This is just as good as the Virginia Beach location! On Sunday be prepared for a line. However, they do a good job keeping the line moving so your wait time won't be too long. They make 1 type of donut, and then you can choose any combination of toppings available. Delicious made to order donuts! Went on a Sunday morning and it was pretty empty. Ordered the maple bacon and boardwalk donuts. First time so staff helped me pick out my choices, which was nice. Waited a few minutes while they made it. First bite of the boardwalk donut was pure heaven. Since they were hot the confectionary sugar became gooey and melted on top. Absolutely hit the spot. I wasn't really impressed. When I got to the counter, the cashier barely even looked at me. I had to ask him if he was ready for my order. I ran next door to pick up the take out dinner I had order while my donuts were being prepared and they almost didn't let me back in because they were closing and thought I was a new customer. The donuts were good and I appreciate them being fresh but waiting for each one to be made makes for a long wait. Plus, they are all the same base. The donuts at Duck are good in general, but the wait time in Marlton was insane!!!! If I hadn't paid at the time of my order I would have left. 50 mins for donuts! Not acceptable. Way too sweet for my taste. The icing/topping is poured on while the donut is so hot, it just completely melts into it. My spouse and I had a hard time trying to distinguish what the donut flavors were because we had similar toppings on a few and we had no way to tell them apart after everything just melted into the donut. It was really just one overly sweet sugary mess with little actual flavor, just tasted like sugar. I don't know if it was just a bad day or maybe the staff was still in training because a lot of people seem to rave about this place, but we just weren't impressed at all and won't be returning. Finally, a delicious donut shop in my home town! I used to have to drive to Philly to create my own donut, but not any longer thanks to Duck Donuts. Upon entering we were greeted with friendly smiles from the staff, who explained to us how to order. You can choose from their signature donuts, or you can create you own. They are made fresh, so they're nice and warm once you receive them. My first bite was into their signature maple bacon flavor, which was beyond delicious! It's BETTER than the shop in Philly, which says a lot because the Philly shop was really high up there in my book. My family and I first tried a Duck Donuts near Williamsburg, VA, and I had been fervently hoping one would open closer to home. It did! All of the donuts I have tried have been good but, for me, nothing can compare to the maple-glazed. It just has the absolute best flavor imaginable. It is good with the salted caramel drizzle. They also have it with bacon, which I am not into (I don't like bacon with sweet things) but it is popular. Having had these donuts several times now, I will never again have a donut that is not made to order. I used to make donuts at home sometimes because hot and fresh is so much better but it was time-consuming and messy. Now I can come here and have incredibly good, hot, customized donuts in their very pleasant atmosphere with exceptionally polite staff. This is a great improvement to the area. read more

So happy...after years of nothing but Dunkin Donuts and their "we're outta donuts but we have personal pan pizza - want one of those?" someone mentioned this place...not far from anything - right at the old rt 70 circle...was not very busy when we got there - around 2:30 on a Friday...got a dozen for 18.75...we played a bit and made them all as different as possible...some we loved and thought it would be great to have a dozen of - some we could have done without - some would have been great sliced in half with egg and cheese...loved being able to see the whole process...would have liked to see some hair nets - hats and visors do not do the job...everyone was very nice - my one big question would be the bacon...how long can you actually keep that stuff out? personally I did not like it on the doughnut - perhaps if it were more a dusting rather than day old chucks but really should not bacon be kept refrigerated? read more

Donut itself is always fine. Poor service. Each time I have been there, there have been 1-2 people ahead,not many and takes 20-30 minutes for 2-3 donuts. I've had sit down lunches in a shorter time frame. One person making donuts on a Saturday morning seems like poor planning on the business end of things. But this is also the case on a random afternoon. No napkins in any of the napkin bins. I could understand some of these issues if it were busy... but it wasn't. There are similar establishments in the area with far faster service and comparable donuts. read more

One star but I would do zero stars for this store if I could. I've made 5 visits and it gets worse each time. They are slow. And I understand the concept but the people are just slow. The manager is not setting them up for success. They are always waiting for dough to be made or something from the back.The manager doesn't know and doesn't tell the order takers what he is short of on the line which cause further delays as the decorators have to identify the issue and get new guidance for each donut that is short a requested item.The donuts almost always look like poor imitations of the pictures. The folks just sort of throw the toppings at the donuts because they are always behind. Perhaps they will improve but only if management gets better and helps the staff. If you have children, I recommend the experience. From an adult standpoint, the quality of the donuts is very good. The prices are high and the size of the donut is on the small-side. Worst service ever. After being told of the 30 minute wait (it was packed), 45 minutes later, they lost my ticket. The male adult Manager seemed more interested in getting outside than assisting the kid employees. He couldn't manage the store. We watched him cutting perfectly good donuts with tongs and throwing them out. How about setting some out for the customers who were waiting? Finally getting our ice cream Sunday donuts, the employee wasn't taught how to put the plastic lid on the container. She smashed one. The second one, was not even closed when she gave it to us. (Each sundae had 1 tiny scoop of ice cream for our $5.) She said she was sorry, and thanked us. Turns out, the Manager said he would make our sundaes, he took our ticket and disappeared. He barely made eye contact with the crowd. He didn't refill the batter machine fast enough for the crowd. The machine was making malformed donuts that they were tossing. IF YOU ARE A FAMILY WITH FOOD ALLERGIES...STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM HERE. I waited the long line to find out if they could accommodate a peanut allergy. I was told they would make them in a separate section in the back. After waiting another 15 minutes, I watched an employee look very frazzled as they realized they hadn't segregated my peanut free order. Another five minutes went by, and I was told they could only make cinnamon or vanilla icing for a nut allergy and that's it. I have been to Sundaes in the heart of the summer where they would open a new tub of ice cream and wash equipment for my son. I asked for the manager who took another ten minutes to refund my money. When I expressed my disappointment that they wasted my time and seems to be insensitive to the group of children that were just disappointed by not being able to have their order (3 of the 4 had nut allergies). Nobody cared. I asked to reach out to the owner. The owner looked at me and said you got your money back and walked away. Not a great way to run a business. I watched the donuts come out in the half hour I waited and they were sloppy in the prep area and sloppy in the presentation boxes.
