It is your garden variety "track" bar, but what they may lack in size or pizazz, they make up for with service. You don't have to wait for your beverages, they have a well stocked bar and aren't afraid to use it! The next one down the road, isn't very savory. It's bigger, but has bigger problems. Three years ago I reviewed The Track and left a favorable opinion. Today I stopped by for a beer and some food and was very disappointed. I agree with other recent reviewers, if you're not a regular expect VERY poor service. It seems like the people behind the bar are having a contest of who can best ignore and avoid eye contact with customers. A longstanding neighborhood sportsbar that has a great kitchen, in Rockwall County, on the Rowlett, TX side of Lake Ray Hubbard. In a sleepy little stripmall call Scenic Square with plenty of parking, and Valero fuel pumps [ gas & diesel ] if you are running on fumes. Staff has always been welcoming. I have family around here, but I grew up overseas, and worked in other states. If you are new to the area, The Track is actually a private club, they must ask to register your ID with a receipt. They need to have proof all drinkers are of legal age. FOOD! Yes, the grill here is pretty darn good. The weekend omelette is a damn good bargain, way better than Denny's, IHoP, or Waffle House! Track is sportsbar, with plenty of screens all around. A couple of video game machines. Restrooms always clean. Usually newer mellow country music overhead. Easy like a Sunday morning. read more

They did me well tonight at the track. My margarita was right, it had the perfect splash of oj and my rim was salted exceptionally. I needed something to absorb the substances I consumed, so I ordered tots , but I got creative with it, I asked them to add queso on it. Now, what I received when my order came to the table was something I never even knew I needed, they put my queso on the side. Let me tell you why this was intuitive; my tots was PERFECTLY crispy, if they added the queso on top, it would have ruined the texture, the crunch, the work of art. It is my belief that the chef cooking tonight is a Jedi because the force was truly with him or her. It's a neighborhood sports bar that has all the right ingredients for a night of fun. I'm usually there on a Friday night for karaoke. It's usually pretty packed in for a fun night of having lotsa drinks and a good time. I haven't ever seen anyone in the bar not get along and there are all types and all colors of people just looking to have some fun. Smoking is outside- which I appreciate. There's always a crowd so your never lonely. The drinks are plentiful. The food is great bar/grill food. Service at our tables is always good with several servers constantly rotating around keeping you from getting thirsty. That have all the drinks you can want and maybe a few more. The newest place in the mostly boring city I now reside in. Went in on a Friday night to eat dinner and have some cold wheat, hops, and barley soup in a bottle. This place used to be an Italian restaurant but you could never tell now. Big HDTV's, good grub for bar food, excellent service. It's always pretty crowded and hard to find a spot to sit but I guess that's a good thing. They do close pretty early, 11:00 I believe, but the Ramblin Rose can keep me entertained the rest of the night. It is smoky but not too bad. They need to keep the glass door next to the bar closed though, it gets kinda drafty by that door when it opens. Not a huge deal though, there's plenty of things at the bar to keep me warm. I did find the unisex restroom situation kinda odd, but not a big deal. Dudes, please outta respect for the gals, raise the lid and aim straight into the bowl. If you've had too much to drink, aim for the bowl in the middle. Overall, it's a pretty cool place given the lack of options in Rowlett. I kinda like the dive type places anyhow. This place really upset me the other night! I was there with my 11 year old daughter and my friend for my friends birthday. We went here because the time we went before the waitress was very attentive and nice, the place was cozy and friendly, and the food tasted great! However, this time was a nightmare! There was a new waitress this time and she was pretty rude! There was a couple sitting at the bar and they were all over each other and making out. My daughter was very uncomfortable about this and she wanted to leave without even finishing her meal! I kindly asked the couple to please take it down a notch because they were making my child uncomfortable. The guy proceeded to cuss me out horribly and even cussed at my daughter and made inappropriate comments to her! I was very angry! My friend went to the waitress and asked her to help with the situation (ie ask the couple to please be respectful of the other customers in the restaurant!). All the waitress did was walk up to the couple and say with a joking tone "she's mad at you for kissing" and walked away laughing! I guess they don't care about the comfort of their customers at all! My friend knows the owner of this place and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't like it that his waitress completely disregarded the comfort of the customers and wasn't more serious about the issue! I'm sure he would have been polite and asked the couple to not display their affection in such a manner that it disrespects and makes his other customers uncomfortable! I don't know, maybe I expect too much and expect people to be respectful, especially the staff at the place! We for sure will not be going back to this place because of what happened and how it was handled! Bill (owner), I hope you hear about this situation and handle it! I though there was a deck outside. So, here's my experience for tonight. I asked a staff what happened to her foot and she told me she broke it but she appeared to not want to respond. I asked another waitress what her name was and she said you don't need to know. That's fine. I asked yet another waitress about the deck in back and I was informed owner was there. I asked owner what happened to back deck and he specifically told me they never had one. Next thing I know is theyre telling me to pay my tab and never come back. I said I like this place. Why is it like this? I think owner got upset because I insisted that there use to be a back smoking area. That's on me. When I tried to apologize to owner, outside as I was leaving, he told me to keep on walking. 6'4" guy. Point I am making here is I like the people, most of the staff I like, the karaoke is awesome, drinks are reasonably priced. There was a sound bar on back door so I probably had this place mixed up with another place. I feel sad and the reason I feel sad is they don't want me there. That being said, I have no ill will. Not everybody will like me and I accept that. The place is clean, staff will be friendlier, they definitely need to sort their bathroom situation out. Friday Karaoke is really awesome. This review is NOT based on the bar itself... it's about the food! Great homemade salsa, it's fresh and you can taste all the flavors. I love spice... it doesn't have to be extremely hot to satisfy me. It's about all the flavors. Honestly the best salsa in Rowlett, hands down. The hot wings... perfect size and great buffalo flavor. Now, let's talk about the friend mushrooms... they were extremely tasty! I don't eat a lot of fried foods because of grease, etc. needless to say - no grease in the basket and none in the mushrooms. All mushroom and homemade batter. Let's not forget to mention the homemade blue cheese (large blue cheese crumbles) and ranch! Yum! This is a horrible place. Once my wife mentioned to the paternal grandparents, that maybe we should not slam multiple shots at the bar with their young (6?) grandson sitting at the bar. Her drink was physically taken and poured out. She was threatened with physical violence by the "owner" and his companions. The owner also called her both the "b" and "c" words. I don't come here often as it's not my "scene" so to speak. Although, that being said, the workers there are very friendly and welcoming. I'm not into sports or anything but they do a good job making me feel welcome. My Dad used to take me to this place and now I come by every so often, their menu isn't huge, but it has a decent variety. The prices are not bad either. The only negative thing I have to say is, like any other bar, they do sometimes have live music. I personally hate live music, because I can never hear anybody talking to me! So far I have been at night to watch the UFC fights and during the day for lunch and holy crap do they have lunch if your idea lunch is a great burger or a set of Chili cheese dogs and some of the best O-rings you ever had. and as bonus this Sunday I took both my kids with me for lunch it was about 12:30 when we got there the owner saw us walk so he in came over and was talking to my kids (not in a creepy hey kid you want some candy kind of way LOL but in a good way) then he pulled out the ginormus tool box opened it up and said have fun! Inside was a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii with lots of games I thought now that's a guy who has kids of his own very cool! So glad to find a decent bar/grill by my house. I have been three times now and had a great server every time. Justin was hilarious and i cant remember the other two girls names but they were really great. The food was good..we had sliders, chicken bites and fried pickles. (the pickles were a little salty but still good) No real drink specials on the night I was there but they do have weekday ones posted up. They had karaoke when I was there and the guy running it was really nice offering to move speakers so we could hear each other. I will def be back! read more

