Location is horrible. There are only 4 seats by the door and people are around you if you do get a seat because it's quite busy. I hope they move to a larger location with tables so you can enjoy the hot doughnuts as they are meant to be eaten. read more

Waited over 20 mins for 6 donuts. 2orders which were places after ours, were filled before ours. Staff did not start adding toppings to ANY donuts until 10 mins after our order was placed. I went to the donut shop because my realtor talked about her experience and Love of the chain from a previous state/location. I went because of the free donut for National donut day. I placed my free order and decided to add an extra donut because I was excited to try it. The young lady took my order and she was very pleasant. Upon handing her my cash, I noticed she had servers gloves on. I thought maybe she was allergic to something and needed to wear the gloves. Seeing the gloves raised a red fkag, but she was at the register, so no worries. I went to wait on my order, lo and behold, here comes the young lady with the same gloves that processed the payment. I looked st my daughter and said, I bet you it will be my order as I have a strong dislike for that behavior. Sure enough, it was my order. Let's say the donuts will go into the trash. I don't ever want anyone to lose their jobs, but I have witnessed that behavior in too many places. It's disgusting. It takes seconds to swap gloves and a minute it so yo wash your hands. They lost a potential customer. The drizzle looked awful. In fairness, the young lady did ask me if it looked okay. I was in shock by the sanitation issue. read more

Do not order online. Do not order online. They don't give any sort of priority to your order. I walked in at my pickup time at 10:01 and asked for my order of half a dozen. They said they were still making the order. Ok no problem it's a Saturday they're busy. I then watched them make at least 8 orders of people who walked into the store AFTER me. They clearly prioritize walk-ins and make their orders right away. After waiting about ten minutes I walked back over to the pickup counter to ask what the deal was. Stood there for another 10-15 minutes being ignored while they made anybody's and everybody's order who walked in the door. I finally walked to the register and told the person taking orders that I'd been waiting well over twenty minutes for an order that I put in AHEAD of time! She walked over and my order was ready a few minutes later. The donuts are good, a little pricey, but definitely not worth waiting over 40 minutes(20 min online + 20 min in store)! First of all - just come here for the donuts - they are awesome. Everything else is pretty terrible. Worst coffee I ever had - couple other people in my group threw out their coffee immediately and went to Sheetz and Starbucks. I tried to order a bagel with cream cheese but they were out of cream cheese and Jelly. We ordered 3 bagel sandwiches - 2 with bacon and 1 with sausage. They gave us all 3 with bacon. We ordered 2 coffees but only got 1 - 2nd one wasn't on receipt so we didn't pay for it or get it - which was a blessing since coffee tastes like the barely use any grounds to brew it. Don't expect your bagel to be toasted - you will be disappointed. Donuts - blueberry and beach ball were awesome - they do this well. I ordered a milk for my kid and didn't get that either. Basically they are incapable of taking a large order here - they can only handle you saying donuts. Won't be back - pretty disappointed overall with lackluster service - very disorganized and expensive. Lots of employees - need more training. The food here is great, but we had a poor experience. We came in one morning and it was not crowded whatsoever; we ordered a dozen donuts and a few breakfast sandwiches. The donuts were done within a few minutes, but the sandwiches never came out. When we asked about the sandwiches they asked to see our receipt and told us they would remake the order. Shortly after they handed us another dozen donuts and no breakfast sandwiches. When we brought this to their attention they finally started making the sandwiches. They came out about 45 minutes after we placed our order. Everything was quite good, but it would have been nice to not get our order confused twice. read more

We love Duck Donuts! The staff is young, quite a few of them go to the local high school, but they are friendly, helpful and eager. Our first visit, despite being very busy, they took the time explain the concept and how to order and pointed out some of their favorites. I was pleasantly surprised that 2 custom donuts only cost $3, I can't get out of the yogurt shop that cheap! They give you a number and you wait to be called. Once your order is done, they present your donuts and point out which is which, ask if you're satisfied, and then put the lid on it and you're good to go. There is bar seating in the front and it can get crowded as people are waiting but if you want to sit and eat in the store, there is seating in the back away from the counters and the crowd and it's actually quite pleasant back there. Bathrooms are clean and parking is easy. It's a brand new shopping center with pretty lights and music playing outside. I'm hoping some other awesome stores open up there, it's a neat little area. We look forward to many spontaneous stops as well as celebratory visits in the future. We love it! read more

I am a common customer here at this business (usually in the mornings) I have always loved Duck Donuts. Today my husband and I came in for National Donut Day! We were very excited to get a dozen donuts and everything was going smoothly until I got to the counter to pick up my donuts. A young girl had my donuts in her hand and she was about to hand them over to me but got distracted by her coworkers and completely ignored me and my husband. She harshly placed my donuts on the counter and a few of them were messed up when my husband opened the box. We did not want to pester the employees because they were very busy. I asked for the young girls name and she rudely said "Landy" and then continued to flirt and mess around with her co workers- who seemed to be working very hard. I will only come in the mornings from now on to avoid the same mishap. read more

I would give them a 5-Star review if the manager hadn't decided to talk about me within earshot. I ordered donut holes in addition to my half-dozen donuts. I asked for fresh ones since fresh and made to order is what the advertise. The cashier went to talk to her about it and then proceeds to hand me the ones that were sitting on display on the counter and say "Are these okay?" I said sure. As I stepped over to watch my donuts being made I overheard the manager say that if I wanted fresh ones I should have gone to dunkin donuts. She noticed I had overheard her and decided to bring me out a "fresh" donut hole and ask again if the ones they gave me were fine. I have been coming to this duck donuts since before Covid- 19 and I love their donuts but I thought that a business with so many employees and customers they would be the first to set guidelines regarding covid, but they haven't. The owners have put the basic know your W's sign but other than that no protocols. I often see employees with their masks down as well, the manager who seems to be in charge ( she's always telling the others what to do by yelling or for lack of better words, flipping out and I haven't seen anyone else seem to have that kind of power over the others that work there) often has her mask down with no care. Normally I just look past it for the simple fact that I love their donuts but I finally hit my last straw the other night when I came to get donuts with my friend. We waited in the car because there was a big group of people in the store with no masks on. They decided to sit down and eat their donuts so we decided to just go ahead inside before they close and I had asked two of their employees if they're allowed to ask people to leave if they don't have masks and to sum it up no they're not allowed to tell anyone to leave so that just further tells me that the owners care more about making money than keeping their workers safe. I have reached out to the Guilford county health department and have also let many of my coworkers know (who also frequent duck donuts) that it is not in their best option to chose to dine here. I hope their employees stay safe. read more
