TRE LUNAAAAAA!! This place has been living rent free in my head since I left. One of my friends chose this restaurant for our girls night out & it was an absolutely perfect choice. We all agreed beforehand that we wanted to try a new place that felt pretty relaxed and had outdoor seating. This place gave everything, plus some! We didn't have to wait long for a table, and our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions & helped me decide what to order. The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. I ordered the fish of the day: Red Snapper w/a Sweet Pea, Tomato & Saffron Risotto 20/10 I always judge food on whether it's "first bite" good & every piece on my plate passed the test. One of my friends chose the Smoked Salmon Pizza, which I was a bit skeptical about at first, but I tried a slice & it was so good. Definitely an out of the ordinary pizza combo that made me rethink all the ways smoked salmon can be used. Another friend ordered the Grilled Ribeye w/Brussel Sprouts & Mashed Potatoes, she loved it! The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately. Tre Luna was perfect for a birthday celebration! I loved the small, cute space and the quiet, relaxing ambiance. Our waiter was amazing--knowledgeable, kind, and so attentive. The food was truly the star of the show. The short rib was tender and juicy, but the real standout was the chicken Parmesan. It was seasoned well, perfectly crispy, and honestly one of the best I've ever had--and I'm SUPER picky about chicken Parm, so that says a lot! For dessert, we tried the Brookie. Myself in a few friends, decided to come here after work for dinner. It probably has been over a year since I've been here. I was very surprised to learn that they sell soda by the bottle and about a 16 ounce soda is three dollars apiece which I found to be a little overpriced. So if you go there and like soda be expected to pay three dollars a bottle which honestly makes me not want to go back. We were there during happy hour, and we got spinach, dip, and Parmesan fries with garlic aïoli, which was delicious. They used to charge for the bread, but we got two servings and didn't have to pay for the second one. Our server, Tyler W was very attentive. Our drinks stayed full and he did recommend some dishes. I got the chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. A very good serving and I brought some of it home. I got the brookie as a dessert and that was equally delicious. Happy hour is from 4 PM to 5:30 pm during the week. The bathrooms were very clean as was the dining area. When you walk in, they do have some ready-made food for you to bring home and also some salad dressings. We sat by the window, which was very nice. If I do go back, I'll probably just stick with water or sweet tea. read more

The atmosphere allows you to feel like you're in for a great dining experience. Yesterday, we decided to celebrate 16 years of marriage by having dinner at Tre Luna. It did not disappoint. Our waiter, Matthew, was very good! He was super attentive, nice, and just pleasant to interact with--he even snapped our picture. This place is always busy but never disappoints. Came here for dinner and the wait was 30-40 minutes. We hung out at the bar and ended up sitting at the bar when a spot became available. Our waiter was Jacob and he was absolutely amazing!! I want him to be my waiter every time I come here moving forward. Excellent service from him. I ordered the braised short rib and the meat was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. Delicious! My friend got the scallops and she said they were amazing as well. We ended the night with the brookie and that dessert should be illegal. Warm and oh so delicious with a side of ice cream. We went to Tre Luna to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a wonderful experience. We arrived around 5:30 PM and took advantage of their happy hour specials. I had the meatballs with polenta, which was absolutely delicious! My friends ordered the spinach artichoke dip and the wedge salad, both of which were also a hit. For entrées, we tried the chicken caprese and the chicken with penne pasta; everything was flavorful and well-prepared. Service was excellent. Ronaldo took great care of us, and the self-declared "wine girl" made sure our glasses stayed full all evening. Despite a large crowd and what seemed like a full house, the ambiance remained warm and welcoming. One note for groups: large parties have their bills split evenly, so just be aware of that when planning. All in all, a great spot for a celebratory dinner; we'll definitely be back! read more

