    Guinness Burger
    Patrick Z.

Irish pub but make it classy asf with hella good food and suuuper big portions. I had the Guinness Marinated Burger which was really delish. The Guinness flavor was veeeery subtle but the burger was seasoned well, sauce was fire, and onion was crispy. Split the Mac & Cheese also which had this awesome bruleed top, the cheese itself couldve been thicker but tasted good. Also had a Black Velvet which was half Guinness half Cider??? Talk about my two favorite things WOW this was fire I loved how it was layered.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this was! I had the salmon Reuben and it was very light but flavorful. Service was a little slow, I had to wait for my fork and never did get my water glass refilled. But not a bad option if you're looking for a pub in the area!

Dublin's Restaurant has a nice atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating, and the building itself is attractive. Unfortunately, the overall experience was just average. The service was okay but nothing exceptional. For an Irish restaurant, I expected a much better beer selection, but the choices were fairly limited and not particularly interesting. Overall, there wasn't anything that really stood out or made me want to come back.

    Saturday Magner's and meal!

Stopped in here for Magner's and ended up having a warm up of potato soup. Just a quick stop before the rain started in DC. Sat on the porch good service from the nice Irish man with the beard. Cheers!

DC has a few Irish places to my surprise. Decided to come here for brunch with friends and celebrate St. Patrick's Day early. I honestly felt underwhelmed with the food and service that our party experienced. I ordered a Shepherd's Pie because I was craving it. Although the dish itself tasted fine, I probably would not pay $27 for it though. I also tried the other dishes like fish and chips, and it was not anything to rave about. The service was busy for a weekend brunch. Indoors was definitely packed, and it made it kind of hard to navigate throughout the restaurant. Overall I probably would not come back, but good to know this place exists in DC

The best Irish restaurant for food and live music in DC. My husband and I have been here a few times and the classic Irish food is always great. My husband always orders a bacon cheeseburger which is thick, juicy, perfectly cooked and comes with hot steak fries. The fish and chips is also delicious and thick pieces of cod. The boiled dinner was good. I would ask for the sauce on the side next time. The meat was tender and boiled vegetables were simple classic taste. A Guinness and local drafts are a must. The guitarist is wonderful and plays all the classic Irish hits. The service is great! We even came on the Saturday before St Patrick's day with a reservation and the team was great even tho the bar was packed. Highly recommend!

We stopped here on our final day of the DC visit and pleased with our choice for comfort food, relaxed atmosphere, terrific service, great music and overall ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed my beer (Guinness and Harp) and we were each thrilled with our food orders. I typically avoid eating fries, but have to say that I'm glad I followed through this time. The fries were perfect -- crispy crunchy exterior and fluffy melty interior. Lots to look at as you sit and take it all in. Staff and patrons lend a lot of character to the environment and we enjoyed the entire experience.

Authentic Irish Pub that you should check out. Not very busy on a late September afternoon. Seating indoors and out - they had big windows open bringing the outdoor feeling inside. Had the potato soup (creamy with a hint of cheese) and crispy Brussels sprouts (perfection with an amazing dipping sauce). Too much food for one person to eat. Service was good, and everything looked clean. Would love to come back.

    Chicken sandwich was big.

Stoped here for a bite before our ride home to New York. Great sandwich and lovely staff. The bar looks like it has some stories to tell. Stop in and grab a bite with a pint.

I visited this restaurant during police week this year. Our party had about 10 people and we were told it would be a 1.5 hour wait. This was the wait time, no matter if we split our group up or kept it as a party of 10. You provide a phone number, and they will text you when the table is ready. We went next door to Kelly's Irish Pub while waiting. It was right at 1.5 hours when we got the text that our table was ready. We sat in the front of the restaurant. The restaurant seemed clean and orderly even though there were lots of people. There is a bar inside the restaurant that drew a lot of a standing crowd. I ordered shepherds pie. I thought it was delicious. The potatos had a nice char on the top of them, and it was a good portion of food. Service was pretty good with getting drinks refills.

First time ever in DC, so I had to go check out the pubs! Got a few drinks and tried out the fish and chips. It's a super lively spot and the food is decent and priced accordingly. I'd be back here when I return.

small-sized Irish Coffee next to water glass for comparison....
    Brian A.

Was here many many times and have always enjoyed it. Great location near Union Station. Slightly odd layout, but wonderful atmosphere. Your traditional Irish-American pub with good food. Oddly, on our recent visit, the Shepherd's Pie had a miniscule amount of beef, if any! It was probably beef gravy passing as meat. Not enjoyable, sadly. The corned beef sandwich was very good. Also, the tiniest Irish Coffee we've ever had. Unbelievably small. And way overpriced at $12!! This is one place one shouldn't skimp.

    Chicken strips

I was looking for a place to burn a little time before catching the train and stumbled upon this pub. It was very popular and busy. Since it was just me I asked the hostess for a bar seat. They have two bars and both were super crowded. But before she could tell me about the bars an employee rudely interrupted to have her do something for him. I guess his need trumped helping out a new patron. That frustration aside she explained the bars and I fortunately found the only free seat. The bartenders were very friendly and that helped my mood. While I am not a country music fan, I do appreciate good music and the live singer musician was excellent. That helped my mood even more. I ordered a draft beer (and was surprised later to see one standard glass was $9 - but I guess that's big city pricing). I also ordered some chicken strips. The chicken was moist and tasted very good and real - not processed like some chicken strips that get served at places. They provided honey mustard and aioli dipping sauces. They were solid but could have been a tad more flavorful. Truthfully, the chicken was so good it didn't need it. While the initial impression was a bit sour because of the one employee, the rest of the experience was a-ok and overall the visit was well worth it.

The wings were top notch! We just got the standard buffalo wings and they were just the right size, well cooked and very saucey. The sauce is great because it's a bit of a unique twist on buffalo. It's nice when every place does not have the same mix of Red Hot and Butter (this was not). So, wings fit the bill. Very salty and spicy if I recall (it was late) and want to come back again soon. My friends enjoyed the shepherd's pie, but it wasn't the best I've had. The beef was kind of mild and the potatoes were not crisped on the top. However, a solid home made offering that you can season as you like and I suppose you can order it "crispy" to make sure it comes out that way. Yeah, I'd order it again.
