What a great jewelry store! I needed batteries replaced in a couple of my watches. Can't believe how hard it was to find a place that does this and at a reasonable price. Poor experience that lasted for nearly 15 months. I wanted to sell my wedding ring, which Dublin Jewelers said they could do. I was in no rush, nor expecting to get the full appraised price. However, there was a lack of follow-up for months after several emails and calls. Or I would get a call from the owner just to tell me he is working on it and would call me the following week to complete everything. Then that week would come and no call again. I finally picked up my ring because I didn't want to keep hassling the owner for updates after 15 months. When I picked up my ring, the GIA paperwork was missing and they couldn't get the GIA number off the ring. Frustrating experience all around. read more

I had a ring concept in my head that I wanted designed based on a family ring and Raj and the two Pams could not have been more helpful. This was a complicated ring design with many different colored stones and I was VERY picky about the colors and design. I must have had Pam send the stones back 3-4 times before they were exactly right and I never once got an eye roll or sigh like I was being a pain to them. They wanted me to be happy. Pam and Raj walked me through all the steps of what it would take and I enjoyed going through the design process with them. Both of the Pams are very knowledgeable. I had the worst interaction here. My son and I came in to get a quote on some gold items I had. To be fair it was close to the end of day and the lady working did say she was not sure the gold man would be back before close. She then offered to get us an idea of what it was worth. After very condescendingly looking at us and the small items we had she began looking for the standard gold stamps. She explained to me that all items should have a stamp. I let he know I was very aware of this practice. She then asked "how much are you looking to get?" I looked puzzled and stated, "I don't know the weight and I'm looking for fair market value". She then said again, "what are you looking to get $100, $200, what number are you looking for?" I knew then this was NOT the place for me. I was not "hard up" for funds. I had items I no long wore in my box and figured it was a good time to exchange them out. I said again, "fair market value". She then took our items across the room to weight them. She never showed us the weight but called out a number and said it's only worth about $150 at best as it was "junk gold". I then told her I'd like my items back. She put them in a different bag that I originally handed her and gave it to me, stating again, " I'm not the official guy so you might not even get that much but he should be in tomorrow " I left feeling I was just treated with great disrespect and a week later I went to another establishment. I was dealt with wonderfully. It was all done in front of me. No moving my items away from me to weigh them. He looked for stamps and did scratch tests. It was worth over $500. He explained "their cut" etc and I walked out for over $400 in my hands. A very different experience. I was never asked "how much I wanted". I was not disrespected. My son felt the difference of the two places and 10 years old he know something was not right at Dublin Jewelers. We will never step foot in this location again. I'll tell those that ask me about our local jewelry shop my experience. I'll refer them elsewhere. Trust is hard to get back. It might just be this one employee but over all this experience was just beyond sour. read more

I purchased a beautiful 1 carat almost flawless lab produced diamond and it was gorgeous. So yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the day I proposed to my wife. It dawned on me at about noon that we still have the diamond from her original engagement ring. Thief!!! Warning to all: LIAR! Writes and gives out FAKE diamond reports! My wedding ring was made here, he provided from an appraisal from 2011 for my diamond stating the value was $10,800. Fraud!! that I took to my insurance and had a policy. The worst happened, and it was stolen. I now have my insurance and their appraisers starting my 18k gold 1k princess cut ring was only worth $9,000 today. My mother had recently passed, and I was so distraught that I could not find a piece of her jewelry that I could wear daily so I could have her with me always. So I took my wedding ring in to have it re-size. I've never done that before so I was really nervous. I did a little research online and decided to give this store a try. When I drop my ring off at the store I asked them to check the serial number on the diamond before I leave thinking I will be checking it again when I come back to pick it up. (I don't know if that's the standard procedure, but I thought that's part of the reason why you get a serial number for the diamond?) Long story short, their front desk lady (older, grey/short hair) gave me an attitude when I asked her to do so (felt like she really doesn't want to do it). I went back there to pick up my ring today and she made a big stink about me asking to check the serial number before I leave. Raj on the other hand was really polite and helpful, I just wish the front desk lady can be a little more polite and professional. I don't feel like I am accusing them for anything since I've never been to their store before; how would I know if they are honest? Oh and by the way they never call me when my ring was ready, I had to call to ask myself. I went to Raj based on a recommendation from a friend of mine. He made a beautiful wedding band to match the engagement ring exactly. I also got my own wedding band from him. He gave us a great price on them both and is very friendly each time we come in for cleaning and checking. What really made the difference and me personally appreciate Raj and Jane for all they do is the day before our wedding when a separate ring my wife's mother gave her many years ago lost a very small diamond. Yippee! After a year and a half of not being able to wear my engagement ring/wedding band and thinking that I would never be able to wear them again, thanks to the folks at Dublin Jewelers! My husband proposed to 6 years ago, when I was about 10-15 pounds lighter. Flash forward to now, and having had two babies in the last 2 and a half years, my fingers have needless to say swelled up a bit. I took of my rings about a year and a half ago because they were starting to feel tight and I havent been able to put them back on ever since (without my finger turning blue), until now! I explained to him what I needed, and he kindly explained to me the exact process in which they would make my ring larger. I had a ring with small diamonds that I never wear. I decided to make earrings out of the diamonds. I knew at least one of the diamonds was cracked. The people at Dublin Jeweler reset the diamonds for a reasonable price, and now I have a cute pair of tiny (3mm each) diamond stud earrings. They gave me back the ring and the diamond that couldn't be used, but given I wouldn't wear either again, they paid for the ring in cash and reduced the cost of the earrings. I needed a few small things done: my wedding band slightly resized, my engagement ring dipped in rhodium, and both rings cleaned and polished for the big day - and I needed it all done extremely quickly. The store where I bought my wedding band had told me (after the fact) that they could not actually resize it like I had been told when purchasing due to the pattern that runs all the way around it. But Dublin Jewelers told me it would be no problem, given the minor change in size I was requesting. I brought the rings in late morning on a Monday and was able to pick them a little over 24 hours later, and for an overall price that easily beat what the store wanted to charge just for the rhodium and polishing! Been here once now...the fiance is in the market for his wedding band, and his step brother recently bought his at Dublin Jeweler's, so we decided to check it out. This was my first time here, 2nd time for my almost hubby. On the first visit, the lady said they'd order him a couple rings to try on, so we finally got around to him trying them on.. My fiance had tried on other rings leading up to this point and was actively educating himself on the different metals, carbonites, etc., available to him for his wedding band. He wokls with photo chemicals on a daily basis, so he has meticulously thought out and planned so that his wedding band will endure time and wont decay/corrode over the rings lifetime. So to that end, our visit was a lengthy one at DJ because we had questions, which meant we'd get answers and end up having more questions lol. the nice Australian? lady was so kind, patient, and helpful as we tried the specially ordered rings, then purused the rest of the rings again, and then ended up talking to the store owner about it too. everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. we were encouraged by their prices and customer service, so when we finally are able to commit to a ring, we will be coming back here for sure in the next month (fingers crossed,) to say yes to a ring! Recently, my boyfriend needed to have a few watch batteries and a watch band replaced. He was given a date they would be ready. When he called to check that they were, they couldn't find his watches at first and when they did they had not been done. It took a lot of follow up on his part to get his watches back.
