My parents said this is their go to place for tacos so I had to try it out. Super friendly when ordering. I got a super burrito with the shredded chicken. It was very good and I'm glad they have unlimited salsa to put on top of it. My husband got the California burrito. He loved it as well. Of course my parents got tacos, my dad getting carne asada and my mom getting shredded chicken. I feel like a lot of places don't have a self service salsa bar anymore so it's awesome that we can all try and grab the salsas we want. The place was very clean. When we came no one was there but there are plenty of TVs if you want to sit and eat your food.

This little place was the perfect spot to eat right before a concert. The cashier and waitress were super nice. Chips were warmed under the heating lamp, but chips moved quickly. The sauce bar let's you pick whatever you want. The food was hearty. The portions are super big and very filling. If you're going to a concert nearby or just need a burrito, try this place and you won't be disappointed!!

Alright peeps let's see who is on the chopping block todaaayyyyy!!! Alright Los Portales Taqueria come on down!! Alright let's start off from the front of the store. They share their parking with Safeway and other store but still a lot of space. They have a/c so it feels good inside in hot weathers. They also have seating outside so that's good too. This was my second time here so I decided to order a burrito last time I had the quesabirria torta. I'll get into details on that in a bit. The lady greeted us and asked what we would like. Here is what we ordered. Food: Al pastor with rice refried beans salsa onion and cilantro. Carne asada wet burrito with shredded lettuce on top. Drinks: Fountain drink coke Large horchata Alright let's dig in to the food my friend was the one that ordered the wet burrito. He finished the burrito he said it was very good. Mine burrito was made wrong I had ordered refried beans and they gave me whole beans. I did not want to return it or make a fuzz about it so decided to continue eating it after a few bites I notice that it had so much onions I did not know it was an onion burrito instead of meat. Finally I took a few more bites and found the meat. It was dry and no flavor. But again did not want to do a fuzz about it so I continued to eat. Finally I decided to stop eating this burrito after seeing a hair on the burrito inside by the meat. It was a black curly hair. After looking by where the cook is at I noticed that the person cooking had no hair net and had curly black hair. After almost throwing up my food I decided to throw away the burrito and walk out. Over all disgusting really bad experience. Now like I said I was going to explain to you my first experience. The first time a tried this place I ordered the quesabirria torta. I will save you the stomach pain don't get it. The bread is so soggy that it feels like you are eating a big bugger it was so slimy that just the feel of it on the mouth it made you want to spit it back out. The meat was so bland that even the salt in the table did not help out. Since they poured the sauce on top the bread gets cold right away. Now for the moment of truth is this place Dendinger approved. Unfortunately NO NO NO NO NO!!!! When eating at a restaurant you want to feel safe that you will not find hair in your food. And this place made sure to out hair on mine. Ruining the whole experience. I decided to give them a second chance and it was so disappointing that I don't think I will ever go back again. As a Latin restaurant this place lacked so much seasoning it was overall the worst experience ever.

I was craving some tacos after a night out. The place my friend recommended was closed. But yelp helped me find this place... and I was definitely not disappointed!!! Food was fast, it was delish! They had a self help chips and salsa bar. Mind you the chips are made in-house! My son and I both had the combo crispy tacos plate. We devoured it! He is already asking to go back!!! I can't wait to come back to try the different items! Oh. Their horchata is one of the best I've had. Ambiance was quiet... because they were open on New Year's Day!

I'd never had taco Tuesday until a month ago and yes I'd been missing a lot, so now I've been kinda obsessed with taco Tuesdays and been trying it at different taquerias. Today I decided to try the taco Tuesday at Los Portales Taqueria. At $2.40 per taco, and you could choose your meat from the options of chicken or pork, it was a pretty good deal. I decided to try the pork el pastor (which was really delicious, and I would definitely get this again) and the grilled chicken (which typically I like but particularly today it was not my favorite, probably on a taco Tuesday like today they perhaps cook the chicken kind of in a rush, so it was lacking the delicious grilled/charred flavor). However, overall, I was still really happy with my dinner. I would definitely come back again to try other taco options.

