We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch! Arrived shortly after what I believe is their opening time of 10am. The place had many people already there and lots of open seating. Because of other reviews, I went ahead and got on their website and made reservation when we were on our way. I wasn't asked if we had reservation and unsure how important it was but better safe than sorry. They did get busier as it got later of course. The bar was full with many drinking martinis already. They serve brunch on weekends and have adjoining cocktail menu. Several tables had the beignets (4 for $7) which were so puffy and looked delicious. I got the breakfast toastie which was really big & delicious. We could have split one! The hashbrowns were heavy seasoned to my preference but were very good, My Mom got the Corned Beef Hash with poached eggs, hash browns, & a biscuit. The corned beef mixture was extremely salty but good when mixed together with hashbrowns & eggs. The biscuit was delicious! What a cute spot on Camp Bowie! Martinis were clearly the hit here. Got a dirty martini and my partner got a spicy martini both came with a little sidecar and were delicious. We started with the lobster bites which were yummy but small in portion...will be trying something new next time. My partner loved their lobster roll with house chips! This is a food factory cranking out quantity, not focused on quality. Flavorless tepid fried green tomatoes were a disappointment. "Angry lobster" was a sales pitch, not a feast. Lobster claw served without anything to crack it open, no crab in sight. Afterward, discussing our meal, mom said the best thing at the table was the bread. Sad. To end the night, our bill came with an item we didn't order. Despite apologies and claims it was removed, reading receipt again it was still there and charged to my card. Caveat. This is the first time we had ever been to Lucille's and almost 20 years since we moved here. We walked in the front door and asked for a table for two. They asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but we were offered a table in the bar and were served a full menu. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with hashbrowns and it was amazing. We did start off our brunch lunch menu with some fried green tomatoes, and you could definitely tell that the sauce for the tomatoes was homemade in between a horseradish citrus sauce, which was good . I ordered their Guinness beef stew, which was amazing. I just wish the stew was served with a nice piece of chunky bread to dip into the stew. The atmosphere service and food was really really good. It is not cheap to eat here. However, you get your moneys worth in portions, size and flavor. As first-timers, we can't wait to go back. If you sit in the bar, ask for Jessy. He is a chef himself and knows flavor. He ordered the corned beef hash and really like it. We had high hopes for this local institution...and sadly we were disappointed. We had an early reservation for a Saturday evening, and the hostesses were somewhat off-putting and had some challenges with seating and we had to wait. It was odd when folks who were walk-ins were offered a table before those of us with reservations for the same size party. We would have gladly taken a bar seat but were not offered one. The hostesses seemed more concerned about an upcoming birthday party for one of the staff. When we were finally seated, things didn't improve much. Some basic service training is lacking here. Example-- we were seated at a table with the former diners' ticket on it. The served came and picked it up while we were waiting at the table, but did not greet us. Once we were acknowledged, the server was nice enough. The martini is great -- get it! The server didn't offer a wine list when we asked. Ended up with house cab --producer unknown. Food was lackluster. Crab mushrooms were tiny, but the sauce was okay. Entrees were rough. My wedge salad with steak was so overly dressed and salty I could feel myself dehydrating! The flavor WAS good, just way too much dressing and sooo salty. And the steak, while I asked for medium rare, was more like well done....and weirdly cold. My companion's chicken was fair, but the veggies were all only cooked on one side. The corn was nearly petrified. It tasted freezer burned and reheated. The place is cute! My daughter found Lucille's in Yelp and I can't believe I'd never heard of it. Parking can be a little tricky, the restaurant is located on a triangle. Definitely make a reservation, although they have an open seating at the small bar and a few tables along the window. We were there on Father's Day and it was packed. We lucked into to a small table in the bar area and canceled our reservation. We ordered our drinks fairly quickly; the bar was pretty backed up my breakfast old-fashioned was definitely worth the wait. We split an order of the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes with bacon and lobster Benedict with hashbrowns. They put our Benedict on separate plates, which was very thoughtful! Lobster Cioppino and Duck, Shrimp, and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Made the trek into FTW today from NE Tarrant County to try the gumbo posted on FB yesterday. My wife immediately focused on the lobster cioppino being offered today and that was that. She opted for a glass of vino and I a Tanqueray martini. Not crazy about whatever vermouth this is poured with (for me it just does not work with the Tanqueray) and not a fan of the abundance of ice shards in the pour here but still... it was a martini at lunch! Cheers! Both the gumbo and cioppino boasted a rich, hearty, and complex medley of flavors which perfectly showcased the respective seafoods and meats. The fish, lobster, mussels, and scallops, etc. in the cioppino were all perfectly cooked. None of the seafood in the dish was overcooked. Everything in the gumbo was as well properly rendered and tasty though the gumbo was not close to hot, just warm. But it does include okra, y'all! Oh yeah! The brown rice, however, in both our dishes was significantly undercooked. The rice was still crunchy. We passed this observation on to our server who apparently communicated it to the kitchen as one of the cooks soon brought a bowl of "fresh rice" to our table. A+ on the server's and kitchen's attention to their patrons. But it was the same story. I kinda wonder why brown rice is served with these dishes in the first place. I bet not one in fifty diners these days have ever had brown rice and not one in a hundred prefer it. (My wife is that one. I am one of the 99. LOL ). I don't recall ever having been served brown rice with a Cajun or Creole inspired dish. But anywho, both dishes were otherwise most enjoyable and, of course, we always love the vibe at Lucile's! read more

