Similar to many reviews they quoted one price, but after reviewing the job it was higher than what was quoted. They do a good job and explained what they were doing. They also cleaned our dryer vent. Would I recommend them and use them again, but be prepared for a price difference between what was quoted.

The employee tried to resolve the issue, but the owner did not care. We asked for insurance and he would not give it. We contacted the BBB to help with the issue and Ugly Ductling did not respond to them. In order for the place to be in living condition again we had to hire a professional cleaning service. That cost an additional 5k. This company does not care about customers at all. It's a quick in and out job to them. I highly recommend never using them.

It was filthy because I haven't had it cleaned in a while. Although I wish I would have asked to see the dust in the machine just to measure how much dust had accumulated over 3 years. I feel good that I am breathing cleaner air and do not notice dust everywhere like before. I do think the pricing of the duct cleaning is a bit expensive for an apartment unit and the amount of time it took to clear out dust. However, I thought they did a stellar job and would schedule with them again.

He also noticed that our dryer area did not have the duct installed- texted me & asked if I wanted that done, I said yes, and he did it then and there. Once completed, he sent me before and after pictures and videos of the entire process. The pricing was very fair too. He did an excellent job, I will recommend this business to anyone!

What should have been a simple service appointment turned into weeks of frustration and a complete failure of professionalism. We requested a quote online, paid a deposit, and scheduled an appointment for a Sunday afternoon (2-5 pm). We never received a confirmation email, but assumed the booking went through. When we couldn't reach anyone by phone to confirm, we let it go. On Sunday morning at 10 am -- hours before our appointment -- we got a call telling us they don't have technicians working on Sundays. Nobody could explain how we were able to book a Sunday appointment through their own online system, or what we were supposed to do next. I called Monday and spoke with a manager who admitted this was a known issue with their scheduling system -- one they were "working to fix." I was offered a discount and rescheduled for the following Friday, 8 am-12 pm. Okay, frustrating, but I gave them another chance. Thursday evening, less than 24 hours before that appointment, we received a voicemail saying our Friday appointment was also being cancelled because of "another service." No explanation, no apology, no alternative offered. I called back furious. I made clear I wanted someone to show up for the appointment we had. The person I spoke to went to check with a manager -- who couldn't even be bothered to call me directly. When they called back, the answer was simply: reschedule for next week. No compensation. No acknowledgment of the repeated failures. Nothing. The only thing Air Flows Chicago did quickly and without issue was refund my deposit when I demanded it. One additional note: their online booking system never made clear which location -- Air Flows Chicago or Air Flows Chicago Belmont -- was handling our appointment. We still don't know. That lack of transparency is itself a problem, and it's why I'm posting this on both listings. Two cancellations. A known broken booking system they hadn't fixed. A manager who wouldn't get on the phone. And zero effort to make it right. Save yourself the headache and book someone else.

So where to begin??? I had a very bad experience with another company that came to clean out my vents. (That is a whole story in itself) So needless to say, I was still in the market to have my vents cleaned out. After my last experience, this time around I decided to do some research before choosing another cleaner. I searched for reviews on Yelp and stumbled across Ducts R Us. I went on their website and I liked that they had a lot of good information on there. They are also apart of the BBB which was a big factor on why I chose to use their services. I called and got a quote right over the phone. They quoted me a very reasonable price considering they cleaned the entire system, which included the furnace and dryer vent cleaning. The techs came out and were actually 10 minutes EARLY. You don't see that much anymore. lol They set up all the equipment and to be honest I was completely blown away by what I saw. The vacuum was very large and stayed outside my house. The last company brought in a little gas vacuum inside. Everything appeared very professional. Including the technicians! They showed me a video inspection before and after. The vents were so disgusting! I saw them again when they finished and OMG what a difference. My experience with this company was very pleasant. Night and day between the other company we used before. If your in need of this service, give them a try. read more

Charles & Michael arrived at my residence yesterday afternoon. Right on time.They had called ahead to let me know when they would be here. Both men very pleasant and informative. Clean, put shoe covers on before entering. They were there to do duct cleaning. Walked through my explaining the procedure and how they would go about it. My home has 20 vents, two story, with finished basement. Approximately 3000 sq ft. Ductwork had not been cleaned in over 10 years. I can not rave enough about these guys. No messing around. Clean , efficient and solid . Was showed before and after pictures. Amazing ! The ducts look practically new ! Cleaned furnance, cold air returns, 1 bathroom fan, and dryer vent. No sales pitch. No trying to upgrade. Just good solid work. I absolutely, 100% recommend Ducts R Us. From booking to finish just Amazing. Excellent price as well. Can't go wrong with these guys. Charles and Chris arrived on time and were extremely professional. They quickly set up and did an excellent job cleaning our ductwork with minimal disruption. They were efficient and informative. Charles advised us on when our ductwork should be cleaned again, showed us before/after photos of their work at our house, and gave us useful information on our air filter for our furnace. Chris was also very professional and helpful in answering our questions. Both worked diligently and were very polite. The fee involved is very reasonable. So we never knew that duct cleaning was this involved and had to be done on a regular basis on a home. In comes Ducts R Us who was not only prompt on time but so professional throughout. I was shocked at the level of dust we had accumulated in my parent's home and what the difference was afterwards. Charles was really efficient and their pricing is really competitive from what I found. They even offer coupons so take advantage of that. I would not hesitate to call these guys again for duct cleaning. Chris and Charles were outstanding and did a thorough job of cleaning out the vents from start to finish. Even though the job took them almost 6 hrs to finish (2 furnace house) and they had another appointment after us they were not rushing and meticulously handled every vent the same. Amazing! I have 2 HVAC systems and 2 Dryers. I was skeptical with the quote but realize I got a deal. Michael and his trainee Thomas were here for about 5.5 hrs and worked their butts off. There was so much for them to do. I appreciated the before and after pictures of my ducts which were pretty gross! They were very respectful, kept me informed. The air ducts in the home I just purchased were absolutely disgusting, they hadn't been cleaned, ever! DUCS R US did and absolutely amazing job getting years of god know what out of my home. I wish I could post before and after pics but I can tell you to take the time to look in your vent, if it looks bad near the opening, its worse inside. These guys are great. Respectful of your home as they bring in hoses, ladders, etc. A lot of care was taken. They tried to be as efficient and quick as they could. And the results are great. A he led an appointment between 11-4pm, they called at 5:30 to say the technician had run late with a job , said would offer a discount for my inconvenience and rescheduled. Next appointment, received a call the day of my appointment asking if they could come earlier than my 11-4pm time lot, I said yes! At 2pm no one had arrived, I called and was told that the truck had issues, asked if I would please reschedule AGIAN. Shame on me, I did, so here I sit today, no call last night to tell me the time window, I called and inquired. Nancy still doesn't have an answer for me, it's almost 2pm Terrible service, no respect for peoples time, they wait to get you on the books and string you along. Waste of two weeks trying to get this done.
