I wish I could give zero stars. My husband had a terrible experience with this dental office--they are incompetent and push unnecessary procedures. He emailed and called multiple times to get his dental X-rays but received no response. When he finally reached them, they didn't even send all his records, forcing his new dentist to take a new set. They also recommended numerous inlays and fillings, which we now realize were unnecessary--another dentist confirmed this. He did get one onlay done with them, but it fell off just four months later. When we called their emergency line on a Saturday, no one even responded or followed up even days later. The onlay cracked a few days later. Another dentist confirmed that putting an onlay on a molar is generally bad practice for someone who grinds and it's inevitable for the onlay to crack. Even the process of getting the onlay was a nightmare--every appointment was delayed, and their poor technique made the procedure take much longer than necessary. Now, because of their incompetence, a larger part of his tooth has been removed unnecessarily, and the onlay is cracked. This entire experience has been disappointing, frustrating, and expensive. read more

3 weeks before an appointment, I received a letter from Pleasanton Valley Dental, telling me that Delta Dental didn't pay their share of the bill so I am no longer a patient and they are transferring me to another Delta Dental provider. I didn't even get a phone call or email. The letter is dated 2/25/21 and states that I am being informed that "as of 2/24/21 we have transferred you out of our office". I've paid all bills that they submitted to me but they claim Delta Dental isn't paying their share. I think this is very nonprofessional. read more

Dr. DeVinney had sold the practice without letting any of his clients know. I found this very unprofessional. However, when it changed from Amador Dental to Pleasanton Valley Dental, I kept my appointments. But they upsell you on EVERYTHING! If they recommend you a procedure, get a second opinion. The dentist I saw said I needed a whole crown and needed to get a chipped tooth taken care of, and that both were necessary. These were going to be very pricey of course. So I got a second opinion from my dad's dentist, who said she never even SAW a cavity on the tooth Pleasanton Valley mentioned. The second opinion took 30 minutes to examine the one tooth in question, while the whole Pleasanton Valley appointment took 30 minutes for an overall examination. When I called again for Pleasanton, asking what they think they saw, they said the used AI to detect there was a cavity. First off, this was not said to me. Secondly, haven't we learned that AI isn't capable of everything yet?? My new dentist in Fremont said there was no soft spot on that tooth. If Pleasanton had JUST poked around a little bit they would see there was not decay. Safe to say I left and won't be going back. :) read more

The staff is so friendly and really want to make sure you understand the treatment you need and address all of your concerns. They also really work with my schedule for appointments. AND they even remember my name and lots of things about me whenever I come in which makes it a super personable experience! I love it here! I finally found my Dentist. YAY! Dr. Pandher is amazing. She is so friendly and always makes sure I'm comfortable. I love how she explains the process as she's doing it and she constantly checks in so that I'm never in pain. I've visited 3 times already, since it's been AGES since I've been to the dentist. She's fixed my old fillings, did my deep cleaning, and made sure my teeth look good as new! I almost don't want to share this review because I don't want her to get TOO booked, but she deserves the recognition. ALSO, her entire staff has been nothing but friendly and professional. Dr. Pandher is a thorough professional!! She explained very clearly and in full detail what she saw in the X-Rays and what the treatment plan is going to be and at every visit she makes it a point to talk to me about every step she was going to do before starting and during the treatment ...which gave me a lot of confidence and made me relax & ease into that dentist chair( which I've dreaded for the longest time)!! We have been very pleased with Dr. Pandher since she began work in this office. I recently had a crown and two fillings. Throughout the procedure, the doctor and her staff were very conscientious; letting me know exactly what I'd be undergoing. Dr. Pandher and her staff are extremely pleasant, friendly, and professional. They answer every question with a smile and are extremely thorough. There are never any 'surprises' and everything is spelled out clearly as to what to expect during and after any cleaning or dental procedure. Staff is extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Unlike several other Dental offices, Im taken in and worked on within 5-10 minutes of my appointment time as opposed to waiting and then waiting some more. Everyone works together to try to make the visit as easy going as possible. The location is clean and the staff constantly washes their hands and switches gloves. I've been going to Dr. Pandher's ever since my previous dentist switched owners and I have been very pleased with the staff and thoroughness of them all. Alicia is usually my hygienist and she is a perfectionist, then as always Dr. Pandher will come in after my cleaning to check on any teeth and she's very quick to spot out any issues or anything that would possibly become an issue later on. Susan works at the front desk but will sometimes come to the back and help, she is very friendly and charismatic. My experience here was great from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I felt welcomed immediately. The receptionist Susan was very nice and the assistant Heaven was great at taking my x-rays. The doctor was very informing on all my planned treatment and I did not feel rushed out of the dental chair.
