a call the next morning and schedule my appointment for the very next day! Once I got in, the normal paperwork was quick and I got to see Dr. Lau. She was very nice and told me exactly what she was going to do and if she had any future concerns for my teeth. No cavities! The cleaning was painless and in the comfort of watching their tv that was mounted on their ceiling, which was awesome! After the cleaning, went straight into the whitening portion. It was very quick when she was prepping me and I sat with the light on my teeth for about 30 min. Those 30 min flew by because I was watching tv the entire time haha. Dr.Lau is amazing! I have been going to her for two years for teeth cleaning and had a filling fixed. She was always ready for me during my appointments. No long waits and she pays attention to my needs. She doesn't pressure me into doing anything I am not uncomfortable with. I highly recommend her if you need a new dentist. All my visits with her were painless and very fast. It's at a great location right off the 580 highway. There is always parking available. The office is very clean and bright. Makes you forget that you're in a dental office. Also, there is a cool feature on the patient chairs where there is a tv to watch while you get your teeth done.
