This is my second time coming here. I do not remember the name of our server, but her name did begin with a K I believe. She was very sweet. I came here with my dinner group. I was the only one that had been there before everyone else was a newbie. I ended up getting the chicken Parmesan because last time I got the lasagna and it was as delicious as the lasagna. Unfortunately, they still don't have a liquor license and they do charge $10 for a corkage fee if you want to bring your own wine. Again, the bread was delicious and also was the limoncello cake. I came here on a Sunday at about 1 PM and it wasn't busy at all, but there were people picking up to go orders. I hope they get online soon so you can order that way and then just come pick it up. This was our first time getting to try out Due Amici and we also decided to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary here as well! We were greeting by the hostess and seated immediately. After receiving our complementary rolls we were greeting by our server, Payton, who did an insanely good job. Not only did she explain everything in great detail but really knew which parts of the menu truly complemented one another as well. After we ordered our appetizers we decided on sharing the Tour of Italy and it was such an amazing choice. We had more than enough leftovers even after the meal so it was amazing. Payton did a great job of checking on us multiple times and truly made our visit feel special. Her and the back were even nice enough to put the number 4 on our dessert tray we ordered to show why we were out celebrating the dinner. The only thing I wished there was more of was possibly some music in the background to truly represent it being an Italian Restaurant. Beyond that we will definitely be back and loved our visit. The dinner started with warm garlic rolls! Yum!!! I chose the Tortellini for my meal. It was so, so good, but would have been absolutely fabulous with a side of peppers and onions. I liked the tablecloths because It isn't an Italian restaurant without a checked table cloth. Also, the Italian music added to the ambiance. The food came out quick, and the server was very friendly. Finally made it to this new Italian spot located in the Helena area in a space previously occupied by a steakhouse. Interestingly enough, the only change they've made are the plaid table clothes. The wall decor is completed unchanged. Our party of six was seated immediately on an early Friday evening. They don't take reservations so this was a pleasant surprise. There is a good amount of street parking and an open lot across the street in the evenings. It's a pretty large menu, which is not always a good sign. Our delightful server, Hannah I believe, arrived immediately and was very enthusiastic about the menu offerings. In fact, she was the star of this dining experience. Warm garlic rolls with butter packages were brought to the table. Beverages are served in generic plastic cups. Our party ordered an assortment of things from traditional lasagna, ravioli, chicken piccata and shrimp scampi. In general, the food is unfortunately just a bit average and lackluster. For example, shrimp scampi does not usually have a strong lemon taste. Not only was the dish marred by lemon, it had an actual large lemon placed on top of the overcooked pasta. Sigh... I love a locally owned restaurant and will typically try to support those instead of the large chains. This place has some potential, particularly in the Helena community where there's not much competition, and the owners are very friendly. To start, I believe a smaller more selective menu might allow the kitchen (chef) to refine the dishes. Not much to brag about here so far. I do hope they improve and survive. C+ read more

I was really excited to try this place. I had read reviews that it was supposedly very authentic. I don't know. I walked in and it was very difficult to walk on their floors. My shoes were not gripping so be careful. For appetizer, we ordered the fried ravioli, which was good. It was stuffed with cheese and had a side of marinara sauce. The other item we ordered was mushroom stuffed with some type of seafood. It was very cold inside. It was covered with cheese on top and a nice sauce it was swimming in. For my lunch, I got pasta trio, which was three very small selections which honestly in the end just felt like it was all one thing because it was all squished together on one plate. It was just ok. My friend got the chicken piccata, which was a really huge dish. The rolls were probably my favorite. Very nice and buttery. I hate to say this, but I would not be back. It just didn't hit it for me. It didn't taste awful. I want to be clear about that. It just didn't do much for me to go back. The staff was very friendly. read more

Casual ambiance. Kind staff. We went during opening week, and they didn't anticipate the crowds so service was understandably slow with only two servers while it was super packed. Holy Smokes!! My second visit here. Both meals were fantastic. Bert's comes close, and Olive's and Joe's are further behind in the pecking order. The owner/manager dude gave us an impressive history of their quality standards. The food matched what was said. Everything tasted "homemade". There was something unique in every dish. The Caesar dressing had a hint of sweetness, totally unexpected and delicious. You could taste the cream and real butter in the Alfredo sauce. We will be back! read more

Unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet our expectations. The atmosphere is not well defined; it has the air of an old American grill bar or a Mexican restaurant, but nothing to do with an Italian restaurant. My dish was the Lobster Ravioli, four ravioli that didn't taste like lobster since the sauce, lumpy and boring, suffocated them. The servers were very Friendly and smiling, but there was no argument to defend a cold and burned lasagna. I want to ask for a little respect and effort from their owners because a few Italian Flags do not create real Italian food. read more

