We had to already postponed our trip to the Channel Islands for a couple of days for other reasons, so for them to have this part was a miracle. I had called earlier in the day and received a call back from George and Jerry about the part being available, they were very kind and helpful. When I arrived they made sure to make sure my old one lined up with the new one by measuring the specs on it, I found this to be good business practice to ensure your customer is getting the right part they also offered the part to me for a great price considering I could find this in the same day. I got a used motor and it went bad within the 30 day warranty. Brad offered to trade it in for…read moresame brand (Johnson) and same horsepower (115) for a newer year, 1986 for a 1989. Sounded good to me. Unfortunately for me, this engine blew out while I was starting it in my drive way. It was about 3 months past the warranty, I called Brad to take a look at it to find out what was wrong and have it fixed. He took a look at it and then never got back to me. I called Elio and he told me Brad didn't want work on it and it was probably my fault it went out. WTF. That was in February. Now I got to get someone else to fix it and need to get them info on it. So I go look up serial number. Turns out this Johnson was not an 89, it was 1979. My impression of their used outboard business is this: They get the motors working, slap it on your boat, and hope it lasts past the 30 day warranty. I am super disappointed. I could say more but I am done typing. Check my profile. I never leave reviews. I felt my experience with Amber Marine was so bad I felt compelled to leave this review. They suck. Needed 50 feet of chain for the replacement anchor on our boat…read more West marine had what we needed. Including shackles to connect the chain to the anchor. Friendly and helpful staff quickly measured out the 50 feet, cut the chain, got us a cart to put it in, and wrote out the ticket.

Management PLEASE RETRAIN your employees. Again none of them even asked us if they could help us not one even said Hello after just staring at us like WTF? The bathroom was flooded looked like the toilet and urinal were both flooded or leaking and no one bothered to clean it up instead they just put a slippery sign on the floor. With 10 employees hanging around not doing crap, one of them could have mopped the bathroom or tried to do something about the leak or flood right? I've heard many people say they get their cars towed just by parking right in front of the store which is beyond a slap in the face. Thank god I did not have this issue as I was only in the store like 15minutes.
