I have two friends who go to this practice so I decided it was time to finally go for a primary care appointment. I called to make an appointment and they said they'd have to call me back, but if I didn't hear back from them to call back in a few days. A little weird, but okay! I called back a week later and the woman who helped me was beyond rude. If I didn't have two friend's who already had positive experiences here I would have said never mind. When she asked what I wanted to be seen for I said a general check up. She rudely told me they don't do that there. I was very confused by this!! I then explained blood work etc and she said you want a physical?! Okay, yes, a physical, the word had escaped me. Anyways I was able to score an appointment for a few weeks later and that was that. I had a much better experience with the front desk staff and enjoyed meeting Dr Pechter. I like that they have you go in for blood work before your appointment so you can discuss your results with your doctor. They have the lab right in their office so that is really convenient as well. I will definitely continue to see Dr Pechter for my yearly physical and anything that may pop up before then. read more

This clinic is representative of what's wrong with modern medicine, both in theory and practice. The office is poorly run and has been for years, with long hold times, frequently unhelpful phone "support" agents, and generally poor communication. The medical "care" is not much better. It's very much an assembly-line, factory-style approach, with very little in the way of useful advice (especially when it comes to chronic conditions). In my experience, their "advice" is generally no better than the the kind of boilerplate info one might find on Web MD or some other Big Pharma-run website. I'm new to the area, and was looking for a doctor. After a diligent search I decided I wanted to see a Dr. Pechter, so I requested an appointment online. Received an email this morning stating I wasn't a patient, and could I call the office. I called the office and explained my situation, and the person I spoke to began asking me a bunch of medical questions ie; medications, medical history etc. that I didn't think was necessary at this stage. I told the person, I would like to make an appointment to see this doctor, if she's accepting new patients, and if she's not, ok I'll find another doctor. However I'm not interested in interviewing and waiting to see if a doctor will accept me as a patient or not. Not a good experience at all. read more

I had read reviews about this business before scheduling my first colonoscopy and after reading some I became hesitant. HOWEVER, I decided to trust my instincts and book with them and I was so glad I did. The entire experience from arriving for my appointment to getting in the car to leave was top notch. The nurses were so sweet, nurturing and helpful. They helped to ease my nervousness and were very thorough with keeping me informed on all of the steps that would take place with the procedure. When Dr. Jagannath came in to meet me, his bedside manner was calm, friendly yet very direct and I loved that. He made me feel that he was not only concerned about my comfort but that most importantly he would take care of me with his utmost ability. The entire team worked together flawlessly to make my experience pleasant. I would highly recommend the Clayton office to anyone going through this procedure!!!!! read more

This has been the worst, most incompetent, least professional group of "healthcare professionals" I have ever had the displeasure of relying on at the sickest time of my life. I do not recommend this practice, especially if you expect compassionate, competent care across the board. Honestly, an urgent care is more organized, professional, respectful, and compassionate. I hope folks don't skip over this one review and it saves at least one person from the experience I've had. I am not a disgruntled patient, I am a patient who trusted this organization blindly and foolishly. At one point, an appointment was made for me, and upon arrival brittany womble/west--a PA--refused to even see me and had her nurse turn me away in the parking lot. I had been to the ER multiple times, which she knew. At that point all I was seeking was a referral which a scheduler told me I had to have an appointment to get--which turned out to be false. Brittany womble/west never gave me a referral nor apologized nor followed up on the debacle of making me drive ten miles, sick, for no reason--only to be turned away in the parking lot--like common garbage. At that point I was too sick to advocate for myself and just very disappointed in her and the organization as a whole. This is just one example of many of how they failed me during this lowest time of my life. A second failure being the hostile, aggressive, bombastic, mean CNA to Charles Schwartz. Her name is Terri and even her five minute voicemail subtly screams "don't bother me." This employee has no fear of losing her job or reprimand as her rude behavior was a pattern to which she's become accustomed. She's not even worth reviewing--just know she's another one in the wrong profession and is just not qualified for the job she has. I cannot believe this person is employed at all honestly. The communication between staff and the doctors must be nonexistent or minimal at best. It's certainly not up to the level of expectations when dealing with peoples lives and health. I was the sickest I had been my entire life and scared! Very disappointing and honestly traumatizing. I am a higher education professional so I am used to dealing with chaos and having to teach young and older adults how to be professionals but never did I think I would have to clock in at the doctor's office to teach them the same! A third failure--during this whole ordeal not once did my real doctor, Suduqqi ever reach out to see how I was. Amy Newell has been the only one thus far to show any real compassion about what they put me through. I am currently waiting for a report from my formal complaint. Very sad. read more

I got out of Rex hospital on November 19th after addressing issues with uncontrolled diabetes. It was a real wake up call and I am now entirely resolved to address this problem. I was directed on discharge to get with my primary care physician as soon as possible to get required scripts for my insulin, needles, CGM device, and any other follow-up. I had to do a Teladoc with Dr Siddiqui about 6 days after hospital discharge and I thought what was needed for path forward was clear to everyone from the call. However it became clear that the needed prescriptions were not happening. And I was subsequently never able to contact either my doctor or his nurse directly, I always had to leave a message with whoever answered the phone, and whose competence at passing on such messages was truly questionable. I attempted to use the email service they have set up but it simply didn't seem facilitate and enable communications. I never got requested calls back or confirmations about my prescriptions and I was at risk of running out of insulin and not getting the CGM on time. I have never, EVER, had such a frustrating experience dealing with so-called medical professionals. As far as I am concerned, Raleigh Medical Group failed miserably at helping me and I am now relying on an endocrinologist. I have been going to this practice for at least 20 years and I have never experienced such poor performance, especially at a time when I really needed the help. In fact, I considered complaining to the NC Medical Board but have not done so. Yet. Seems like this practice has gone way downhill. read more

