Maybe that's a flaw with staffing/ medical system if you are overworking your employee. After 2 years of a pandemic and rise in omicron cases, healthcare workers should set the standard. I am well aware of the long hours they work, but this is the bare minimum (proper mask wearing) I'm asking for because LIVES are at stake. Lack of Care: I felt that the staff at FastMed did not prioritize my care and were more concerned with casual conversations. High Cost and Inappropriate Prescription: I was charged $50 for a PA visit and received a prescription for a brand-name medication that was not covered by insurance, costing $425. I looked up the prescription and it comes in generic. But the PA was not concerned about updating the medication to the generic. Patient's Condition: I was very sick with a fever and needed medication immediately. Pharmacy Contact: I even provided the PA with the contact information for their pharmacy (Walgreens, 6 Forks Rd., phone number 919-787-1155) and asked them to call directly. PA's Incompetence: The PA failed to read the patient's notes, causing a delay in treatment despite my urgent condition. Medical Experience: I had trouble getting critical medicine and reaching the "PA's" office. Appointment Policy: Most medical facilities have a policy where if someone is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, they have to reschedule 24 hours in advance or pay a fee. The policy should go both ways. Recommended Doctor: I hugely recommend Capital Family Medicine and Dr. Short.

I didn't arrive within the 5 minute time frame and my slot was taken by the next patient. I had to wait an hour to be seen. This part was disappointing - but not unexpected as I had only made the appointment but a few minutes prior. The reason behind my rating - the nurse practitioner. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a doctor's room as I did yesterday. Not only was I greeted with a rude individual - but he proceeded to tell me that he planned to cancel the rest of his appointments the remainder of the day and obviously had no desire to be assisting me. He proceeded to cut me off - multiple times when I attempted to explain my symptoms. The worst part was the sex education talk (I was prescribed an antibiotic - where this subject came from baffles me) that he decided to give me at the end of the appointment and even disclosed his own experiences. I felt that he was extremely unprofessional and quite rude. I understand blunt personalities, but this was beyond that. I would recommend going elsewhere for care.
