We ordered out so can't talk about the ambiance or service BUT as for the food, I was NOT impressed! The first thing k I saw was the lasagna pizza. I read the reviews and it said it was delicious. If the lol wasn't enough then after I tasted it, I'd have to disagree 100%! FIRST of all where are there blobs of marinara all over and the ricotta needs to be SPREAD not just plopped on in chunks! Lasagna needs to be in LAYERS, I feel like I woulda been better off just getting the pasta smh DO BETTER! read more

Right on 7th have in the heart of Ybor city this place is amazing! Honestly one of the best slices of pizza I have ever eaten! All the pizzas displayed looked like works of art! Service was amazing and atmosphere was like a high end Italian kitchen. Will eat here every time I'm in town! Couldn't recommend this place enough!!! Follow up: I've been here 3 times in 3 days!!! Out in Tampa for a quick weekend trip and saw the is spot had 4 1/2 stars on Yelp! Decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The group I was with all got pizza! Their slices were huge and looked pretty damn scrumptious, but I went with the spaghetti and meatballs! The sauce was really good. Fresh tomatoes and perfectly spiced. The noodles were Al Dente and the meatballs prefect texture and flavor! Being a Monday around 11:00 am the place was packed. That's always a good sign. The service was amazing! The restaurant is huge, clean and great decor. They have an area packed with jars of their sauce and noodles for purchase! This was definitely some good ole Italian food! Delicious! read more

This is an amazing pizza spot and even better pasta spot. Stopped here to grab a quick bite to eat. There was a parade going on, and luckily for us the restaurants were empty. Came inside and it was a little bit confusing on how to order the food. The lady was kind enough to let us know: the pizzas are ordered where the pizza is located physically and anything else is ordered with her. We decided to order two pasta dishes, and about eight slices of pizza. I can tell you that each slice of pizza they have was unique they were all delicious. They were warmed in the oven. The kids and my husband ate all the food. I was happy when the pasta came. The pasta was absolutely delicious. I would love to come back for the pasta. Literally crack in a bowl. The pasta is for sure made in house as is the sauce. It was authentic and so tasty. If I go back to Tampa I may hit up this spot again in Ybor city. read more

The pizza is great that's a no-brainer. Pasta is also very good. What blows me away is that almost every time I come in here with my little one, they drop a dessert off at the table. They're so nice! After hearing so much hype around Due Amici, I decided to stop in on an afternoon and give it a shot. It's spacious inside and there's enough seating to accommodate families. We ordered a salad and four different slices of pizza. Overall, the pizza was OK but nothing to rave about. It was slightly bland to me. My boyfriend enjoyed his slices but agreed it was not rave-worthy. Maybe the hype of the pizza revolves after a night of drinking? I'm not sure but I am willing to give it another shot. read more

Well, we were at the Ybor city farmers market and I came onto yelp to look for a place to eat and I asked a couple people and they suggested this place so we walked down and it was phenomenal. Had that cool old world vibe to it. The pizza was very good. Definitely top notch compared to other Florida places. It compares to NYC, which is saying a lot. They didn't have a Sicilian slices and the guy didn't know what that was. I asked someone else and they explained they had run out. The pizza is fresh out of the oven. The food was overall ok. The Mozzarella stick were just ok however the sauce was cold. We ordered chicken parm panini, chicken pesto, pasta, baked ziti, and an extremely over priced, a slice of caprese pizza for $6.77.... Kinda nuts. The food had good flavor and came out quick but the both the chicken parm and pesto chicken was over cooked and a bit rubbery. I think it was quite over priced for what we got, but hey what do I know. There was also several 3% fees, attached to the bill that you didn't see until after you pay. read more

I adore this place with all my heart. This place was one of the first places I came to eat with my family and the owner was so kind and welcoming to us when we had mentioned that I would be moving out here. It really speaks volumes how they value their customers being in such a lively location, especially being open late for late night pizza cravings after the bar. The pizza makes me so happy and they a good variety to choose from, always cycling the pizzas in and out to keep the supply available. The line is usually long as the night goes on, but watching the pizza get made while you're in line just adds the anticipation. What can I say? Due Amici Pizza & Pasta Bar is hands down my favorite pizza spot in Ybor. The interior decor is unique and sets it apart from your typical pizza joint. The owner, Gio, has an infectious and welcoming personality and always makes me feel valued. The pizza makers behind the counter are equally friendly and skilled, and the ladies in the bakery are always ready to recommend their delectable desserts. I've sampled many of their pizza options, pasta dishes, and desserts, and I can honestly say I have yet to find something that I haven't enjoyed. I particularly love visiting during the day when I can sit and savor my food without feeling rushed. I feel guilty for not having reviewed this restaurant sooner! Wife and I have been going to Due Amici for many years for a few slices of pizza. This afternoon I ordered the Meatball pharm sandwich. The bread was toasted to much, hardly any sauce and the meatballs were dry and overcooked. I didn't finish half of he sandwich and threw the other half away. The cost of the sandwich was close to $22, total waste of money. I informed the person behind the pizza counter where I ordered and paid for the sandwich, and he only said was he will let someone know. Also, they no longer take cash, only credit card and charge extra fee for that. Use to enjoy going here, seems this business has forgotten it's roots and cut corners. Not going back anytime soon. read more

