Catfish was hot, fresh and not overly breaded. Great wait staff. Home town feel to it.

44 minutes to get an order of fried food to go. Had to order in the restaurant because website says…read morethey're not taking orders online and no one answered the phone. There were a total of seven people in the restaurant when I arrived, one eating and the rest waiting on to go orders. Two more dine in people came and ordered gumbo. Took them at least 30 minutes to get it. The girls were trying -- I'm not going to say working hard because they were mostly just waiting. Every guy in the kitchen tonight should be fired. I don't know where they kept going but you could usually see one guy or maybe two at a time. Who know where the other guys were. The one or two guys are just looking at tickets. Standing there. Talking. Looking at tickets. WTH? I stood for the last fifteen minutes and at the counter with my table Number for the last ten. The girl said "they're packing it up". I said "this is what you should have". One cook came and took a sandwich back because he'd made the wrong thing. Literally I ordered af 808 and it was ready at 843. At time of pick up there is one pour soul left waiting for his order and one new table of two. The food was thankfully good and was hot but I won't be back because of the service. Used to love Hoochies but this is the second time with a horrible experience. Third time would be shame on me.

So good!! The mild house sauce is delicious and not spicy enough to leave a tingle in your mouth,…read morebut full of flavor. The shrimp and snow crab legs were our favorites. The lobster tail was a bit tough and overcooked, which is a waste. Mussels were good too. Garlic noodles were not our favorite. Corn and potatoes are good, but they're a bit stingy about it only giving you one of each. When your seafood boil is $70+, you should get more than one of each. The flavors linger in your mouth for a bit. It lingered for almost 2 days for me, but would definitely return!

Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

Location Just down the street from downtown Denton town…read moresquare. Parking Out front or larger open lot on the side. Atmosphere Fish camp-rustic-pet friendly Many tv's with a variety of sports and news. Seating The bar is inside around the corner. Booths, low top tables-great for groups, porch with outdoor seating. Service At the counter-ring the bell-friendly and attentive. Menu Starters, burgers, many sides. We were here for Denton Blazin Burger 2026. I had the burger on the bun with cole slaw. The slaw was creamy and a generous portion. The burger-Crabby Cow-was a juicy burger topped with pepper jack cheese and a crab cake, fresh tomato slices and shredded lettuce-all topped with. House remoulade sauce and a hush puppy bun garnish. Very tasty and huge. The bun had no problem handling it. My husband had the same-bunless and with grilled zucchini. The zucchini was nicely grilled. Serve yourself fountain drinks and iced tea. Full bat and bottled drinks. Happy hour drink specials. Summary Convenient location, large parking lot, fun atmosphere, great menu, friendly service. Love this place! Thank you for being on the burger trail!

We ordered the lobster chowder and the crab leg pot, and both were absolutely delicious. Even though the place was busy, our food came out pretty quickly, which was impressive. After finishing, we realized our crab pot didn't include the usual corn and potatoes, which was a bit of a bummer. Still, everything tasted great overall. I also liked that you can make your own drinks and grab extra items yourself--it's a nice touch. Honestly, everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

The decor was fun but it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I'm talking cob webs along the table and napkin holders that looks like they haven't been washed in a decade. The food was a bit expensive. The crab in both bags was not hot all the way through. The crawfish and shrimp were good. The lobster tail was ok but overall nothing spectacular. The problem we had wasn't necessarily with the service, although it was quite slow considering that there weren't very many other tables occupied. The main problem was with the quality of the food and drinks. I thought the gator kickers were good, and the Cajun fries were hot and crispy, so things started well, but it went south with our first round of drinks. Two people ordered beer - 1 draft beer and 1 longneck, and both tasted terribly skunky. We sent those back and just switched to water. When our food arrived, everything was hot and presented well ... until I noticed that several crawfish tails in my etoufee were dark gray. Im not talking about a vein running through it, but the full tail looked like a rotted toe. I had eaten several bites of it and it was seasoned well, but I stopped when I noticed the first dark gray tail. I looked through and saw a couple other gray ones and stopped eating. The icing on the cake was when the waitress took the 3/4 full beers away and bumped the table with the water pitcher, pouring water on the table, the seat next to me and down my leg, soaking my shorts and sock. Accidents happen, I get it, but she didn't apologize, offer me a towel or anything. We had to waive her down after not seeing her for almost 15 minutes just to get our check, so I guess the service wasn't very good either. This was our first time visiting, and we won't be back. I give 2 stars instead of 1 just because I liked the gator kickers.