Okay I honestly was not a huge fan of this restaurant, it was pretty average in terms of a rating. to preface, I am not a big seafood person, and I was going to dinner with seafood eaters so I didn't have much choice...but I assumed there would be at least a handful of other things to order on the menu. I recognize that a seafood place wouldn't have much for me to order as a vegetarian, but I was a bit peeved that the only option was a build your own pizza. I had hoped for at least a salad, but most of the salad options had meat, and I didn't want to pay the price of a meal that would've included meat, and would just end up being lettuce and bread. The pizza was pretty good, it was slightly undercooked in the middle but the toppings were a bit burnt. I still ate a few slices and enjoyed my company. Despite the food setbacks and the overall pretty loud atmosphere since it's very popular with locals, the service was great. No complaints there - our server was very attentive and made sure to fill our water cups throughout the meal. I really appreciated it! read more

We were out to attend a holiday concert and decided to make it a special "date night" with dinner out. I vacillated on several choices in the area we were going to be and decide on Lucile's Stateside Bistro. We hadn't dined there in a VERY long time. As usual, the restaurant was hopping on a Saturday evening. Lucile's is always busy, and parking can be a challenge. They're very landlocked in with how their property is situated. When we drove up, patience was the key. We finally scored a parking place that wasn't too far from the front door. There was a "wait" on but since we had reservations, we were seated immediately. Thank goodness for that, we didn't want to be late for out concert at the arena. We looked over the menu. My wife, who absolutely loves chicken salad ordered the chicken salad sandwich accompanied with French fries. I ordered the Lobster and Scallop Fettuccine Alfredo. As we waited on our orders, a basket of fresh baked bread was brought to our table for us to enjoy. After an acceptable wait, especially considering how swamped the restaurant was, our entrees were delivered to our table. Both of our entrees were picture perfect. My wife said her chicken salad sandwich was very delicious. My seafood was very good. Personally, I would have liked the Fettuccine Alfredo sauce to have been a bit thicker, but the taste of the dish was delicious with lots of seafood. 5 stars on service!!!! Olga was our server and she was training Harper tonight! Definitely top notch service! Harper said she's been there for 2years and now moving on to serving! Definitely the right move and decision by this restaurant! Olga was very attentive. My son ordered strawberry lemonade and 5mnts in I asked him you're not even drinking your drink. He said this is my 2nd one already. I didn't even ask and they brought one out to me! Wow!! Food was good. Wish crab cake has more flavor to it. But the side pasta was good, it was light and delish. Both pasta and crab cake needed salt though. Rib eye was excellent. Definitely will come back for that. My son enjoyed his salmon on plank and rice. He said he can have 2nd. They are smart enough to be open till 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. The chicken fried steak is out of this world, huge, tender and flavorful. They use real mashed potatoes, we've been found a lump or two which we were fine with, because it's proof. The gravy was so good and the rolls and butter are amazing. I like this place because they have everything from lobster to hamburgers. Whatever food you like, you can probably find something. I have not been here in about 3 years so it was a nice treat. My friend and I stumbled upon this place after trying to find parking at the antique mall. It has diner like vibes. Plenty of seating. Nice lighting during the day. A lobster tank. We were seated shortly after arriving. My only issue was the table we were seated at wasn't to my cleanliness expectations. My elbow had gotten wet from something. Crumbs from the last customers were on the table. I just grabbed another table napkin and wiped it off. Later during the meal I did notice something on the ground but I'll just let that one slide. Our waitress was very helpful and refilled my friend's coffee multiple times. She also recommended the lobster roll if you're feeling fresh. We were also able to split the dishes so that was nice. We tried the po boy as well. I liked both the sweet potato fries and the home made chips. Lobster roll was head and shoulders above the po boy. Definitely go for the lobster roll. First off, the lobster bisque was amazing! Delicious and full of flavor! But the shrimp in the shrimp salad were of such poor quality...I would have give zero stars if possible. They were absolutely flavorless and the poop vein was not removed or cleaned! GROSS! If you can't offer quality shrimp...DO NOT serve it. You guys should know better. P.S. I just read past reviews and the issue of not deveining the shrimp has been brought to your attention over the past two years...so this seems like an issue you are never going to resolve. The chicken fried steak was well floured and surprisingly well seasoned as were the potatoes and gravy. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good as well. Though the fries tasted as if they were fried in the same grease as seafood as they had a seafood taste to them. My fiancé and I come here for almost every occasion. They have something for everyone here from seafood, to pasta, to burgers, to pizzas, to steak. This place has award winning menu items such as their martinis (which are the strongest and best I've ever had), fried green tomatoes, chicken fried steak, and many more menu items. We have tried almost every menu item and all have been spectacular. Our favorite current appetizer is the baked goat cheese, which gives you a great portion and you can ask for extra pita bread. My fiancés go to entree is the bacon wrapped tenderloin, made the Lucile's way, and our favorite desert is most definitely the key lime pie with Oreo cookie crust. They always have the best service. We have never had a problem being catered to and are always checked on. The restaurant is always clean. It is however quite loud at times as they are usually very busy.
