What an amazing place! A friend of mine had tried this out a few months ago and said I should check it out. I'm so glad I did. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. First of all, the chips and queso sauce that they start you with is excellent. So much better than other places and the usual cheap chips that are often served. In the menu they had a picture of their quesadillas and I decided to try three different ones. I had beef, pork, and steak. Each one was seasoned perfectly and I could not believe the price at $3.50 each. Also, their bottled beer was $4 each so very affordable. The Cecina's description is what convinced me to give it a try, "marinated in special spices and grilled to perfection resulting in tender and savory meat". I felt insane, because I'd jump from place to place being told that they were good Mexican places, but none felt like they stayed true to what I knew as my home flavors. This place definitely does! The first time I tried the pastor with pineapple quesadillas/tacos I felt truly homesick. It is amazing, truly, authentic Mexican food. The bar drinks look great too and the service is what's you'd expect for a small family run taco operation. After waiting 20 min or so was told the bartender, wouldn't make them and we would have to wait on the next person to clock in....(Either you have them on the menu or you don't. The place was nice and clean and the wait staff were very friendly. The margarita had more orange juice than I prefer, but that simply means I'll try something different next time and it was delicious still. So, if you like an OJ heavy margarita, you'll love it.
