Made to order, warm, custom donuts! What could be better? Worth going out of the way on a road trip!

While the service was good, I think that overall, the staff was short staffed so it took a really long time for our donuts to come out (45 mins). There was one order in front of us, another person who ordered a dozen, but it seems that online orders had come in as well and were also being prioritized. Since it's a college campus and it'll probably busy, just be prepared to plan ahead. I would recommend ordering online or placing the order then coming back. That being said, donuts are fresh! You can see them coming out of the oil, they were quite delicious and the price was great - very affordable in my opinion for a good, quality donut. read more

I did not know what to expect when I came here. This donut shop is located right outside U Dayton's campus. They have a decent sized parking lot in the back that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is located. It is a clean shop with a few tables that you can sit and eat on. The donuts are made to order. You pick from a nice picture board of what you want. They start with a white cake donut. And then make your selections. They also offer coffee, hot chocolate tea, ice cream and breakfast sandwiches. I went with Sand Dollar (white coconut), Strawberry Confetti, (strawberry frosting with rainbow sprinkles), Chocolate Caramel Crunch, and Blueberry Lemonade. I am normally not a huge fan of cake donuts, but these were delicious. The donuts were warm and fresh. The cake was so fluffy. It was different than any donut that I have had (And I have had quite a few), but in a good way though. I only took him about 4 minutes to make my 5 donuts. I was in and out very fast. I would recommend coming here with a plan of what donuts you want to save some time. There are so many to choose from. The only issue with the donuts that you may find is that they are a bit pricey. The cost over $2 per donut. This is a very nice donut shop. I wish we had one of these in Indy. Oh well, when I make it back to Dayton, I will definitely stop in. read more

Drove 20 minutes to get to this goofy ass place, because Apple Maps said they were opened. Just to see that they have "winter hours". Sounds dumb as hell but whatever. I'd recommend avoiding this place during the winter..because of the dramatic temperature drop from summer to winter people tend not to eat warm pastries. So, just wait until July. read more

I walked in and my milkshake was the first thing made, so it was melted by the time we got everything else. the donuts did not taste fresh like they usually do and not a single donut from my order was correct. The ladies at the counter did not greet us even though they did not appear to be very busy. Walking around UD we found a donut shop and decided it was time for dessert. The staff were very pleasant and patient, two thumbs up! My favorite was the plain vanilla and blueberry. These things are cakey so eat 'em while their hot. The donut fryer is remarkably small for large scale production but works perfectly fine. Craft donuts? Artesian donuts? After dinner I stoped in for coffee and a donut. The donuts looked great, probably more sugar than I needed but I ordered one with a cup of coffee. I got my coffee and sat down waiting for my donut. Bottom of the donut was saturated in oil, donuts are soft ordered 4 glazed and 2 glazed with chocolate frosting, chocolate was awful left a bad taste in my mouth. All the way from Phoenix I watch as family & friends post Duck Donuts so I couldn't wait until I visited home to try and was I disappointed. On my way out for coffee one morning I drove by DD's and busted a U-Turn as I was reminded that they were on my list to try during my trip home for the holidays. We have some great donut places in Phoenix so I was looking forward to seeing what my little home town had to offer. 1. I was greeted by a guy working the register that was unpleasant and seemed annoyed to help me. I even went on to tell him this was my first time there hoping he would offer more help/guidance but he did not. I wanted to try an assortment so just finally asked what were the favorites - I ordered half dozen of the favorites. 2. I had heard complaints that they were overpriced but I didn't think so. The prices seemed similar to the specialty donut shops in Phoenix about $7 3. Once home I cut a small portion from each donut with the exception of the bacon one because I don't eat pork (got that for the hubby). From the first bit I was disappointed. Other than being hot & fresh these donuts are a miss. The dough seems to light and airy which no substance. They also seemed over cooked. The toppings overpowered the doughnut and to me that should not be the cause. All I tasted was sugar! YUCK These Donuts were a total waste of my calories for the day. Also, I was too lazy to stop a second place for coffee so just grabbed a cup from here and it was awful and expensive, $3 for nasty coffee!