Delicious!!! We bring everyone and they love it!!!

Great food. Serves quickly and deliciously! My husband wouldn't leave my plate alone. Everything is great. My go to.

Ok I've tried this place 3x in past couple years and it was just so bad every time. Worst was a breakfast burrito with hard pieces like scraped dry from maybe other orders I don't know but tasted like pieces of paper in my burrito ok fast forward to tonight. I said let's just get rice n beans cause I made enchiladas at home. The soggiest rice I have ever ordered and the beans honestly just not good tasted like canned. No bueno and never again. Soggy soggy rice sigh. Wish they were good cause so close.

Mum really likes the chicken enchiladas from this establishment & their pico de gallo. My favorite is the menudo they made from scratch. The tripe is soo tender & consistently delicious! Milanese Plate was right up there is yumminess. Each time I come here I try to try something new on their menu. Plentiful portions if you go with the birria plate There is indoor & outdoor seating available. Depending on time of day to-go orders seem to be the predominate method.

This place has a self serve salsa bar with plenty of seating and homey feel. They service is quick and accommodating. This is my go to spot for tacos and agua frescas. This is what we got: 2 quesabirria tacos plate (4/5) - newest one on the menu and its a pretty good deal with plenty of birria meat in each taco. Make sure you add some salsa in the consomme to adjust to your liking! Al pastor tacos (5/5) - just amazing flavor with the smokiness and the amount of meat they put in their food makes this meal so worth it for the price! Def recommend coming here taco Tuesday and every day of the week too!

Asked for no tomato and they gave me a lot lol smh

Super refreshing and balanced. The Dude ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and really enjoyed those as well. Customer service was also really good. The mango margarita.... Best thing I ordered! Cons- Burritos lacked flavor and was pretty unremarkable. The cheesecake. Idk if it was spoiled or a different type of cheesecake but it didn't taste good at all. My daughter ate it bc she's greedy lol and said that it tastes "interesting". I do feel like the food we ordered is not prepared the way I'm familiar with, so I'll own that. BUT flavor is flavor and this place did not do it for me at all.

We did find one that had excellent street tacos but they were very pricey, three tacos for $16.99 with no chips. I would need to get two orders so 6 street tacos with tax and tip would be well over $40 which is No Bueno. We weren't sure what to expect from La Tapatia but I liked that the menu had crunchy tacos. I ordered a pork tamale, a crunchy ground beef taco and some arroz. My friend ordered a chile relleno and a crunchy ground beef taco. The food came with complimentary tortilla chips and a salsa dip with frijoles. The dip and Chios were fresh and the salsa with blended with frijoles was enjoyable. The crunchy tacos were fried nicely and had a good amount of filling. I thinking about trying carnitas as the filling but there a bit of a charge. The tamale was pretty good. The masa was not too dry or too wet. The meat to masa ratio was about right. My friend liked his chile relleno. The rice was more well done than I usually prefer and needed a little more seasoning. Overall, the food was delicious, service very attentive and pricing was a bit higher than other restaurants but still fair. I plan to take the family next trip and try other dishes. I pointed out to he waiter that he had a crumb on his chin and he wiped and chuckled like a nice champ. The music is pleasant but a bit louder than needed so I brought out the earplugs. The entire indoor setup is nice. Our food is arriving after what seems like a long wait meaning either the food is being served fresh, hot and tasty, or we are in for a mediocre experience. Our two plates arrived. Chilli relleno and Grilled chicken enchilada. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the smallish squair white plates. Reminds me of trying to look upscale. We own plates like these and that didn't work. Wife's enchilada plate was covered with three hot and very tasty chicken filled food bombs plus sides. The chili plate looked a little weak (too much plate showing) but that was the tastiest chilli relleno ever in 40 years of me enjoying these. Served hot with cheese filled up to the ying yang, an extra spiciness I have never had before that I loved and me wishing I had a spoon to scrape up the end of the sauce. Isla's fish tacos are phenomenal--easily the best in the area and a must-have every single time. I usually go for the tilapia, though I've sampled the red snapper as well.
