We have been here 2 times over the course of 4 days. lol it's really really good. For $18 we got churro bites, churro fries with soft serve, and a churro bowl with soft serve. I think that's a screaming deal. And the guy who fry's the churro is just the nicest person. Each time my toddler watches him fry and he dances, makes silly faces and is just overall engaging to my son. It's also very clean inside and well kept. These are authentic Spanish Churros with authentic chocolate to accompany them. Delicious, made fresh while you watch (just like in Spain), sugared to perfection. I have been dying to try this churro place for years & im so glad i finally did because the churro & soft serve were 10/10. The service was great, the gentleman with long hair who was working was very friendly & took the time to go over the whole menu with us since it was our first visit. Place is very clean and everything is displayed on the large screen. The menu is simple, pick the type of churro, fillings or toppings, sauces. My first thought of the churro fries were that they were good and crispy and then when I had a bite of the Spaniard it was even crispier! For some reason they were thinner, therefore they were crispier. The churro sticks were crispy, but only on the outside. They were slightly doughy on the inside. Keep in mind there are two locations, this one in Chandler and another one in Gilbert.... Lots of parking and interior was clean. I won a giveaway and came to redeem it. The cashier told me it was for the Gilbert location even though it did not specify on the giveaway? I'm a semi-regular here and had to do this review because every single time this place is amazing. There is a slight wait for the churros to cook, but it's worth it as it's all freshly made. I've came solo and with my family and the service is always great, staff is kind, and the churros and toppings are delicious. The stamp program they offer is clutch when you have kids as the stamps add up to get a free churro after I believe ten stamps. The churros themselves are great...served warm, tossed in cinnamon sugar. They weren't greasy at all and cooked to perfection so they have the crispy outside and soft inside...but dough is cooked! So good! Four stars because we discovered the chocolate sauce is nothing more than Hersheys chocolate sauce, like what you squeeze into your glass of milk. One cool thing about this place is that you can watch them make your order through a glass window. They make their churros in different shapes like a big loop, multiple loops, bite size or filled with flavors like nutella or delce de leche. You can then customize your churro with a variety of dips, glazes, and toppings. If you love ice cream, you can get a churro bowl with ice cream or an ice cream churro sandwich. Dulce Churro Cafe's website talks about the history of churros and how they were created by Spanish shepherds while tending their sheep. They pay homage to that in their store with a picture of a sheep in their logo and a stuffed animal on the counter. Owner Jared Naumann did a lot research on the origins of the churro and then used that as inspiration when he opened his stores. Dulce Churro Cafe was even featured on the Cooking Channel.
