I took the car I bought from Carvana 10 days ago (2025 Santa Cruz still under warranty) to Hyundai's service center and they told me that the battery that was in my car was after market and that I left my lights on and that was my problem they charged it and sent me on my way. Well I took it home and the very next morning it was dead again. I called roadside assistance and they gave me a jump and told me the battery was bad. This is the second battery that has been in a car that is not even a year old clearly there is something else wrong with it. I cannot get them to do anything because I bought it from Carvana and not from them. The manager told me this. This is the 3rd time my battery died. read more

We were given a price for a vehicle on a Saturday. Returned the VERY next day to test drive with cash deposit in hand. We did the test drive and were ready to make the purchase. The finance guy was extremely unprofessional and very unfriendly from the beginning. He didn't even bring us to his office to do the paperwork. He said there was no way he would honor the price we were given the day before and therefore there was nothing more to talk about because he was not changing his mind. Little did he know that the GM, Casey, had already APPROVED the price. We left the dealership just to return 5 minutes later because we were told to return and ask for the GM, Casey. When we returned, we did speak w/Casey. Unfortunately, he was completely dishonest with us. He did say he would honor the $24.9 but someone "put a deposit on it." I asked if someone put a deposit on it before or after we left. He said it was that morning. I knew this was not true, because I was already told by the sales guy that no deposit had been put down because the other party was from Bowling Green and they were waiting to see if we made the purchase. But I let Casey continue to be dishonest. When we're leaving, the salesman told me he called them right after we left and that's when they put a deposit down. We literally had cash deposit in hand and ready to purchase. This is truly a shame that the salesmen were the ONLY ones honest through this process. Just got screwed by service department. Brought my car in for an ABS recall. It was to change a fuse. I get a text saying all of a sudden all of my brake lights have burnt up. They want 100 dollars to change them. We live 5 minutes away. I followed my wife over to the dealer so I could take her to work. Brake lights worked. Now they denting there was a problem and the car came in that way. They said it was our problem. Don't trust them for a second. Looking at reviews before this one and I see this. Coincidence? Save your money. Go to another dealer. "Service manager was very rude and very unhelpful. My car went in with a motor recall came out with more problems, battery fuse issues and Jackson said it was on me? Wasn't broke before the motor blew up but it is now go figure? These people LIE!! Do not buy from them! I bought a 2025 Tucson that had been used as a "dealer" car, it had 4200 miles on it. It also had a scratch on the passenger side roof rack that they promised would be fixed before delivering the car. One week had gone by and the car had not been delivered. I called to check on it and also ask if the scratch had been fixed. I was ASSURED that it was. Car was delivered, scratch was NOT fixed. I do not like liars!! I called to speak to manager, he was "on vacation" and would call me the next Monday. That was two weeks ago! Liars!! read more

I wouldn't recommend on buying a car from here. When I test drove my car, there was a tire sensor light on. the salesman told me they would fix that before I bought it. (that was a lie, after I purchased it he told me they couldn't replace tire sensor.) The back door wouldn't lock or unlock I had to pay 140.00 to fix that. along with the heat going out.. i havent even made my first car payment yet now my car is running hot. We have had issues with the vehicle we bought for Hyundai of Evansville. The service department has not been very helpful. We live over an hour away and did not offer a loaner car to be able to work on ours. They could not find the problem with the vehicle when we first took it to them and not several months later we are having the same issue. I would not recommend buying from them. read more

Disappointed after being a loyal customer for 10+ years, 3 brand new cars purchased and serviced every 3 to 5 months. Historically, our service bill generally ran around $100 per service never more than $300 for factory recommended maintenance, but in the past 12 months, every time we took the car in for an oil change, we were presented with a quote exceeding $800 Then in June this year, we had a break down at around 24,000 miles (2018 Sonata Hybrid) all lights came on dash and car went into Limp mode. The dealership service department took a look and said they reset the diagnostics and couldn't find a problem, no charge. A couple of weeks later the same thing happened again. This time, two days after our car had been towed to the Evansville dealership, we'd heard nothing nothing so we reached out to be told not to contact them, they will contact us. This was then shortly followed by an estimate for $1200 for a whole bunch of extra services unrelated to the break down (flush brake fluid, Clean fuel system and perform a wheel alignment etc. And to top if off just a few weeks earlier during a service, we'd asked for Re-alignment check due to tire wear but was told the first set of tires are softer to reduce road noise alignment was fine) and confirmation that they'd not actually looked at the car's issue yet. So we reached out to John Hawkins and Casey Adcock (General Sales Managers) and asked to just get the problem fixed I'm not interested in non-essential upsell. Several more days later they advised that they had to replaced the engine "knock sensor" under warranty and then presented us with another quote highlighting "Critical service items" ~$800, which again consisted of a wheel alignment check, flush break fluids etc, all non-essential maintenance items. As a result of these past 4 to 5 interactions, we've lost complete trust, and stopped going there. We've now has our last two services carried out by Full Throttle Auto on the North Side of Evansville. Sadly it seems their business model has shifted from a focus on customer care to "nickel and diming" - A real shame. read more