We opted for spinach dip, brussel sprouts, truffle fries and braised boneless beef short ribs as the entree. Every single item was a party for my tastebuds. Tre Luna is our favorite spot for the best raw oysters in Hoover, AL. The cozy atmosphere, lovely lighting, and friendly servers and bartenders make it a delightful place to visit. We love sitting at the bar or the pizza bar--either way, it's fantastic! We usually kick off our meal with their Beef Carpaccio and wedge salad, then enjoy their delicious local raw oysters to finish. This was my 2nd time visiting Tre Luna. When our party first got there, the restaurant was empty, but by 8 pm and on a week day, it was packed. Unfortunately we had to get there early because they don't accept reservations, and with a few of us going, we didn't want to have to wait for long so please keep that in mind. The food was pretty decent this time around. We ordered the spinach dip and the meatballs with polenta. Both dishes tasted very well however the polenta was served cold. For my main dish. I ordered the penne pasta and added chicken and shrimp. It was a pretty good dish. It tasted like any other pasta... so nothing too spectacular. It was served hot. What I really enjoyed about the pasta were the roasted tomatoes. They added a nice flavor to the pasta dish. All in all, a decent visit to Tre Luna. We have been Monday afternoon "regulars" at Tre Luna for some time...until recently. We will still go there periodically because we like the food there, but we are disappointed they chose to do away with most of their draft beer. They chose instead to replace them with wine taps. I realize wine and Italian food go together well, but we prefer beer. They also have drink specials, and a lot of people take advantage of those specials. We like their selection of northern oysters, and...at least to us...raw oysters just taste better with a glass of beer. I realize it is more than likely a petty reason to most people and not a "real" reason to not frequent a restaurant, but hubby and I like to have a beer with our dinner. Like I said above we will still go there...just not every Monday afternoon as in the past. read more

So if you are looking to celebrate a special occasion I would highly recommend this place. The whole ambiance and service were both exceptional. I got the pork chop as my entree. It was a huge serving! It came with a small side salad who's dressing was to die for! I want to take it home and bottle it if I could! I got some sort of lemon cocktail to drink which I also enjoyed. For dessert, I got the creme brulee. I typically am indifferent towards creme brulee, but this one was so sweet and creamy! I became a fan instantly. I went in for a date night and was very pleased with the experience. The lighting wasn't so dark that you couldn't read the menu, but dim enough to feel like a super nice dinner. The focaccia bread for the table was fluffy and the perfect amount of saltiness. The Erin'tini (basically an espresso martini) was not bitter and easy to drink. All of our food was excellent. The filet was delicious, and the braised pork pasta was perfectly decadent (fair warning though, there was a lot of cheese baked on top which I was not expecting). The flavor was excellent and the portion was very large. The spicy Moscow mules with homemade jalapeño vodka were delicious and refreshing. The buratta was great quality for the price. Friends told us about this place so while we were in B'ham we decided to give it a try. Really happy we did. The place offers up a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal. We started out with the beef carpaccio. Our server Juliet was quick with our drinks and very pleasant with her recommendations for our main course. Which were fantastic. For our main entre we had braised ribs and the seared scallops. Which were recommended by our server Juliet. The wine paring and the manner of professional service we received really made our evening out at Treluna a special one. The service from Juliet was top notch and professional. His service was absolutely outstanding and he was very knowledgeable of both the specials and their regular offerings. Tucked in the corner of the shopping plaza, you might miss it if you didn't notice the patio. Incredible staff, especially Louis who is friendly but not intrusive, great personality with impeccable manners. His recommendations ended up being my favorite choices. We came for happy hour and had the margaritas, braised beef short rib sliders, spinach and dip, and the Tre Luna Bowl which was a beautiful presentation of yummy goodness of asparagus, sweet potatos, roasted red peppers, and avocado. Definitely recommend adding grilled salmon or shrimp for additional protein. My dessert was the Brown Butter Old Fashion. OOOMMMGGGEEE. Best version of my go to drink ever. I could have drank two more but had dinner reservations and couldn't fathom picking myself off the ground. This is definitely a favorite spot and will be on my list for a return trip. My family and I have been loyal customers of this restaurant for years. It was one of our favorite takeout spots during Covid and remains a top choice in town. While we have always loved the food, I had an experience last night that truly went above and beyond my expectations. I had placed an order for a few appetizers to pick up for a small gathering at home, including two spinach and artichoke dips when my husband brought the order home, I noticed that the two dips combined didn't even fill an 8 ounce ramekin. At $12 each I was pretty disappointed. Normally, I don't take the time to call and complain, but I felt it was important to let the restaurant know, so others wouldn't face the same issue. I spoke with the manager, who was very kind and offered to replace the dips for free if I came to pick them up. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to do that. To my surprise, just five minutes after our call, the owner of the restaurant reached out to me personally. She offered to deliver a replacement to my home within 30 minutes. I initially declined as I didn't want to inconvenience anyone over something so small. But once she realize where I live, she assured me it was no trouble since she was heading in that direction. She explained that it as a family own business, ensuring customer satisfaction was incredibly important to her. True to her word, she arrived at my home within 30 minutes with a fresh, full container of spinach and artichoke dip. I was blown away by this level of service - I've never experienced anything like it before. This restaurant has earned a customer for life! read more

This is hands down one of Hoover's best restaurants. The portions were pretty big and they brought complementary focaccia before our food was served. I absolutely loved the chicken Francese, the buttery lemon sauce was incredible and the Brussels sprouts were to die for.