We went here for the very first time since we moved here over 13 years ago. Cold beer, clean place including the women's bathroom and good music. Had some wings that were tasty but the menu has a lot to offer. Bartender and GM recommended the burgers and catfish too. Will have to go back. Non smoking a huge plus. read more

Actually one of the best places to get a variety of really good sandwiches in this area. It's a bar and you would think it gonna be the typical out of the freezer food and maybe some is... I mean it's a bar! But the sandwiches I have ordered are made to order and are REALLY good!.... And did I mention this is a bar? So you can drink!!! ... And eat a good sandwich. For a cold beer, great food and friendly service you can't go wrong here! We head here for lunch here often and usually order the chicken sandwich and husband gets a burger. Local bar with bar fare. They have karaoke on Friday nights. They have a couple of video games to play. But no other bar games.

I had heard mixed reviews from members of my softball team so I decided to try it with my wife last weekend. Food took about 30 minutes, then it came out cold. My wife's wine glass had lipstick on it. The toilet was out of toilet paper, the place had an unbearable stench of smoke (especially since it is relatively new). Ashtrays at the bar were full of cigarette butts. To make matters worse, my wife said that 2-3 guys hit on her at the bar (including the bartender!) when she was trying to exchange her glass of wine. We ended up leaving and going to Glorias in Rockwall. Thank goodness we did because as we were getting in the parking lot to leave a guy puked out front. If your simply looking forward to watching the game and getting trashed then this is the place for you. But if you want some decent food, quality service, and a sanitary experience then you probably should look elsewhere. And for the dude who said he took his kids there...Are you nuts? read more
