Ordered catering for 30 for the 3rd time last week...cant say enough good things about this place. We love it. SAME DAY ORDER! They serve for 30 "hungry" people. The brc burritos were such a hit, we need to order extra next party. Tortillas are individually wrapped so they stay warm. (We have shafers but still). The salsas are soo good, its soo hard to choose (my fav is the habanero). They are just on point, food is good and i cant recommend them enough. Wow! Where do I begin. I will just list the experience. There is nothing authentic about this place. There's also no aroma when you walk in. A sure sign of disaster. 1. Chips were dry and hard as cardboard soaked in super glue. 2. The salsas that are supposed to be medium and hot are bland and mild. The habanero one is standard on point but not everyone can handle that level. 3. The tortillas were barely cooked. Look at the photos from others. They look as if they just threw them on the grill for 10 seconds just to get them to fold. 4. Carnitas - not crispy, literally moist as if boiled, no seasoning, no flavor, not even the hint of any salty flavor. Period. 5. Who buys metal chairs for a concrete floor so that when you move the chair it creates a screetching grinding loud noise reverberating throghout your restaurant with no sound dampening - all hard surfaces. 6. Even the cilanto was bland. I had more authentic cheese enchiladas with red sauce and refried beans and rice at Disneyland when I was a kid than this fake joint. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! This meat is so flavorful! First time in this place. I'm greeted with a smile by a gentleman at the register named Jorge. I asked him some questions and he answered politely and without a problem to share his knowledge. Now let me tell you, I like to go to Mexican restaurants and order the quesabirria's. By far these are the most flavorful I've eaten. The flavor of the sauce resembles mole but birria together. The only minus about this is the double tortilla. But let's say I prefer more meat less tortilla. I also ordered 8oz if carnitas. One bite and I was hit with a bomb if flavor! I've never had carnitas taste this delicious, and I've eaten my share of carnitas. I tried their salsa verde with guacamole, delicious! One of their red salsas. Same flavorful taste. I recommend you come in this place and order some of their food. With the meat tasting this good, you may like the other food they have. Not really impressed. With all of the glowing reviews of this place, I was expecting so much more. I come to the Orchards shopping center pretty regularly, and this was one of the spots that I hadn't tried. Finally decided to have lunch here one afternoon. The interior space is small but very clean and festive. They have a few tables both inside and outside for dining. You order at the counter and pick your food up at the window. Let me start off by saying that the prices are very high for a taqueria. Maybe because it's Walnut Creek?! Not sure, but the price doesn't match the quality or portions. I ordered a crunchy chicken taco plate and a strawberry banana smoothie to be eaten there. They have a small chips and salsa bar which is complimentary. The salsas were all really good but the chips were too salty. Even though I told them that I was eating my food there, they packaged everything for to-go which was weird. Not sure if they're doing this because of COVID or maybe they just forgot, but I felt bad for wasting the to-go container and the bag. The crunchy taco plate was really disappointing. Like the chips, everything was way too salty. They make their crunchy tacos like a taquito, and the meat fillings were small. They just threw everything on top of the shells, so everything fell off when I tried to eat it. Very poorly constructed. If I would have known that this was how it was prepared, I would have gotten street tacos instead. Either way, I just wasn't impressed with this meal. The only thing that was worth it was the strawberry banana smoothie. It was made from scratch and tasted as such. Really creamy and fresh, but I probably still wouldn't come back here just for that. Apparently they have a really popular taco Tuesday deal. I'd like to give them a second chance at some point. But with all of the other delicious taquerias close by in Concord, I don't think I'll be rushing to do so. read more

This review is for a Door Dash order. Tonight, we ordered a super burrito, two regular burritos, and enchilada plate, two tacos, a bionico, a slice of flan and salon in a cup. I thought that we should try each of the different types of flan they have to see how they compare to flan at different restaurants. For the super burrito with carne asada, it was missing sour cream also the entire burrito was very greasy and the carne asada was dry and my partner was amazed that even with that much oil it was still pretty tasteless. The chicken burrito was dry. The chicken enchiladas were dry, and my son complained about the quality of the meat. The al pastor taco and the birra taco were too salty and the meat quality wasn't okay enough for me either. The flan in the cup was pretty tasteless and I will never order this one again. The slice of line actually tasted like slime but with less flavor than normal flan. I was hoping that the bionico could be the saving grace but it was way too sweet and some of the fruit pieces were pretty mushy, so it could not have been very fresh. read more

Stopped by to grab a something eat while at Mike Hess. Because whats better than beer and burritos. I went with the Carne Asada super burrito without beans. First off I was under the impression that the super burrito came with guacamole but mine did not. I am now unsure if it was supposed to come with it. With that aside my burrito was good but nothing special. There was a lot of meat throughout the burrito but it just didn't have a huge amount of flavor. I wish I had grabbed more salsa to pour over it. Also It was smaller than I expected for a super burrito but that's just off the American sizes seen elsewhere. It was plenty of food for me! The service was wonderful and quick and the interior is very clean if you're going to eat there. My husband likes the carnitas burrito supreme I dove in and tried their chile relleno burrito supreme. Both were beyond outstanding! My chile relleno burrito was spicy but not too spicy with a wonderful mix of flavors. At first the pricing seems a little high, but I've got to tell you with those super burritos? You are looking at two meals per burrito so we consider it very reasonably priced. We also appreciate the fact that a bag of chips and some salsa are available for you to nibble on while they get your order together or you can take them home.
