Dan was an absolute pleasure to work with - he is very talented, professional, and such a nice person. At our first meeting, he provided us with samples of cakes and various fillings. It was all so delicious, we knew immediately that he was the baker we wanted for our wedding cake! His attention to detail on his designs is impeccable. We also had a rather large Lenox cake topper, and Dan made sure that the top of the cake could accommodate it with no problems. We chose yellow cake with cookies and cream filling. Our cake was amazing and looked absolutely stunning! We received nothing but compliments on it the day of the wedding, with many guests asking who our baker was. Dan was also able to bake a small vegan cake to accommodate those few guests who had dietary restrictions. They all raved about it, and I even heard that at the end of the night they fought over who would take home the extra slices! He said he's been coming to this bakery for quite some time and his brother always buys a bunch of things when he visits. There was plenty of free parking on a Saturday night and the store itself was brightly lit. Very spacious inside and very clean. I was surprised at the variety and amount of items for sale! Everything was stocked pretty full, especially the cookies and individual pastries. I believe everything goes by weight when you're purchasing the cookies and pastries but if you have any questions, the staff were super sweet, patient and helpful! Hubby purchased an assortment of items like eclairs, cookies, rainbow cookies, cannolis and some sort of Napoleon looking pastry. Although some were a bit on the sweeter side (I have a sweet tooth too), everything was very delicious! I was very surprised that the butter cookies were really good because those are usually my least favorite anywhere I go. The rainbow cookies were also very good! There were no tables and chairs for customers so if you were planning on sitting down to enjoy something, sorry! We ordered a Vegan Red Velvet Birthday Cake and a half-dozen "shuga pies" - I picked them up yesterday and Terry's service and product were both EXCELLENT. We surprised her with them today and both the cake and the shuga pies were otherworldly good. I have had a LOT of vegan desserts over the past few years, and I have to honestly say, this were the best vegan desserts I have ever had. I would give them more stars if I could.