Amazing place to eat! After stumbling upon here walking down the street from our hotel, it was absolutely the right choice. The cavatelli pasta with meat sauce was incredibly delicious and the garlic knot was divine. The service was also amazing! We were greeted promptly and treated with kindness and warmth. Yes it's really large pie and yes the toppings are ample, which I applaud in comparison to some other places. So why the 3 star rating: 1. Crust - the crust was way too thick and "gummy".... because it was wayyyyyyy too thick. This is NOT a NY style crust. 2. Cheese - I am a cheese LOVER and sometimes order extra cheese if I'm ordering from a place where I know the amount of cheese will be slight. In this case there was a lot of cheese.....possibly to make up for the thicker crust. But all that amounted to was a bite that could choke you between the overly thick crust and abundance of cheese. Not even sure the cheese they use is could for pizza based the "melt"...if you eat a lot pizza and understand quality, you know what I mean. In the end, the flavor isn't the worst but I wouldn't order again, even if I was in a pinch....separately wanting pizza....from somewhere....sadly this place isn't it for me. read more

As with our first visit (my first review is somewhere below), everything was phenomenal. We chose a few different items this time to share and were again impressed with each. We love that you order your entire meal at once and the staff perfectly courses out the meal for you. Last night, we had the waygu carpaccio, the tableside mozzarella, cappallacci al'aragosta (lobster pasta), pesce alla ligure (branzino), and the bistecca (waygu beef strip). The carpaccio was absolutely fantastic. The mushroom "relish" under the beef was the star accompaniment with its salty goodness. The tableside mozzarella was unique and probably the best cheese I've ever had. It is made fresh tableside and then plated as a nice caprese salad with yummy, locally grown tomatoes, flaky sea salt, basil, Spanish olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. Simply incredible. The lobster pasta was inventive and tasty. This was coursed out between the mozzarella and our main dishes and was the perfect way for each of us to try it. The waygu beef strip was cooked to perfection (med rare), sliced and plated with some crispy beef fat bits (hubby loved!), a chimichurri sauce and roasted garlic. The steak was absolutely delicious and the chimichurri sauce was a nice addition. The branzino was the highlight of the dinner again. Presentation of the entire fish with the crispy potatoes, olives, and chef-served sauce is simply incredible. The fish with the sauce is such a wonderful, flavorful combination that I believe it is the best fish I've ever had. For dessert we ordered the apple tart and pistachio gelato. Both were wonderful but the pistachio gelato was phenomenal. The lemon zest on top, the honey drizzle and the added crunch of the pistachio pieces sprinkled overtop made for an absolute perfect bite everything. Everything we have tried here has been stellar and it isn't difficult to understand why they are Michelin rated. Ambiance, service, food quality and portions are all expertly executed. Rocca is now in our regular rotation and we already cannot wait to go back!

He did spend more time at his other tables and even though they were seated after us, seemed to be handled and served before us. Next the place had many managers milling about as I counted 5 or 6 constantly moving about the Resteraunt. Not one ever made an attempt to stop by our table during our service. I find that a huge negative for a Michelin Star designated restaurant. One note the table next to us of six sat down and for some reason the managers flocked onto that table all smiles and giggles so I'm guessing that was some VIP worthy of their attention. Let's talk food and drink now the bar menu selection is good and priced in par with other restaurants but it did have some high end offerings available. Menu is good not large but some good offerings. Bread service was good at $8.00 for 2 pieces of sourdough and two focaccia. The mozzarella cart was most likely the best part of the service. The server was engaging and it's interesting to watch the process (which we do at home and are familiar with it). The Tagliolini with Ragu was good the Angnolotti fair. We expected a better experience and left somewhat disappointed by the visit. On the bill there is a charge listed as a facility fee. Not quite sure what that is but it was 2% of the bill so why argue over it.
