I was able to get a morning weekend appointment which was wonderful. They seemed to move patients in and out with speed and precision and I scheduled online which was a breeze. All in all, for a procedure I think no one enjoys, it was as pleasant as it could be.

I called the office less than a week ago and they were able to get me into my preferred location this week. I arrived to my appointment today and walked into a friendly staff, short wait time (was seen right on time), and a warm environment. I could not have asked for a better ultrasound tech. Ariana (Ari), is a doll! From the warm gel to explaining what I'd be feeling, she truly is there for patients. I arrived with a VERY full bladder and she made sure I was comfortable until I could use the restroom. She even shared a story to keep me distracted during the first part of the exam - the sweetest! My chiropractor sent a referral to Advantage Plus MRI clearly stating an order for a lumbar MRI. Advantage Plus MRI reached out to me complaining that the instructions were not clear, and that they wanted my chiropractor to send another referral. Advantage Plus MRI then reached out to my attorney asking for my UM/UIM coverage limits. My limits ($30,000 per person) were then sent to Advantage Plus MRI. They then denied to do the imaging. The main frustration, of course, is not that Advantage Plus MRI seemingly arbitrarily denied to do the imaging, but that they drew out the process for a week or more, which ultimately has unnecessarily delayed my treatment.

I had a great experience here. I had an MRI of the brain…read morelasting just under 40 minutes with IV contrast. This facility is the only one in Sutter in our area that has an ultrasound and nurse on staff for visualizing veins for the IV insertion. I asked! As soon as I was dressed in the hospital gown, Carly was the nurse who ably, quickly, and painlessly put in the IV line in a couple minutes. She had a competent and kind nature. I was very grateful as my MRI in February required 9 tries with lots of pokes and 45 minutes for a successful IV placement-all this happened while I was in the head cage midway through the MRI and I had to remain still. A bit of trauma remains from that experience. Jim was the MRI technician and he was no-nonsense, reassuring, professional, and all around excellent. The 3T MRI machine at this location was super comfortable and the head cage which keeps your head still was ample in size compared to others I've been in. The comfort factor of the machine was excellent. They had a film playing nature scenes and a radio station selection which helped to distract me. The MRI experience was 5/5 Signage to the imagining center was so poor we had to drive in a circle to find the suite which added unnecessary stress for a time sensitive check in. We followed the arrows but were led astray. Imaging is at the very front- and there are two separate imaging suites to top it off. There are three different medical entities in three very large multi suite adjacent buildings- Kaiser, Sutter, and UC Davis. It was also confusing to leave the imaging center to the lobby after getting dressed...again, better signs would help a lot. You are a bit confused after some of these tests.

At the time of this review, walk in patients are not allowed until 8 am (the facility opens at 4:45…read moream). I arrived ten minutes before 8, was checked in, and told I had an hour wait. I was finally seen at 9:30 (all those Urgent Care patients again....) So the key is to show up very early (on a weekday, btw) and bring a good book. The poor technician was rushing around like crazy. I arrived to my appointment and was greeted by a very friendly front office staff, then called back on time by the best technician. Cassie is a woman's dream technician when it comes to mammograms, making the entire process so easy. I was in and out in no time, with much less discomfort than usual. This was the smoothest annual mammogram to date. Appreciate this team making it easy to check it off the list for the year.

Something is wrong here, I don't have any confidence they have their act together. They also suddenly no longer do X-rays here, you have to go to a location over a mile away.

This bill included an $87 charge for a 'consultation' that never actually happened, and no one mentioned this fee to me during my visit. I will absolutely not be returning to this place. I told them about my perception drugs I'm on and also I smoke thc which I have a license for but they failed me. So I called my job and they said to just show my license and it would be fine. So I went back the next day. They filled my documents wrong so I asked them to contact my employer. They didn't seem to happy about that. My fiancé heard them whispering about it. Which is against hippa laws. And one girl was eating chips behind the counter after they just got back from break. They kept asking me if I did other drugs like lsd when they just did my drug test less than 24 hours ago. I had a physical with my main doctor and it was a full physical. The doctor that did mine her literally was done in 5 minutes. No reflex check or anything like that. The only reason I came here was because my job is works with them specifically. If it weren't for that I would have gone to my main doctor or to quest diagnostics. Overall I had a bad esperance. They were not sanitizing or practicing covid rules. Or the more cost-effective route was jumping ship to a whole new chiropractor. After researching both independent and well-known chiropractor offices in the greater Sacramento area, I finally settled with "The Joint Chiropractic" in Citrus Heights. Located directly on the corner of Madison Ave/Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights, this location has been around since 2017. Many of you already know this but The Joint is a nationwide business and (as of mid-2026), they have over 500 locations across the United States. This can definitely have its ups and downs including available timeslots, reputable/reliable staff, and the interpersonal care with the customers. The primary reason why I signed up was definitely the price as they were offering a $29 new patient special as this included the consultation, exam, and adjustment. However, signing up with that $29 price means that you are obligated to purchase a specific plan for a future visit. Since I was already going 3-4 times a month to my previous chiropractor, I opted for the "Wellness Plan" which costs $89/month for up to 4 visits. I ended up coming here during the morning of Saturday 5/23/2026 at around 10:15am. Since I had scheduled my appointment online for 10:30am (which was initially a walk-in appointment and adjustment), I had no idea how long this was going to take. After checking in and filling out my new patient registration form (through an iPad), I waited in the lobby until I was told by the receptionist that I would be up next. Total time from when I walked in until I was seen was about 30 minutes; not too bad for a Saturday morning. What is quite intriguing and could possibly draw people away is that you can see every patient getting their adjustments. No curtain, no drape, just an open layout which I found to be quite perplexing. I don't know if all locations are like this but my guess is that quite a few new patients might be caught off guard. Once it was my turn to get adjusted, I was seen by the chiropractor, Dr. Robert Jaeger. He had me do a variety of stretches and when it was time for me to get adjusted, he worked my lower back, lower legs, and neck area. He also asked me quite a few questions regarding the types of pains I have experienced. Once he was able to make the right adjustments, I felt quite relieved that he had done an above average job. Once my exam was completed, Dr. Jaeger gave me a rundown of how often I should be going back, in this case several times a month and as I mentioned in the 2nd paragraph, I went with the 4 visits a month for $89. Otherwise, you can pay for one visit for $55 or a 6-visit package (that you can use anytime) for $209. It really comes down to how often your body needs to get adjusted. With that said and done, I am giving "The Joint Chiropractic" in Citrus Heights a respectful four stars. My advice is to come during the less busier times as this would prevent long wait times before you are seen. I also wanted to point out that their hours are quite generous as they are open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 10am-7pm while they are out to lunch from 2-2:45pm. However, if you go a few miles down Sunrise to their Gold River location, they are also open on Sunday. All in all, this place is getting the job done and at half the price what I was paying before. We will see how things go long term with an updated review!