I ordered to go so I want to go ahead and start my review out with that. I ordered the Canneloni. I got an aluminum pie dish filled with cheese some meat and pasta. The over all dish was not pleasant looking and also was drowning in grease and oil. So much that it spilled out of the sealed pie dish and into the bag, thankfully they wrapped the paper bag it comes in, in a plastic bag. To add on to this the portions were not good sizes at all. I can pay the same price at Bertolones in Calera for the same dish and it comes out looking great, not drowning in grease, and I actually get full. Just extremely disappointing food. Not related to the food, the AI banner on the Facebook page is not a good look. Hopefully this restaurant can grow and do better in the future. read more

This was our 2nd visit in a week and again everything was delicious. This time we tried the meatballs, baked tortellini, shrimp scampi, and Tiramisu. I can't wait to continue venturing through the menu. I'll be really excited if/when they are able to serve alcohol so I can have a glass of wine with my pasta. read more

I only have two negative things to say about this place... the spaghetti portion was very small compared to the other dishes we ordered and the salmon piccata was lacking in flavor. Everything else was fantastic! My favorite items were the Alfredo and the fried raviolis! The service was incredible, we were served by one of owners, Nikko, I believe and he was very knowledgeable about the menu items. My new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing and the garlic knot rolls are fabulous. The prices are really really low. I hope they can keep them that low but even if they don't, I'll be back over and over again. For lunch, you get the rolls, a large salad and a big entree for about what you would spend at McDonald's! I'm not kidding. But you can order off the dinner menu at lunch too. My next visit I am going to try the lobster ravioli. Can't wait! read more

My wife and I decided to try Due Amici for the first time this Sunday morning when they opened at 11AM. When we had parked, we began walking the porch that runs along the multiple attached buildings looking for the restaurant. There was no restaurant sign outside its front nor rear entrances. My wife peered into the front door's window and saw a hostess desk and a host. We entered and confirmed this was Due Amici. We were the only patrons and were quickly seated. We were promptly greeted by Peyton who took and delivered our drink orders and let us know that a different server would be taking care of us. That's where things stopped being well handled. Our waiter, don't remember his name, but was the only male waiter today. He came over to our table about 15 minutes after Peyton had brought our drinks, to take our orders. He had so much cologne on that it was unbearable. He took our orders and then brought out some yummy fresh rolls. Our meals were brought out by other servers that were very attentive like Peyton was. My wife had Cheese Ravioli with Truffle sauce and I had Grandma's Lasagna. Both were delicious and hot. While we were eating our waiter never checked on us but Peyton did. He was on his phone and even took a FaceTime call while walking through the front of the restaurant. After that he had his back to us while standing by the register at the bar almost the whole time. He also he also went out back for a smoke break. Keep in mind, we are the only patrons there! He never checked to see how our food was nor if we needed anything. When we had finished our meals he was still standing there scrolling on his phone by the register with his back to us. When he finally looked up I waved him over. He saw that we had finished our meals and proceeded to remove all our dishes. My wife asked if we could get a to go box for the one remaining roll to take home to our son. He said sure and returned with a box of 4 fresh rolls and placed them in a carrying bag for us, which was a nice and generous surprise. Unfortunately, he left us and roamed around the front of the restaurant oblivious to everything but his phone. He totally forgot to bring us our check so we could settle up and leave. Thankfully, my wife was able to flag down Peyton who had just finished helping another serve to bring out meals to the only other customers that had just gotten there. My wife asked if she could ask our waiter to bring us our check and she said, "Absolutely!" and immediately got his attention and let him know we needed our check. It took over 15 minutes from the time he cleared our table and brought out rolls before we got Peyton to help us and for him to bring our check. He said nothing but brought our check that I promptly paid. He resumed scrolling on his phone after he brought out our receipt so we could finally leave. OMG! Everything was wonderful except him!! He totally made our time there tainted and disappointing. If we return, we will ask to sit in Peyton's section. read more

So good! I had the Cajun that has shrimp, crawfish, broccoli, and noodles. Very rich but delicious. Wife had the spaghetti works with pasta, meatball, and Italian sausage. Also good. Nice atmosphere. Lunch menu is inexpensive but filling amount of food. Bread garlic flavored and good. Side salad good. Service I think by one of the owners. We went at lunch and found the food outstanding. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo which was just the right amount of spice. My husband had manicotti and thought it was good, too. The bread was really good - our only complaint was the small charge for the herbed olive oil dip for the bread. Hoping they have their liquor license soon. I order the trio and it was all in one bowl mixed together as one dish. Waitress didn't serve salads before entree. It was all served together. She left us our ticket when she served the meal and never ask if we would like to try a dessert or needed more tea. She was not very well trained to wait tables.
