So we bought a trophy (elsewhere) over a decade ago, with a custom base that said "family member of the year", that we put in our annual holiday white elephant/yankee swap party. (Whoever "wins" it, has to put in the swap the following year). Anyway, the statue was very heavy metal figure, on a kinda cheezy hollow plastic base. Well this year, the base cracked. I thought I'd have to replace the whole trophy, but I brought it to Dublin Trophy House, and they were able to replace the cracked plastic base, with a heavy solid wood base, that will last forever. Bonus points--they were able to re-use the original brass plaque, saving us some engraving costs. They also finished the project a day or two ahead of schedule! Went in on Monday and asked if it was possible to pickup anything on Friday. Was told it was not an issue and gave in stock options. Just picked up my Medals, horribly scratched and with the wrong color ribbon. I was told they sold out durring the week? Is that not worth a phone call to the customer? Then he said he was doing me a favor by taking a rush order. This was the first location I called and since they said no problem, I didn't even bother checking elsewhere. His remedy was to refund and take back the medals, except how am I going to get a new option in 24 hours? In addition to the scratches and wrong color, the engraving is not done in 3 lines like he described. It was done in 2 lines and looks very odd. I came yesterday to get a 4x6 plate made for a San Jose fire inspector for his retirement party today! My husband called the day before Wednesday's to ask if he'd be able to do it! Now I went into the shop spoke with Jeff and I was very disappointed by the way I was treated . Second to none customer service!! I had to order some medals for my six grade son's basketball team and the turnaround time was great! Had to pick it up on Friday before Saturday's game. My husband and I dropped off a nameplate three weeks ago to be engraved. When we went back today, first, the older woman couldn't find our order, and as we really needed the nameplate, we pressed her to look again, giving her our name at least 3x. She then found the plate but, after sitting there for 3 weeks, it hadn't even been touched. She wasn't apologetic in the least, didn't seem to care that we were inconvenienced and forgotten about. She simply shrugged and said they were getting a lot of orders. I look young, so I'm fairly certain when we dropped it off she didn't take us seriously. So we took the plate back, took it over to Pleasanton and had it done there. It may have only been $15 they lost out on, but now I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there. read more

Jeff Salinas has been handling the Annual Red, Blue & Gold Awards Banquet awards production for a long time and our excellent experiences mirror the other reports shown here. However, around 6:30pm last Friday evening, as we opened the Blackhawk Auto Museum for the 20th Annual Red, Blue & Gold Banquet honoring 13 police, fire and safety officers, we discovered that no one had picked up the trophies needed for our 8pm presentations. Well deserved 5 Stars! Emailed Jeff a picture of "The" Fantasy Football Trophy with a couple of adjustments. How'd it turn out? Presented this trophy to the winner and the man lifted it up above his head in a restaurant. We're talking about a head turning/I want trophy. I am quite upset with the service I received from the owner of this place. I do not recommend this place at all. I ordered invitations for my wedding at the beginning of April and I spend almost a month without receiving any response from owner Jeff Allan when my invitations would be ready. I called him on repeated occasions and only once did he respond saying that he would call me later. I left several voice mails and sent several emails and received no response. If he could not or did not have time to carry out my order, he should have told me instead of making me wait so long. In the end I decided to make my order with another company that will give me my invitations in a week. To date Jeff has not returned any of my calls or to offer an apology for the lack of responsibility he had with my order. read more

Like some other reviews, I too wasn't initially impressed with my experience. I came in after hours to submit my order for only 2 trophies. Jeff (owner) ended up leaving earlier than he told me and someone else helped me out. They did stay open 30 extra minutes for me. I REALLY appreciated that! I ended up giving 4 stars because even though they didn't have my trophies done on time, I felt like the owner was a stand up business guy and made the best of the situation. The trophies were priced well...but I would suggest giving more than 1 week notice and possibly call a couple days before order is due to make sure they are completed with engraving on time. read more

I was reading the earlier reviews and have to say my experience is a total contrast. I've placed orders with Dublin Trophy House over the last two years. On both occasions they've gone the extra length to make sure I'm satisfied. The last order was a rush with the quantities changing on the fly until two days before the trophies were to be ready. Since we were unable to pickup the trophies during normal business hours, Jeff and his team made a special arrangement to open the store for us on Sunday to make sure we had the trophies before the event. That's putting customers first and providing great service. I've talked to some team parents for some of the local sports teams and have heard similar customer service stories from them as well. Jeff is a lifesaver! My son broke my sister in law's cake topper for her wedding cake, the DAY BEFORE her wedding in San Francisco. She didn't ask for my help much through out her planning process although I offered many times (she's one of those do it herself kind-a-girls) when Friday approached (the day before the wedding) the ONE and ONLY thing she asked from me was to pick up her cake topper from Dana's Party Planet in Castro Valley. Of course, I told her no problem and did so. As I was leaving Dana's, my son wanted my car keys and started to throw a little fit and "snap" there goes the cake topper! A delicate glass/mirrored "R" I almost had a heart attack! I rushed back into Dana's to see if they had anymore or if there was anything they could do for me. The "R" was specially ordered and no chance in getting another one. The man who works there in the engraving section tried very hard to help me and fix the broken "R" he was unsuccessful. Now, the "R" has glue marks all over it with glue finger prints....it was a mess! After running around to Michael's, TAP plastic's, other craft stores...no luck! Time was ticking and I had to be in San Francisco that night to help with my bridal party duties! With the help of my wonderful sister, she called around for me and found out about Dublin Trophy House. She spoke with Jeff for me and he told us to come on in and he'd try and help, but they close at 5-5:30pm. It was 4:30pm =( My sister and I jumped on the freeway from San Leandro and low and behold...dead stop traffic! We were NEVER going to make it. We called Jeff and he was working with us, he said he'd stay til we got there...who does that? Jeff does, that's who! Finally we get there at 5:35pm...I showed him my problem explained my dilemma...and he with NO hesitation said let me see what I could do. He took the broken "R" in the back and after maybe 20-30 minutes he came back out with a mock up...it was beautiful! I told him, go for it...with the mirrored plastic I bought from TAP plastics he took it in the back and worked his magic! When he was all done, it was even prettier then the one from Dana's!!! I was so happy and he truly saved the day...better yet saved my a$#! He was so helpful and I am forever thankful!!! And, the best part of it all, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg...Thanks Jeff!!! read more

I've been there twice and both times the lady who takes the orders messed up my initial request. After filling out a new form and emailing Jeff to confirm, my order was still not ready when it was promised. Last year he went in the back and did it in 10 minutes when I showed up to pick up- after telling me the job would take 5 days! This year, when my order wasn't ready, I took it to the mall to Things Remembered where they completed the job in less than a day and for a lower price. I'm all for supporting small businesses but not when they can't deliver. read more

There is no need to 'shop around' when dealing with the Dublin Trophy House because the prices have always been more than reasonable. I've been a customer since 2002 and I've never been an ounce less than impressed with the quality and care that goes into the work. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING Jeff and his whole company is. I reached out to him all the way from Houston in search of acrylic wedding invitations. My original invitation plan had fallen through and even though I had my heart set on acrylic invites I didn't think they would be possible and definitely not inside my budget or short timeline. After replying to Jeff's response to my original email and informing him I wouldn't be able to use him as they were outside of my budget, he not only worked with me on my budget, he worked on me on my timeline!