I bought a 2022 Santa Fe from Evansville Hyundai. Since then i have taken it in twice for fuel injector problems. Now it has happened again. When i bought the car i was sold on the best warranty in the business and if i ever had an issue bring it in and if they can't fix it right away they would provide me a loaner vehicle free of charge and fix the issue. Well every time the fuel injector issues happen they want to schedule me out a week or two and they always happen to be out of loaner vehicles. The manager and general managers are always not in the office to address any issues. I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them as they cant honor their word or their warranty. read more

I truly think there was a miscommunication in what my charging process would be and luckily for me, they rectified the situation beyond my expectation. I bought a 2022 Tucsun limited it only has 24,000 miles on it. it already has a tear in the seat by where your knee touches it, the Back portion has a spot that's ruff like the heated seats melted it, and my steering wheel coating is coming off.. I called service dept. Several times with no answer and no call back. I finally had to call a different dealership and they told me hyundai wouldn't cover any of the repairs. So I have a new Car with 24,000 miles on it and the interior is coming apart and Hyundai won't do anything about it..they advertise about it Coming with all these warranties but apparently doesn't fix anything. Ok a little back round is in order, I have owned 5 Hyundai's all except a Tiberon which had and alignment problem the factory could not fix were excellent excellent vehicles. My salesmen John Allen allowed me to drive as many cars as I needed to make a decision on what model I wanted to purchase. I have owned Mazda's, Subaru's, Ford's and Honda's and a couple of Pontiac Grand-ams (which were not the greatest built cars) the 6 or so VW bugs in my teens don't count. But I keep coming back to the Hyundai brand because they offer a good product mix and are a very reliable car with an excellent warrantee. I bought a Elantra N-Line 6 speed manual, I have owned an Elantra manual in the past and I really liked that car. I love this N-line, it is a great driving car. and the more I drive it the happier I am with the decision I made. I think I spent at least 30 hours of watching car reviews on YouTube. The purchase was simple and fast, No finance office games where they try to tack on any number of add-ons. I was in and out and on the road in about an hour or less. Did I get a great deal, I have no idea and don't really care I got what I wanted for the price point I wanted to spend. Maybe I could of saved a grand or 2 at the end of the year but to wait 6 months or so to save a few bucks does not make much sense to me. People make to much about getting a great deal IMO when they should focus on getting a great car that meets their needs and provides a sense of enjoyment every time get in to drive it. If you have to own a car might as well love it. You can see why this dealership moves thousands of cars a year, they are straight shooters no BS and no pressure. Oh and I could take the car out, with out John in the car for the test drive. THAT just does not happen in Los Angeles. Reading the reviews some are great and some are not, it's kind of like restaurants some people have a good experience some do not. You never get to hear the story from both sides. Evansville Hyundai is a 3 hour drive from my house; however, I discovered it through the Edmunds.com app and had a great experience buying a new car from Jim Schneider who is the Internet sales manager. This dealership has embraced the internet and we were able to negotiate the deal over the phone. Many other dealerships were unwilling to do this which is why we drove so far to buy a car. We showed up to get the car and the delivery process was great. I'll definitely give Jim first chance at the next car I purchase. read more

He proceeds to tell me that the price is over msrp, I said ok what is that. He says, $4k over the price (It was for a 18k car) that is listed on the internet. Hello!!!!!.....why are you putting a price that is $4k less on the internet and then marking up the price when people contact you or you go in to look at a car (false advertisement much?). We have our own business and we can't do this. This is beyond price gouging, then you offer crap for my car. Thats a little double dipping. I have a 2018 kia optima I purchased new and I loved the dealerships there, but after this interaction with Jordan I dont know if Ill be back. We bought two Hyundai Velosters from this dealer. We sold one because we couldn't take it anymore. While vehicle quality is beyond the dealers control, the treatment you receive from them is not. The last of several times we had to bring in one of our Velosters for warranty work they wanted to charge us $100 to determine whether or not the repair was covered under the crowning jewel reason they sell you on buying their cars: a 10 year/100,000 warranty. So each time your car fails they want to charge you $100 plus any deductibles to fix it. I don't recommend this dealer for they way the way they treat their customers--not for how unreliable one of our cars is. Edited to add: A response posted here from the dealership inferred we were some how ultimately satisfied with the way they treated us. We were not. We will never do business with them again and recommend you dont either. read more