I accidentally had my appointment on my calendar for Friday instead of Thursday and when I arrived they told me in a very rude way that they would not have me as a patient since I missed my appointment. I see Dr. Short, He is a great Doctor but what makes him extra special is his bed side manner. Know matter how you feel when you go into see him, you will always feel a little better right after you leave his office. Wait times are minimal. I have only been with this office (Dr. Short) for a few years and things went pretty well at first (noticeable health improvements). However the first strike was when I needed to be seen at their Saturday clinic one day. However the staff members did not show up on time to open the medical clinic, so I went to a urgent care to be treated instead. The urgent care forwarded the notes and results to my primary care doctors office and it took me weeks to get any information from my own doctors office despite repeated calls. The 2nd strike was I called in an acute gout flare up at 1 pm to my doctors office. The staff failed to take the appropriate action within a reasonable time and I had to then follow up with calls to the afterhours on call doctor. And even though the call began during the normal business day, the on call doctor said they could not prescribe the normal medicine I take for gout pain, because it was after hours. I have no idea what that even means. And when I was finally able to speak with my doctor several days later about the whole ordeal, he was more upset that I expressed my dismay with his staffs performance than he was for the fact I was left to suffer from gout pain. His comment to me was that gout did not require pain medication for treatment. What a bizarre thing to say to someone who has been dealing with gout for over 20 years. My trust in this doctor went from above avg to less than zero in less than 60 second with that ridiculous statement. I believe it was his attempt to provide cover for his staffs ineptness. The level of incompetence that is allowed to exist with the support staff is quite remarkable. I would seek out other providers because there is not gonna be a 3rd strike. read more

As a patient of Dr. Goldman's I always received A+ medical care and attention. However, since he is no longer at the practice and since he started slowly leaving the practice, my experience here has been terrible. Each time I call, someone at the front desk tells me I am not a patient there (apparently someone deleted my file at Raleigh Medical Group because I used to have a file with CARY Medical Group 10 years ago) and when I try to explain this to them, they talk to me like I am an idiot. This has been going on for a year at least. The condescending tone of the front office staff would not only be upsetting to a healthy person, but for someone who is dealing with a chronic illness and has recently lost a wonderful doctor to cancer, it's just plain unacceptable. As someone who used to work in customer service, I am always polite and courteous, but it gets me nowhere with these front desk folks. The women I have talked with usually sound like they hate their job, they hate me, and they think they are way smarter than everyone else. I was told because my back up doctor to Dr. Goldman (Dr. Lang) was not in the office one day to read my labs and some other random doctor did, that the random doctor is now my assigned doctor. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS DOCTOR and I did not ASK for this doctor. Again, when I tried to tell the appointment scheduler this, she was so condescending and awful that I wanted to hang up on her and find another practice. She told me she would research this and call me back, but sounded completely annoyed with it. Unfortunately, most practices in this area are slammed and you can't get in for months as a new patient. But, I'm going to start making calls...it's sad that the first contact with this office before you even get to see a doctor is with a front office staff who seems to be more bothered by a patient than helpful, and more importantly, they just don't listen. read more

I recently was seen there by Dr. Harris! Dr. Harris was awesome! She was very concerned, and made sure she did everything she could to help figure out what was going on with me. Her nurse was really friendly and helpful as well. I will say since I've been a patient there, the front desk staff has ALWAYS been rude and unprofessional. I've seen several complaints from Patients about the front desk staffing. Seems like no one cares because their behavior is still the same. But overall doctors and nurses are fairly nice. I have been a patient at Raleigh Medical Group for over 30 years. Up to my last visit with Dr. Tina Harris my experience has been very positive . Dr Harris made no apology for being 35 minutes late . I had driven 2 hours to make my appointment as I just recently moved but wanted to keep all my doctors . She entered the exam room with a terrible attitude as I complained to her nurse about the time I waited . An apology goes a very long way in most circumstances , none was offered .What followed left me terribly shakened. My labwork was missing from my file ( not the fault of RMG) . I suggested to Dr Harris that I leave and she call me with my lab results when she received them .Dr Harriss told me she would not call me because she would not get paid for the call . I explained that it was my lab results that I was there for and I did not think it was necessary for me to complete this appointment . Dr Harris continued to discuss the fact that she wanted payment . Never during the time she spent in the examination room did I say I would not pay her . In fact I told her I would pay for the call and the present appointment and asked her to stop talking about it . I fully understand that doctors can get detained by patients that need extra time making them late for their next appointment. What I did not understand was the unprofessional behavior of dr Harris . There was absolutely no excuse to treat a patient as I was treated . I have made the decision to leave this group. read more

For months I tried to get into see a physician after my doctor retired . They would schedule me and when I arrived was told the doctor who I was assigned to was not yet certified, therefore I would be responsible for the entire amount as my insurance would not pay for the visit. I finally had to fire them and go to another group in my insurance network that provides board certified doctors. Why hire a doctor that is not yet certified in the state of NC????? read more
