Sat at the bar for drinks and lunch. Service was great, quality of food and drinks awesome. And our golf experience was wonderful.

I am here from Tampa area on business and decided to try this public course, since I am an avid golfer. SO GLAD I DID!!!! Frank at the pro shop is awesome very friendly and the course itself in great shape and fun as heck! Drinks reasonable as well and a great restaurant at location with great atmosphere! This is my favorite place to play in Orlando! The renovation done a few years ago was a homerun, or shall I say, hole-in-one, by the city. Excellent greens and great rates, especially for Orlando residents. The lighted driving range is open until 10pm and the rates for range balls is on par with other courses. They also allow walking which is great! The restaurant next door, The Tap Room, has some of the best food around. read more

The city has done an excellent job restoring and preserving this classic course. It is very scenic here and I love the eclectic neighborhood surrounding it. I usually enjoy it by riding my bike around the perimeter. read more

This course is a rat trap!!!! Greens were spotted with cancer. Sand might as well have been concrete. Very tight with water right off of the fairways. Penalizes the long hitters that like to grip and rip. Very short with only 2 par 5 holes....the one on the front 9 you need to tee off with an iron...I HATE THAT! Nice staff and friendly service but the course itself was terrible.....never again! read more

Nice course, but I like to play nine after work -- way too expensive for 9 holes ($26) versus some other courses. 3 stars there. For an evening round, I'd go to Winter Park Country club or Winter Park pines instead -- particularly when the days are shorter and you can't squeeze in a quick 18. Dubsdread is in really nice condition in and around the greens, tee boxes, and on fairways/rough, which is why I give it 4 stars in that category. Therefore 3 1/2, but leaning toward 3 stars for price and "way too expensive" rates at night. You can play 18 at most mid-tier courses for $26! Also, the range is in terrible shape. Youre hitting off dirt here. Not a good place to sharpen your game. They really need to clean that up. USGA says play nine, but not here !!!! read more

Great short course. Nice conditions and great location. Worth the price.

Course is in decent condition, but the pace of play is unbearable. Weekday, weekends the pace is consistently 4:45-5 hours for 18 holes. Rangers drive around the course pointlessly as they never address the pace of the slower players. read more

What a poorly run course. Booked a tee time early so we wouldn't lose the whole day. They booked a scramble which has backed everything up by over 30 minutes and then have kept lying about it. You're next. Oops, now your next. So, I treated my guys to a round for $200 to be lied to and now everyone is going to be running up on everyone else. My son and fiancée are getting married here next month so we gave the pub a try. Food was good but was expensive...

Used to love this place. Went very often. However, the last 3 times we have been there the service was terrible. Not sure if there were not enough servers, if they were new and untrained, or just having a bad night (seemed distracted and socializing with each other when diners are in need of things, attempting to get their attention). I want to like this restaurant again and put it back into our frequent rotation - hope they get their act back together. read more

As someone that has played golf courses in several different countries, I definitely loved playing at Dubsdread. The fact that it is a public course shocks me. The greens are kept in immaculate conditions and are as fast as I've ever seen. The service is amazing from the minute I park my car to the minute I leave. The gentleman in the pro-shop (Herman) was great, he has a great attitude, and did everything possible to accommodate my needs. read more

One of my favorite courses in Orlando. ALWAYS in great shape. A ton of history behind this course. Staff is great. Carts have gps. Don't let the distance fool you, it is challenging in many ways. read more

I have member here going on the second year. After having four other golf memberships, this golf club has been kept in the best condition, knowledgeable staff, greens always in perfect shape! The remodel of the course a few years ago, made it a must play for the area and has brought it to one of the best golf courses in Central FL. This course stands above all others in Central Florida. It's in great condition and the prices are reasonable. Each hole is challenging. It has a large and nicely stocked pro shop. The pro shop staff is the best ever. They are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Dubsdread is convenient to get to from just about anywhere in Central Florida. Highly recommended. read more

I've been to Dubsdread before to visit the Tap Room and left there feeling like the food was good. A little pricey, but overall a good place to frequent. Today was the first time I played their golf course. As a 7 handicapper, I was anxious to try something that looked pretty short on the scorecard. The staff was nice, but there was no semblance of organization with the tee times. We played our round in 5 hours and 30 minutes and had 2 groups backed up on nearly every tee box. Even from the back tee's I played driver 5 times total (1 long par 4 on the front and the other 4 on the back 9) - and on the front 9 I kept it in the bag on the par 5. Thought the layout was tight and water was definitely in play on nearly every hole on the front 9. Fairways were in decent shape and the greens rolled true except for the myriad of pitch marks on the green. Overall, decent old style course with a above average practice area. Wouldn't go back unless a great deal arose because the layout left much to be desired. read more

I absolutely love Dubsdread. The total yardage from the back tees does not seem very long but it's only a par 70 and the slope and rating are accurate so you will get your money's worth regardless of your skill level. Dubsdread has been a home course for me for years. All throughout my childhood I can remember playing here with my Dad and friends. They always have knowledgeable professionals in the golf shop and they have a solid selection of merchandise. The PGA's teach on the side and they have pretty decent practice facilities, especially for short game. Recently, within the last couple of years, they remodeled the course. It was not a massive renovation but they did update most tee's and greens and they reconfigured a couple of holes. I like the new look and it makes the course slightly more challenging. The locker room is not fancy but it gets the job done. They have day lockers, showers, and the facilities are always clean. The half way house has great hot dogs and quick snacks for the turn but don't fill your self up because the Tap Room is a must after the round. Dubsdread is fully public and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this course to both tourists and Central Florida residents. All in all, Dubsdread is one of the best public courses in Orlando mostly because of it's location and how difficult it is despite the short total yardage. read more

Played there today and found the course good. It was very wet due to the rain over the last week. The golf shop was very helpful in getting our clubs to the cart. Valet parking is free. Everyone their was really at our service. read more