In my 70 years, I have purchased a LOT of new and used vehicles. To say that I might be jaded toward car salesmen is perhaps an understatement. Many of these transactions have been frustrating, aggravating and a waste of my limited time. The salesmen have been ill-informed, pushy, rude, condescending and dishonest...at best. I drove from Farmington MO to Evansville Hyundai to purchase a low mileage like new 2015 Genesis Coupe with heightened apprehensions that this would be yet another exercise in futility and frustration. Much like heading to the dentist knowing that a root canal awaits you. However, my meeting with John Allen was a refreshing, productive and enjoyable change of pace. John was direct, candid, and professional the entire time. He answered my questions to the best of his ability and when he did not know the answer he did not attempt to mislead me with his "best guess". Instead, he told me he didn't know if the dealership had the maintenance records I had asked for and went to see if he could locate them. How refreshing and unexpected...to hear a truthful response from a car salesman. I began to realize...this is not your typical car salesman or car dealership. John was mindful of our time yet was anxious to address any questions or concerns that I had. He escorted me to the car and allowed me to inspect every area that I had on my checklist. He remained patient while I continued to inspect and at no time did he intervene to offer a laundry list of selling points. There was no sales pitch and he did what I appreciate best about an excellent salesman. He allowed the product to sell itself. When I was satisfied that this Genesis Coupe met my needs in every respect, we then began the negotiation process over price. That portion of a sale that is so often contentious...went surprisingly smooth. I made my case as to the value I perceived in the car and John made his case as to what flexibility there might be... and in a matter of minutes, we had come to a clear agreement. There was no argument... no gnashing of teeth, no cat and mouse antics. We had a sale. When it was over I think we both felt it was a win/win for both parties and that we left with mutual respect for each other. What I do know is that if I have the need for another Hyundai...I have no reservations in driving another 192 miles each way to purchase another car from John. This was the most enjoyable and satisfying vehicle purchase I have ever made. Bar none. Even my wife commented when we drove back to pick up the car that "John really seems to be a nice man. As always Bryan Mann came through for me and my family. We have purchased over 15 vehicle from this dealership over the years and all but the first two were with Bryan. He is amazing guy helpful, and goes out of his way to get you what you need. I would have given a 5 if the finance portion was better. That office has inherently been problematic. In this deal they told us Friday night the deal was financed, but when we went to pick up the vehicle the truth came out...they were having problems. If they had said something I could have told them I already was pre-approved by my credit union...but no, they have to be sneaky and run who knows how many credit requests. Replace the finance department and manager and I will hopefully be able to give you a 5! read more

We had a broken handle and a window motor. The price was great compared to other repair shops. $300 less actually. The only problem we had is the lack of communication between the parts department and the schedulers. Hyundai was supposed to call us when the handle was in to get it fixed. We had to call them. Also, the lady who is in the scheduling department is kind of rude. Everyone else was pretty nice. read more

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from Evansville Hyundai and my experience was excellent. The sales man listened to the needs of my family and was not pushy. I have only owned the vehicle for a week so I have not experienced any service issues or other personnel. My salesperson called to check in after a few days and answer any questions that I may have. The transaction of the car was smooth and they gave me a fair deal for my trade. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. The finance gentleman that closed our deal was unfriendly and lacked good customer service qualities but he was a very small portion of our adventure. Iwould give 0 stars if I could but I'm required to give 1. I took my xg 350 to the service department here to have my brakes checked. They proceded to tell me I needed $6000 worth of work done to my car.....including my motor and trans rebuilt. Told me my car wasn't safe to drive then tried to sell me a new one. I then took my car to a different dealership who said my vehicle was fine and was not a safety hazard. This was 3 yrs ago... I am still driving the car and have not had to replace anything on my car but the tires. I would definitely discourage people from having their cars serviced there.....they are clearly scam artist or don't know what they're doing. Either way, steer clear! read more
